im pretty sure sleep is like everything in your life.
once u get used to a pattern ur body will adapt to that.
but if u sleep just 4 hours daily for 1 month i think ur body will also get used to that.
sleep is mandatory for humans...

Ideal is 4 hours of deep (REM) sleep per night and you wont get it if you sleep 4 hours. It takes like 2 hours until you reach it so the minimium is 6.
