As a turkish person i wonder if anyone who is not from turkey knows anything about Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ? Do you love him or no ? Why ? ( I know a lot of people love him because they love his ideas ) Some of his words : -Our true mentor in life is science. -Teachers are the one and only people who save nations. -Victory is for those who can say "Victory is mine". Success is for those who can begin saying "I will succeed" and say "I have succeeded" in the end. - A healthy mind in a healthy body. -Do not be afraid of telling the truth. My favorites : -If one day, my words are against science, choose science -PEACE AT HOME, PEACE IN THE WORLD.

I do and I'm pretty admirative. He was decades ahead of the whole Middle East region (and still is). Republic, secularism, women right. Educated man. Supportive of science and cultural enlightenment. Sad to see everything he did getting destroyed by Erdogan.

macrons lefist talking
2018-03-13 23:19
1. Macron is not leftist so you are dumb 2. I don't support Macron so you are dumb x2
2018-03-13 23:20
macron talks shit all the time how he will invade syria + all that pro EU shit. he is deficnition of lefist
2018-03-13 23:21
So much bullshit in one sentence that's unbelievable. LOL He never said he will invade Syria, wtf are you on ? We are not USA or Russia. And being pro-war/invasion is more of a rightist thing than leftist. Pro-EU is actually more of a centrist or liberal idea (free market and stuff). Macron is very liberal. He want to develop thing like trade or stock exchange. He gives tax cuts to big companies and rich people, he shits on students, poors, and want to reduce social expanditures. He is the opposite of a classic leftist, you are so ignorant it hurts.
2018-03-13 23:28
bbc.com/news/world-europe-43053617 also how the fuck can he be liberal and the same time he wants france in EU? get as brain idiot. rightist thing is about freedom so right is only pro self defence wars and tottaly against invasions so right support syria and is agaisnt france and usa and israel
2018-03-13 23:43
Threat to send strikes = plan to invade ? LOL How is not EU a liberal thing you dumbass ? EU promotes trade, free market, with no fees, no tax, better competition. This is typical liberal policy.
2018-03-13 23:44
ok, you are braindead. no fees? ahahahah. when i want to buy a car from other EU country i have to pay 20% of the value of the car fee! some companies get bribes form EU govs while others dont. these 2 facts are enough to kill your bullshit line. even fucking eu parlament has communbist spinelli over their doors. EU is a mix of 3rd reich and soviet union. EU i so liberal im prisoned for having a joint in my house or having 9mm ammo. damn im even prisoned for haviung a kitchen knife in my car or visiting a rightist website. i donbt mention censorship and banning websites and total invigilation
2018-03-14 00:01

Once religious dogma becomes involved (see Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc. before the cold war), I think it becomes more of a generational thing... as in, you need to wait for this generation (and possibly the next) to die out before any radical change is even possible again. It's even more difficult in Saudi Arabia because of how much wealth is centralized with the same people. Hopefully its sooner rather than later.

"Even before accepting the religion of the Arabs, the Turks were a great nation. After accepting the religion of the Arabs, this religion, didn't effect to combine the Arabs, the Persians and Egyptians with the Turks to constitute a nation. (This religion) rather, loosened the national nexus of Turkish nation, got national excitement numb. This was very natural. Because the purpose of the religion founded by Muhammad, over all nations, was to drag to an including Arab national politics. For nearly five hundred years, these rules and theories [regarding civil and criminal law] of an Arab Shaikh and the interpretations of generations of lazy and good-for-nothing priests have decided the civil and criminal law of Turkey. They have decided the form of the Constitution, the details of the lives of each Turk, his food, his hours of rising and sleeping the shape of his clothes, the routine of the midwife who produced his children, what he learned in his schools, his customs, his thoughts-even his most intimate habits. This theology of an immoral Arab [presented as Islam] is a dead thing. Possibly it might have suited tribes in the desert. It is no good for modern, progressive state. God's revelation! There is no God! These are only the chains by which the priests and bad rulers bound the people down. A ruler who needs religion is a weaklings. No weaklings should rule! I have no religion, and at times I wish all religions at the bottom of the sea. He is a weak ruler who needs religion to uphold his government; it is as if he would catch his people in a trap. My people are going to learn the teachings of science. Let them worship as they will; every man can follow his own conscience, provided it does not interfere with sane reason or bid him act against the liberty of his fellow man." Ataturk

I know he is generally seen as a good leader for Turkey but def. is responsible for some horrible crimes. I liked that he tried to secularize Turkey and it's a shame that Erdocunt and his AKP fanatics now destroys this and lead Turkey into a very bad situation for centuries to come.

2018-03-13 23:01
He was definitely a political genius and a revolutionary leader. He tried to bring back once lost importance of science to Turkey again. But his and Ismet's sloppy constitution selections(especially about agricultural and Ataturk's and mostly Ismet's movements against Islam) hurt this country a lot. That's expected tho. Although they are more soldiers then politicians. They like to dictate their ideas. Like today's ''Great'' Leader who loved almost %50 percentage of people. KEK

I was born and grew up in the same city as him. Whether I like him or not is irrelevant. He did good and bad things. But one has to respect him. If it wasn't for him modern Turkey wouldn't even exist, and even if it did it would be almost indistinguishable from the arabs (you would still write with arabic letters), less people would be educated and the army wouldn't obey a secular state, but a sultan. So, in this time when sultan Erdogan tries to take you back to the muslim middle ages, followed by all the uneducated muslim masses of the east, remember who made you what you are today. (Btw that thing with Kemal pictures and flags everywhere in Turkey has to stop, its cringy as fuck)

Leader who gave woman civil and political rights lmao... How can anyone respect thim after that... Also he was oppressing minorities, assimilating them to Turk nation... Hes disgrace compared to mighty sultan Erdogan, not even Russia and USA can harm him, he made his country so strong, also 2nd most powerful army in whole NATO after USA, fighting 2 big evils - commie kurds and ISIS (who are supported by USA )
