France Xpens1ve
What's going on ?! The prices almost doubled, the GTX 1050TI was like 150$ , now it costs between 220 -230$!! Anyone knows why or it just here in France ! :'(
2018-02-23 08:10

no bro, nothing to do with minor. they are "mining" the bitcoins. For that they need a lot of GPU Power. Big miners have whole storage houses filled with GPUs that are calculating the blockchains. they make provit with it. So the miners buy a huge amount of GPUs and thats what make the prices explode.
2018-02-23 08:25
whatever you said does not relate to csgo im pretty sure you're wrong as this was posted in the csgo section

People are buying GPUs in bulk so they can mine for crypto
2018-02-23 08:16
He means that due to the bitcoin mining the demand for gpus is so high that the Costs exploded.
2018-02-23 08:16
Not only did prices* explode, but so has nvidia's stock in the past year... You don't need to invest in cyptos themselves to benefit from the cyrptocraze.

Crypto is the future, it's not going to die out but just get larger. Many crypto companies will die off but right now if you pick right you could find the next Amazon, google, apple, microsoft. The price of crypto now is nothing compared to what the big coins will be worth in 5 years.

he is true. Its nothing racist man. The biggest miners are in asia, like he said in China, Hongkong etc. So they buy a lot of the GPU stocks empty, so we as normal users have to pay a lot more for them.
2018-02-23 09:51
He's totally right. The majority of the miners are in Asia. They have huge warehouses with thousands of comps set up. You don't even know what racism is son. China is not a race, it's a country.

2018-02-23 09:41
the crypto insanity is unstoppable i remember when people used to buy gpus to play video games and use them for work, now there are thousands of gpus in a garage of some retard that ruins everything
2018-02-23 09:48
That retard is making a lot more money then you :) If mining was not making profit then nobody would be doing it and there would be plenty of cards out there at a good price. Mining on your comp pays for your card after time so it's a free card.

but right now, i don't think, they gonna lower the prices. During the release of the maxwell serie "900" they reduced the prices duo to the fact that, Sony sold more than 70 million ps4 consoles around the world, the percentage of lowering the prices in the next Gen is very low. (Eco factors that's 4 sure. )

because 1050 is the entry level card, 670/770 were top of the range at the time it is certainly not worth the extra money. buy a second hand older card and then buy a new one when the prices come back down.

u made my day son! well, at-least u should know about the fact that "HLTV" is a gaming community, in which people share their gaming experiences( specifically in csgo), i think even a dumber understand the fact that a GPU is related to the gaming industry ,and CSGO is a part of the gaming industry (2nd most played game.)But i'm not gonna blame u son, duo to 3 reasons, The first, about the fact that, u think that "Cryptocurrency" is a knowledge that has to be learned (in fact only Eco experts knows about the up n' down of the Digital economy ) The 2nd reason, u already confirmed that ur ashamed about ur country. The 3rd idon't know in which cave u live in, but ur a pure capitalist's product.( i don't blame u still a teenager.)

Because retarded Nvidia acts like they didn't know that cryptominers would overrun the market and create a shortage of GPUs. Now they can start raising their prices for the new cards as well and overtake the world.
2018-02-23 11:29
Well the price hike happened because of the cryptoming hype that accompanied the rise in value for cryptocurrencies. But the miners, being mostly retards bought gaming gpus instead of getting an asic which would be way more efficient and would not fuck over the gpu market.
2018-02-23 11:36
You don't know much about mining. It's actually cheaper to build your own multi card rig then buy an asic miner. ASIC miners are constantly being upgraded to newer ones and almost nothing for a resale value but if you build an Amazing mining rig you also built an amazing gaming rig that has resell value.
2018-02-23 12:00
That is true, I have never mined, I just thought that asic machines being built specifically for mining should be more efficient than a machine that can both mine and play games, etc. Thanks for correcting my mistake :)
