1- Messi/Ronaldo 2- Messi/Ronaldo 3- Kane/Salah/De Bruyne??? Who???

Messi without any doubt
2018-03-20 21:39
We will see, CR almost caught up in goals at La Liga. Better goal average. Double the goals in CL. If Barcelona doesn’t win CL, I see no reason why Messi deserves it atm. Maybe if he wins with Argentina and not choking in the final again he might deserve it. But seeing as they barely managed to qualify I wouldn’t count on them going far.
2018-03-20 21:52
Messi is the most decisive player in the World atm. CR just scores goals and has good positioning thats it. In my opinion he is not even top 7 atm. Golas mean nothing when you just knock em in to the goal from 10 meters. Messi is all over the field, has the most assists and almost the most succesful dribbles. He does it all and carries Barca on his shoulders beating the Premier League Champions (4-1) Serie A champions (3-0) and Real Madrid (3-0 on Berbnabeu, where i was present in the crowd). He is by far the best player to ever play football professionally, and the clear favourite in the fight for Ballon D'or 2018
2018-03-20 21:59
If this was truly the case, then he would have won it more than once in the last 5 years.
2018-03-20 22:03
He only won one because the system favours the Winner of the UCL wich was Real thats why Ronaldo won it, altough there were players on Real that deserved it more. I belive that 2017 is the last year that Ronaldo will win a Ballon, being very close to the end of his succesful career
2018-03-20 22:09
okay u r fully biased,no point of making arguments with you .
2018-03-20 22:14
If you have a strong point on why my opinion is wrong I will 100% consider it
2018-03-20 22:16
Messi is by far the better player out of the two.
2018-03-20 22:21
Whenever someone says “Messi/Ronaldo is by far the better player of the two” then you know they are very biased fans. Any person with a clue knows that they are both great players and it’s not random or luck that they score 40+ goals every season.

If the system favours winners of the UCL, why did Messi win in 2010? and Sneijder was nowhere in the top 3?
2018-03-20 22:27
The system really favours no one. It's just a simple vote. The people who vote historically votes for the person who won the big tournaments that year (atleast that's the case for Messi vs Ronaldo), but they most likely couldn't get themselves to vote for Sneijder over Messi.
2018-03-21 15:08
Exactly... It's captains, coaches and journalists... None of the above are voting anyone other than Messi/Ronaldo in their era regardless of who wins what.
2018-03-21 22:13
Why are Messi fans so obsessed with dribbles? Must be the most worthless stat to measure a player by. Chelsea is struggling this year. Messi has 2 assist in CL, yeah he is great at producing points vs bottom half of La Liga. But when it comes to the big games he goes missing quite often. His CL record shows this clearly as well, basically top scorer in group stage, but far behind CR in play offs.
2018-03-20 22:18
Do you even watch Barca matches? Especially the ones against Chelsea Juventus and Atletico? He carried the team on his shoulders. He dosent do unnecessary dribbles like many other players. He does it when he is in a pinch and succeds almost everytime, there are few players that can take a ball away from him during a match ( I cant call myself a 100% Messi fan but I appreciate greatness)
2018-03-20 22:24

Strange how many of the legendary coaches, players etc through the history of time have said that Messi is the best player they've ever seen. Latest by Conte after the Chelsea game. How many of those have Ronaldo gotten through his career, besides from his faggot Madrid and United fans?
2018-03-20 22:28
“Faggot Madrid” hi Barcelona fan, very unbiased in this discussion.

Portugese people, United fans, Real Madrid fans and fans of team who got destroyed by Messi. Those are the ones hating on Messi.

Well in Laliga Cr7 only scored a shit ton of goals against low table opponents
2018-03-20 22:11
Do you have any statistics on that or is it just your opinion? He is heavily out scoring Messi in CL playoffs and that is the most competitive tournament in the world.
2018-03-20 23:20
CR playoffs: 2 matches Nice
2018-03-21 15:17
? Of course I’m talking about all time scoring in CL not just this season.
2018-03-21 15:47
Dont say is scoring, rn, just say outscores.
2018-03-21 15:47
ofc because Barcelona doesn't need Messi in a scoring position, nowadays he plays more of a setup player for Suarez, the graveyard of good chances
2018-03-21 16:23
All time top scorer of Champions league: Cristiano
2018-03-21 15:02
Ballon d'or is only about goals? Individually Messi outshines Ronaldo. If this years ballon d'or goes to Ronaldo it will officially be known as a clown trophy with no meaning what so ever.

