which is better: Fnatic 2015-2016 era or SK 2017-2018 era (btw no one cares about NiP 87-0 2013-2014 era that shit was a long time ago RIP NIP)
2018-02-22 23:03
Fanatic era wasn't 2014-2015?
2018-02-22 23:04
I dunno he is on site since 2014 so he knows better :D Fnatic was 2nd in 2016 surely after SK and it was more 2014-2015 than 2015-2016.

I guess we can end this thread with: Fnatic era more dominant and better. SK era more consistent! END

I may not be objective, but honestly Fnatic won 2 Majors in the 2015-2016 era and much more back to back tournaments. Who knows what else would they do if Olof didnt get injured.

fnatic, they were waaaaaaaaay more dominant during their era and noone could touch them. SK era was incosistent at best, a lot of dissapoiting results during it.
2018-02-22 23:07
fnatic was beaten by nip in cologne, by ldlc in dh winter, by tsm all the time, barely won overtime against vp in cologne 15, won super luckily ovetime against envyus, got raped by prime envyus, then they farmed lower tier tournaments in 2016 when shuffles were being done

Are you fucking braindead? Just fucking compare how many tier1 tournament wins they had at the time in comparison to LDLC/envy. They were dominant as fucking fuck, and this comes from a french fanboi.
2018-02-22 23:21
didn't say the contrary... just that it's false to say their domination was uncontested, they lost a lot and they often won very closely

You should maybe watch this We all know you brazilians are newfags and almost know nothing about cs Even if you hate thooorin and lurppis watch this anyway lurppis basicly said that SK is probably the best team of csgo in a tweet but then he started to look up everything about these 3 teams NiP Fnatic and SK and he changed is mind youtube.com/watch?v=pFdivFO6BWo

watched the video... I agree, but not totally. not saying this because I'm "brazilian new fag", "cry is free" and blablabla, but I think SK is better team that NIP was, but not close to Fnatic... if I say "back in NIP era there was no competition, and teams were in transition to CSGO" maybe sound a little excuse.. but I really think Fnatic had a dominant era, NIP had an easy or comfortable era, and SK never had an era, but is better than NIP was, imo. I believe FaZe, Astralis, G2 are better and more consistent teams that those back in NIP era. maybe I'm wrong, CSGO is not even my top 10 game, I don't really followed the scene from the beggining
2018-02-23 00:34
Agree, SK is still top 1/2. Arguable. But c9 is definitely not better than sk

I paused at 18:43. I'll see the rest of the video later. But as I can see they're basically saying that NIP/Fnatic played as a top 1 team in a most consistent period, while SK became a top 1 team an then started getting eliminated prematurely in the tournaments. That's fair. But we have to consider that NIP era has ended, and so does Fnatic era. Of course SK are not as consistent as those 2 teams at their peak, but let's see if I can explain this in the right way to you: For example: In a race tournament, the winner gets 3 points, the second place gets 2 and the third gets 0. In a period of 3 races, the racer 'A' won the first 2 races and finished third in the last one. So he got 6 points in total. The racer 'B' finished second in the first 2 races, and won the final one. So he gets 7 points. The last racer doesn't matter in this case. So what I'm trying to say, is that the racer 'B' always stayed on the top(2nd-2nd-1st), even though he wasn't the best in performance. While the racer 'A' was dominant for a period of time, but dropped his performance at the end(1st-1st-3rd). SK in this case, is the racer 'B'. Not dominant, but always on the top. And before you say it isn't fair for the third place to get 0 points, in F1 they use this same system. If a Racer dominates the entire championship but decrease his performance at the end, the guy who didn't won any race, but stayed at the top till the end wins the Championship. Vettel for example on his first title. For the whole championship he wasn't the first place on the ranking a single time, but he were always on the top.

i thought an era was total and undisputed dominance... but i guess winning 3 matches in a row in epl is now an era
2018-02-22 23:47
Fnatic was a way more dominant team , They won as much as SK have done today in just 2015 i think 2015 was a harder year than 2016 because Fnatic and NaVi died when olofmeister and GuardiaN had their injuris and the frence scene was playing bad VP Fnatic NaVi French scene TSM/Astralis C9 All of them played better in 2015 than 2016 And LG/SK first major win was so lucky i think that SK even had a time where they did not win anything for 8 months durins these 2 years

