Ryzen 2700x officialy as good as i7 8700 (CS:GO)

Brazil metal_is_the_law
Take a look at the ULLETICAL BENCHMARK of both processors.. ryzen 2700x (330 fps avg) (100 min) - youtu.be/zxhycQQ91mA?t=174 (put on 2:54) i7 8700 (354 fps avg) (365 max) (52 min) - youtube.com/watch?v=dBTcJtQdVW0 Both low settings Despite of 8700 getting higher average FPS, the ryzen had a fair superior minimum FPS, so, it's much more stable to FPS drops.. Needless to say it's better than the 8400 (aka 'gaming king'). I'm buying the 2nd gen RYZEN.
2018-04-14 20:50
so you are posting this hoping other users will agree to to buy the ryzen I'll buy Intel ezpz
2018-04-14 20:51
It's because i love the high fps on 8th gen intel.. But i love the 16 threads on RYZEN 7 1st and 2nd gen.. 2700x is the union of both worlds.. Good for gaming and unmatched in Multi-thread performance. I'm finally buying a RYZEN with no regrets. ( i was kinda afraid of regretting on buying the first gen ryzen).
2018-04-14 21:00
I have the 1600 and still have 280 fps in average on inferno so....
2018-04-14 23:06
Good to know.. I have a i3 4330 right now.. with a gtx 1050. I have 170-250 fps on CSGO 1080p low, but i only need 100 to play smoothly.. My real problem is Battlefield 1. When i'm playing in an empty server i get 100 fps (1080p low settings), when 64 players join the server, i get 50 fps dropping to 32 on heavy action and making it annoying to play, it's because the processor goes to 100% usage at those moments. I've seen ryzen 1600 on 64 players server with 50-60% usage. Very good. It would totally solve my problem.. But for a little more i can get the 8/16 threads instead of 6/12. I'll try the 'jump' to ryzen 7 1700 or 2700.

Ping ain't related to your hardware, it is related to your Internet Connection

Probably has a satellite connection if "IwriteRandomCountriesOnThreads" actually gets 1500 ping (also being Australian might have something to do with that connection).

using 1600 with 1060. stable 200-280 fps. pubg 90-110 high rendering video- the best
2018-04-14 21:10
What? Its all I ever used. Built tons of systems. All AMD. Never an issue
2018-04-17 03:21
It's stupid to choose some brand no matter what instead of choosing what better suits your tasks. I have my own PC since 1998 and I always used both Intel and AMD: Intel Pentium -> Intel Pentium II -> AMD Athlon -> AMD Athlon XP -> AMD Athlon64 -> Intel Core2Duo -> Intel Core2Quad -> Intel Core i7 And even though I used only Intel for last 10 years or so, my next PC will have Ryzen CPU. I'm glad AMD finally has decent CPUs again.

2018-04-17 03:21
Not at all. Ive had every iphone since the 3. Best phone on the market. Intels performance and quality does not outweigh its cost. Where an iphone performance and quality do outweigh the cost Regardless, its all subjective.

RYZEN is the best, imo the Ryzen 5 2400G/Ryzen 5 2600 are the best for CS

If you havent already go to your BIOS and change the iGPU memor from 512 to 2048, and overclock the RAM if you can.

Do NOT change the amount of ram alocated for graphics! Leave it on default! Just overclock your RAM to the max you can get out of it.
2018-04-17 09:13
Are you retarded?? Everyone says change from 512 to 2048, 512 in 2018 is not wnough even for minecraft
2018-04-17 09:58
Again, go search the web... Get some actual information on the subject, go watch some reviews! Im not even going to explaind to you why you shouldnt touch the RAM alocation size because you just insult people for no reason...
2018-04-17 11:20
Bruh, have you watched Jayz2Cents or LinusTechTips videos? They all say that you should up it to 2gb if you have enough memory and that 512 is there just so the system can boot
2018-04-17 23:13
are u confirming urself ? i7 8700k is cheaper than this why would anyone choose that
2018-04-14 22:49
ryzen 2700x has 15% better overall performance in multi-threaded video editing.. The games will be adjusted to multi-threading and soon the old/previous ryzen processors would be even faster than the 8700k in new games.
2018-04-14 23:01
Don't hate intel just because Amd is getting better, the 8700k is still good but overpriced af like all the intel cpu.