2018-03-20 22:49
That's 4 players. Germany had 11 world class players who mostly consisted of starting Bayern Munich players. Argentina had some River Plate players on their team. Which one was the better team on paper? And dont fucking bring up Euro 2016 where Portugal got the easiest opponents ever, and by the way, Ronaldo was benched the whole final and everyone acts like he did everything. Lmao please.

Strawman - The post. It's useless, we won't come to terms and we will only waste our times by calling names. Better to leave it be and let CL and WC be the deciding factor.

Thanks for agreeing with me and finally understand my point. Lovely talk.
2018-03-20 22:53
Injured and benched is not the same thing. It’s really amazing how much you hate CR, why can’t you accept that they are both great players? So typical of Messi fans to get angry and result in namecalling when other disagree with their opinions.
2018-03-20 23:13
I think he's a great goal scorer, maybe the best. But not the best overall player. =)
2018-03-21 15:28
dybala in 2014? He's only a member of their national team since 2015 lul
2018-03-21 16:25
messi scored 1 goal in playoffs and u say he carried his team to the finals LUL also messi choked hard against a good defense and if u start with this carry to the finals shit look at ronaldo in the european football championship 2k16 where he carried his team to win the title
2018-03-21 16:27
Ronaldo carried his team to win the title? Wow, delusional faggot, go watch the games and see how invisible Ronaldo was in his games. Fucking retarded, what a comment.
2018-03-22 20:52
3 goals 3 assists 2cd best scorer = invisible and u call me delusional go watch some messi games in playoffs of the world cup 2014 copa or the qualification for next world cup and then take your arguments and apply them to messi
2018-03-22 21:08
90% of the ball touches Messi makes/dribbles/creativity amazes me. Ronaldo never have, never will.
2018-03-22 21:10
true but unfortunately u cant messure a footballer by his dribblings even tho those skills are the most impressive
2018-03-22 21:34
The season is not over, a lot can happen. CL is only in quarter finals atm, anything can happen
2018-03-21 15:04
Lmao, Messi have won the league in DECEMBER with Barcelona. Ronaldo starts statpadding when it doesnt even matter, real cant win the league, his goals are useless. Why couldnt he do this when Real needed him the most? Messi has been crucial in big games this season, Ronaldo has not vs Atletico, Barca.
2018-03-20 22:36
LeviAckerman, är det inte du som kommenterat skit på fotbollskanalen och hatat på Messi? Eller är det du som hatat på Ronaldo? Hyckleri i så fall för jag kmr ihåg ditt namn för att du hatade på Messi. Intressant.

2018-03-20 22:54

2018-03-20 22:54
I found it interesting cuz on a Swedish forum a guy with your exact nickname made a comment hating on Messi, and here you are hating on Ronaldo. So I asked if u were the same person, and u werent even Swedish, so forget it. Also ye, Messi > Ronaldo anyday.
2018-03-20 22:56
This name is from anime, a pretty famous anime person and i don't hate Ronaldo, i think he is really good but I was just confused to that persons comment about Messi. Messi has done much more than Ronaldo this season because he have already won the league with Barcelona. But we will see at the end of the season.
2018-03-20 22:57
Yes, the 5 match ban really screwed Real this season. By that logic, why didn’t Messi help Barcelona last season at all?
2018-03-20 23:18
I'm not talking about the 5 match ban, i'm talking about when he played and Real lost many points and he didn't do anything. Why talk about past seasons when we are discussing this one? Ronaldo won last year the Ballon Dor so whats ur point here exactly? Messi couldn't win big titles with Barcelona and he didnt won so what are u trying here? lol. Talk about changing subject, irrelevant subject aswell..
2018-03-20 23:26
I ment it screwed up Reals start of the season, they destroyed Barcelona in the super cup but that suspension killed all momentum and CRs form. You are aware that Ballon D’Or is awarded on calander year basis, not seasonal right? Meaning that Messis great performance this fall as well as CRs weak one is not effecting this years price. So want to open up the “who talks about irrelevant topics” again?
2018-03-21 01:29
Theoretically it shouldn't. But in all practicality it does. Ronaldo still won the Ballon D'or 2017 despite being useless in the fall of that year. The Ballon D'or race is pretty much already decided at the end of the season in spring (summer this year because of the world cup).
2018-03-21 15:18
C Ronaldo has less time in game, messi 98mins/goal and ronaldo 92mins/goal
2018-03-21 15:22
If Ronaldo wins Champions League and the La Liga most goals he will win 100% Messi and Ronaldo both GOATS <3
2018-03-20 21:57