Yes 4 majors and alot of another Tier 1 events no country is close to Sweden in how many events they have won , Sweden have like more than 2x than brazil 2012 - Early 2016 We will never know how the scene would look like today if olofmeister never had his hand injury , he was off the game for 3 months and that fucked Fnatic so hard they tiled and lost all teamwork And Sweden was #1 cs country overall for 16 years in a row ( Not best team every year but as a country with many teams/players in high rankings ) hltv.org/blog/5446/country-rankings-2000..
2018-02-22 23:58
no one here is disputing that sweden is greatest so far. We were talking about the teams, i think that fnatic is still the best one but it ended, sk can still improve their era, lets see what the future holds.

sk never had an era and never will they are bad and getting worse
2018-02-23 22:06
SK Era has proven to be the most competitive and stacked in CSGO so far. Cause of Fnatic failure to even win something smaller after LG/SK first major.. BASICALLY, Fnatic couldn't handle the SK era and during Fnatic era LG/SK were not 100% familiar with the game CS:GO, they started the team only at the end of 2014 and basically competing in low level SA competition..

2018-02-23 00:01
This a legit argument.. i want an argument from you.
2018-02-23 00:40
"SK era most stacked ever" what makes you say that? I'd disagree. Fnc actually won tournaments outside of the majors they won consecutively, and in a more dominant fashion. It wasn't even close when it came to favourites in tournaments. "Fnc couldn't handle SK era" yea not cause olof had an injury or anything like that and that players came off form. Following this logic, are we to assume that SK right now for the last year couldn't handle immortals, gambit or c9 because they placed higher in majors than SK recently? Is that because SK "can't handle" these teams? Fnatic era was much more dominant, and consisted of much more important event titles. FNC era>>> SK era aka 2 average majors tbh

2018-02-23 00:01
CS competitive level is currently starting to slump actually. Half of the teams are directly hitting the age wall. Astralis, g2, c9 have healthy looking age structure thus competitive. SK has 2-3 years to go with the current roster as it stands. Faze prolly same. At some point gonna need a some sort of ladder system by valve or something to get fresh new blood into the competition

Only if u cheered for fnatic. They dominated the scene so hard it became somewhat boring. the underdog stories were better though, fnatic really was the villain or the raid boss.
2018-02-23 01:38
True, but I still belive that the fnatic era as you say "They dominated the scene so hard it became somewhat boring" was/is more dominant than SK etc :D
2018-02-23 15:41
fnatic was more dominant. they were really trashing teams easily. it wasnt that they had really good tactics. their defaults were great but nothing too special. i mean other teams were just as good as them indiviudally like the astralis core, frenchies, vp, nip etc. but the ratio was like fnatic won 6-7 times out of 10 against them. it was way higher on lan and when it mattered more. it was more confidence than skill. jw not backing down against any team roaming apps on inferno ct side with a cz was just ridiculous. with sk, they always had some really close matches but they were always mentally prepared and were really hard to beat. like every 2-3 months they get a mental reset and get trashed by a random team but other than those one in a hundred occasions sk rarely loses a match that counts. and when they really need to step up they are literally 5 of the best players in the world taco included. its not like a vp plow but the shit they pull out of nowhere is remarkable. you ust cant surprise sk. like lets say the opposing team have a full buy. and when they are like that to win a round they literally have to lose 4 guys and win a clutch. thats why sk na vi matches were so fun. still i liked lg era more than sk era.

META CHANGED Teams in 2014-2015-2016 used to rely more on individual performances and every single fnatic player was able to step up and make huge skill required plays, saying those years wasn't competitive makes you newfag automatically. Teams in late 2016 and until today rely a lot more in teamplay and so far SK showed us great consistency through almost every tournament. Some people might like SK more because it clearly made the game more easy and understandable when it comes to watching but on the other hand people that enjoy individual performances, aim battles and more of a mid-round calls know that Fnatic era was all about this. TL:DR; 3 Majors > 2 Majors