it isn't really overpriced if people gladly pay it
2018-04-17 03:29
People are dumb, especially those who buy high end hardware. It's a known fact. (same thing happen in the car industry if you look closely)
2018-04-17 12:48
If the 8700k is overpriced, the the 2700x also is. The Intel still has better performance in some appliances and application support is superior (Quick sync).
2018-07-05 15:23
Yeah because intel didnt change anything major in their architecture for years and ryzen is new architecture compared to intel 1151
2018-07-05 15:30
Very true. Knowing the reason still doesn't change practical use tho.
2018-07-05 15:50
everyone always says that about amd cpus.... 7 years later games still only use 4 cores

well yes everyone reasonable knows this, but this is an AMD fanboy thread for them to band together and feel good about their inferior technology....so...yeah....we aren't going to get far...
2018-04-17 03:30
it's just funny, same shit with the old fx series which had like half the performance of i7s in gaming, "oh but when games are optimised for more cores, we'll be better!!!"
2018-04-17 09:51
If games really utilize 4 cores you should have at least 6 cores. There is enough other shit running in the background. GL running a 4-core optimized game and a twitch stream at the same time.
2018-07-05 15:24
Thing is just now with dx12, vulkan etc, its alot more realistic to make games that uses more cores compared to dx9 which most games ran on 7 years ago and even today lots of games are still on dx9. dx12 can do 600k draw calls, dx9 around 6000.

<400 FPS on the FPS map is low af,

hardcore pros play 800x600 black bars with lowest settings
2018-04-17 03:23
So with this ryzen they would probably get 450+ fps.
2018-04-17 03:26
that's low af too, 8700 should get 450+ on 1920 everything low
2018-04-17 09:50
Great, probably you can overclock it above 4ghz, and optimize cs even more. This reviewer plebs dont usually know how to optimize cs+ windows for CS. Im using ryzen 5 1500x, got it for 150$ and im more than happy with 300 stable fps and its so damn smooth, cant explain it. Gonan upgrade to new ryzen next year with 7nm ryzen :) Wp AMD for bringing in real value and forcing intel to change and compete

2018-07-05 17:20

amd aka " infinite threads cuz our architecture sucks compared to intel"
2018-04-16 16:56
The gpu is not mentioned in the ryzen 2700x benchmark and the i7 8700k benchmark uses just a 1060. The dude who did the ryzen benchmark has another video up comparing the 2700x to the 8700k. The i7 8700k has 594 fps versus 442 fps for 2700x. (csgo, lowest settings) Intel is the clear winner here . But if you take streaming into account or run a lot of background processes while gaming, the fps gap should decrease.

you don't know if the tests ran at 128 tick or 64 tick. that's a very important information to have. 128 tick is way less fps than 64 tick ofc.

lul look at csgo patreon.com/posts/ryzen-7-2700x-vs-19852.. 800+fps average (min 215) @720p high settings ryzen 2700x 550 average min 175 Intel is what you should always get if csgo is the game you play the most I agree that ryzen is better for video rendering streaming and all that But lmao, it looks like most ryzen fanboys are all wannabee streamers And no shit the 2700x is better than the i5 8400, you are comparing a 300€ cpu with a 160€ cpu Most people praise the i5 8400 for its value, no one said it's better than a 2700x Plus I don't know how he gets 330 avg fps with a 8700k when I get 290-300fps avg with my 8400, something's off
2018-07-05 15:09
fps difference is like 5% and for that intel lovers try to say ryzen is trash lulz.
2018-07-05 15:11
Nobody says that Ryzen is trash. It is useless to buy a CPU with worse application support, without QuickSync and that performs worse in games when you only use it to play and don't do multi-threading heavy stuff.

csgo = game using 4cores at best. i5-8400 isn't that good for cs if you think of it. i3-8350k / i7-7700k / i7-8700k are the best atm. (i3-8350k = 4x4GHz, i7-7700k = 4x4,2GHz, i7-8700k = 6x 3,7GHz.
