Poland is 4th in the world when it comes to player base, yet we cannot find 5 decent players to consistently stay on top. :(

Yeah, might have to do something with your community. Everyone wants to be the hero, nobody wants to put effort in the theoretical part and once you lose like 3 matches you guys "disband". So yeah, pretty hard for talents to find stability and grind their skill level.

You cannot generalise like that. And I don't think calling to "disband" is Polish thing. I'm a VP fan for a very long time and the last thing I want is for them to disband. But it surprises me that after such a long time we don't have at least 3 teams in Tier 1-2. But who knows. AGO is doing well recently and they definitely can improve. VP did some changes, maybe they need some time. edit. On the other hand playerbase in USA is 3x bigger than in Poland and only recently they are getting some results.

I'm not talking about teams already in the higher tiers. I'm talking about players aged between 13-18, they are struggling a lot finding stability and keeping the same roster for longer than a month. I'm talking about local LAN events, I don't see that many in PL anymore, while in DK lanparty.dk/oversigt - we have many. What I see mostly in PL is solo-grinding faceit, while like 8 years back Poland was dominating ESL, you had your own GameBack/Allplay leagues and the easiest place for my team to find pcw was #5on5, #cw.pl on irc. Back then teams were sticking together while now you kick someone after 2 matches because you lost your elo-points. Now, I don't understand polish, but the other day I joined the starladder PL stream just to see what they write and god damn, I saw so many "taz would've clutched this" "-pasha -neo" etc. etc. and the mods were changing status all the time for subs only, like wtf. It was a war in the chat lol. Well, you can't really compare EU cs to NA cs. CS to NA is like football (soccer), they play it, but the big interest is NFL (which in gaming would be COD). NA DOMINATES COD. CS is more meh, just playing some random pugs, having fun and being toxic. You should compare PL cs to DK, SWE, FR cs, not NA. And PL cs is falling behind a lot, on all aspects in and out of game.

In generall totally agree with your observations but there are some caveats. Yes, we have a big player pool but we have no major sponsors in Esports here in Poland. It started to change from like late 2016 and now it is really improving and we have a lot of professional teams on lower tiers but still, the pay is so bad and the orgs have over the top expectations. We had this problem since 1.6 we had no endemic orgs. Each iteration of the golden five had to play for a foreign org. German, Swedish etc etc. If you compare it to Sweden or Denmark they have their national/endemic orgs in the scene. Also the other problem is there was no change of guard in Polish CS. Kuben and Loord just retired didn't move on to lower level teams and passed their knowledge and experience. So yeah in generall what you say is true but there are a lot more factors and issues you don't know about. RIP Polish CS 2006-2017 [*]