2018-03-20 22:38

The level of competition in England is way higher than in Spain. In Spain, the title is pretty much decided by 2 matches - Real vs Barca and Barca vs Real. All the other matches are just a goalscoring contest to see who gets the Ballon d'Or. In England, every match is a battle, even against teams at the bottom of the table. This gives the Spanish teams a massive advantage in the Champions League because the Spanish teams are not burnt out by an exhausting season the way English teams are.
2018-03-20 21:54
This is so, because in England the "big" teams do not have a level as high as Real Madrid or Barcelona
2018-03-20 21:58
la liga where even a player like gareth bale can thrive xD
2018-03-20 22:30
BPL where Firmino, Lukaku, Aguero etc thrive xDD Suárez in Liverpool "OMG great player, skillful, finisher, technique etc etc etc" Suárez in Barcelona "Wow Suárez seems to be so bad technically playing with Messi, Iniesta and Neymar" xDDD
2018-03-21 22:45
Yes, city is really struggling! The difference is that Real and Barcelona has been so very ahead that they would dominate EPL just as hard if they played in it. Now finally city is in a similar level and we see how easy they destroy EPL.

And I doubt Real and Barca would destroy EPL, i think they would struggle to win it (sometimes they would) and based on real's form this year in la liga they would not make it top4. English football is way more demanding, physically and mentally (stoke D: ). Plus for the longest time ever it has 2 cups + a league which means a shittons of games, for example during december when there's a game pretty much every 2nd day. And then forget they never ever had a winter break....
2018-03-20 22:16
2 cups just means play time for the backups, no one plays the main squad. I give you that a lot of games can be tiresome, but that is just stupid decision from the league, main reason to make more money. Neither of those reasons are proof that the teams are better in general, just stupid management. I like how you don’t think using city’s season is ok since it’s a one off, but using reals worst season in a long time to support your theory is fine?
2018-03-20 22:45
Yeah you're right about using real's 1 bad season was a mistake, but i still think both barca and real would struggle lots of times to make it to automatic CL qualifiers. And the other clubs (minus atletico) would not even get close to europe. Agreed the english FA is only in it for the money and it's a shitty ass assosiation, but it's what we have to deal with :(
2018-03-21 14:53
EPL was easy as fuck for Ronaldo, same conclusion can be drawn here, that their skill level (talking about Messi and Ronaldo) is so far ahead of any other players it doesn't matter which league they play in really they will always be the best. This logic like if Messi or Ronaldo was playing in the EPL today they couldn't dominate is fucking retarded, the EPL is competitive because there are so many shit teams at the same level, BBVA is not competitive because there is 2 clear juggernaut teams in the league that have the 2 best players of all time playing for them.

Ronaldo only scored 1 hat trick in EPL despite playing there for 3 years. The EPL record is 11 hat tricks which took Alan Shearer almost 20 years to collect. Ronaldo currently has 34 hat tricks in La Liga. ... He's smurfing.
2018-03-20 21:59
He won 3 league titles and baloon d'or while playing in the EPL, BEFORE HIS PRIME. Since then he's won Champions League titles, BBVA titles, World Cup, finals at a Euro? (can't remember), highest goal scorer in Champion's League history both by total and most scored in one tournament, won numerous play of the year and balloon d'or awards etc....

I agree that he was great in the EPL which is why I consider him a better player than Messi. But you only have to look at his goalscoring stats in both leagues to see how ridiculously easy La Liga is for him in comparison. Again, the record for hat tricks in EPL is only 11 which took Shearer two decades to get. Ronaldo already has 34 in La Liga in under a decade. No player in the history of football could ever score that many hat tricks in EPL even if they played there for 30 years.
2018-03-20 22:07
Who tf cares about hat tricks? They scored enough goals and lead their teams to success nothing else matters. I'm not comparing them, Messi and Ronaldo are the best players in the world, their both the best at what they do, very different players, both very successful nothing more to take about.
2018-03-21 00:31
So elite they can’t perform in CL or EL. Hmmm

As I said above, a more demanding league season makes it much harder to focus on the CL. English teams have to worry about injuries and severe exhaustion going into the CL. And if they give too much attention to it, they'll end up being relegated from the EPL. The only thing a team like Real Madrid has to worry about going into the CL is whether Ronaldo is bored because he only managed to score 4 goals instead of 6 against some trashy La Liga team the week before.
2018-03-20 22:04
You're deluded if you don't think the top 4 PL teams don't have the CL as a primary focus.

