CSGO dead? price pool analysis
World PewPewKurt
y0 bois, I have analysed csgo price pools from 2k16 - 2k18 mehtod: - international lans with pool > 50.000 $ - excluding majors, because I wanted to rebuild the "free market" results: 2k16: ~ 8.6 million 2k17: ~24.5 million 2k18 (including already announced events/pools ): 5.4 million many bigger pools are still tba 2k17 (jan-march) : 2.65 million 2k18 (finished events) : 2.55 million for this comparison, I included Sl finals in 2k17 (actually took place in april) and the 1.5 million world final chinese event what will take place this month under "finished events". Both have the same price money 2k17 and 2k18 but the dates are swapped, so its correct to include them both. conclusion: after massive growths 2k17, it seems it reached its peek! I cant tell if 2k17 > 2k18 or 2k18 > 2k17. But the numbers show that the explosion of prizepools is over. #rip

they are high enough already i dont see how increasing or decreasing prize pools mean anything

prize pool is a direct indicator for the range of your product. "high enough" is a non-existing term.

They should have a community raised prize pool like The International at dota. A percentage of cases or items bought ingame will go to the prize pool.