They genuinely don't. It's an English football mentality that most people won't understand unless they actually live in England. If you ask almost any EPL team, player or fan whether they would prefer to win the EPL or the CL, they will always say the PL. Even if they won the EPL two seasons in a row, most fans would prefer to win it again and again and eventually beat Man Utd's record than win the CL.
2018-03-20 22:10
I lived in England for 7 years. The fans are irrelevant. No manager is playing squad players in a CL team to rest them for a PL game unless it's 6th game of the group stage and they're already guaranteed top. In the KO stages of CL, they rest their players during the PL games for it. At the start of the season, when you submit your 20 man squad or whatever for CL, it's the best of your squad. The truth of the matter is, if an English team draws Barca, Real, Madrid, Juve, PSG, they have virtually zero chance of winning unless they are City. That's the reason the last 5 CL semis look that way, not because they're "not trying as hard".

Of course they submit their best squads. They still want to try and win it... just not as much as winning the EPL. Barca, Real, Juve, PSG... all these teams play in non-competitive domestic leagues. They play 2-4 difficult league matches a season max and the rest of the time they can devote to preparing for CL. By the way, read this: skysports.com/football/news/11668/101576.. Mourinho has managed in Spain and Italy and even he says those leagues are too easy compared to England. "I always say that I need competition and I need competition every week and in Spain, I was at an amazing club but I had four matches a year: Barcelona v Real Madrid, Real Madrid v Barcelona and after that we'd win 4-0, 5-0, 4-1, 6-1." Joke league.
2018-03-20 22:38
"Non-competitive domestic leagues" The bottom half of each of those leagues other than Ligue 1 would give almost any top half EPL team trouble. And your argument fails when Madrid are scraping top 3 this year anyway. "after that we'd win 4-0, 5-0, 4-1, 6-1." That's testament to how good Barca and Real are, not how bad the league is. Barca and Real would beat the top 4 prem teams 4-0 on a good day too. If you put Barca and Real in the EPL, their only competition would be themselves, and maybe Man City. Man City are 16 points ahead of second, you think they care about the rest of the shitters in their league? Or does that make EPL a one team league by your logic? The only thing which makes the EPL "hard" is the winter schedule. The teams are atrocious.

You're making stupid assumptions based on CL / Europa League results. Just because a team like Sevilla can beat a team like Tottenham in a cup match when Tottenham are exhausted from trying desperately to win the league doesn't mean that they would be able to get a higher placing than Tottenham in the EPL if they joined. The fact is, if Sevilla joined the EPL they would most likely be in a relegation battle during their first season and would probably have to work hard for 4-5 seasons in a row crawling up the table to even dream of qualifying for the Europa League. They wouldn't have the financial power of most of the EPL clubs, so my money would be on them being relegated. As for Barca and Real... if they joined the EPL I would expect one of them to win it during the first 2-3 seaons after a settling in period. There's no denying that on paper they have stronger squads than any EPL team at the moment. But it would be a lot harder for them than winning La Liga, and Messi/Ronaldo wouldn't have the same ridiculous goalscoring stats that they have now. Also, there are a lot of big spenders in the EPL who would do everything in their power to level the playing field if either Spanish team started to show signs of dominance.
2018-03-21 00:03
When did I mention Sevilla or Tottenham or assumed anything on the basis of a CL match? Do bottom half of the table teams play CL? No... they don't.... So I don't know where you pulled that from. If they were in the EPL, obviously they would have the financial power of an EPL club because the majority of it comes from TV deals. So that's a pretty stupid statement. Not even sure what you're trying to say in your last paragraph. Yea there are big spenders in the EPL who are *currently* doing everything in their power to level the playing field after La Liga showing 5 years of European dominance. Nothing's changing. You're conveniently forgetting the fact that Madrid and Barca are even bigger spenders than they are and have more allure when it comes to attracting big targets. If some new superstar came out to rival Messi/Ronaldo, and there was a bidding war between EPL teams, Madrid, and Barca, the EPL teams would lose 95 times out of 100.
2018-03-21 03:49
HAHA Ronaldo proved himself in another league, what a classic braindead comment. Ye I guess all those goals vs english clubs by Messi wasnt enough to prove himself. He HAS to prove himself against Stoke or Brighton before people can say he has proven himself in another league. XDD

Messi is beside Maradonna and Pelé (maybe even above them both) as the best player that ever touch football. No one tells it about CR7, that is a great goal scorer, as Messi is an scorer, dribbler, assistant, and Barcelona carrier. If CR7 retires or leaves Real, Zidane can find another goal scorer... But if Messi does it, then Barça will never find another carrier like him.

Ronaldo is catching up Messi in La Liga goals (he already has a better goal per game ratio in La Liga) and dominating in UCL goals + Real will win UCL and Portugal>Argentina in World Cup
2018-03-21 16:30
The problem is that there aren't other useful statistics known in football like the secondary assist. Messi just sets up more plays than CR. Messi is overall a more versatile team player, whereas CR is more of a pure striker. Messi > CR
