as a beatmaker his selection of beats is dope, but he should stop with this false prophet bullshit, he discussing threads that are not revolutionary in no way: drinking and hating yourself, doing drugs, cocaine, money and trying to live righeous. It's overused. J Cole's main problem is that majority of people who listen to him have a (not to hurt anyone's feeling) "stupid person's idea of the clever person" pretty much. He's talkin about obvious things.
I like 'photograph' and 'the cut off'
He had a good diss in 1985
Hot trash, 3/10. So boring it feels like a joke.
It was aight, kinda boring imo.
i waited 2 years for a new album and i like maybe one song from kod...
4 your eyez only was a 10/10 for me and this maybe idk 6/10?
Not J. Cole's best album, but honestly he has some good songs like 'Kevin's Heart' or '1985'.
And also I like 'ATM' (music video in particular).
Here he just makes fun of current rappers.
j cole said many times he dont care if u like his albums. he uses his songs to put out his emotions and feelings like a therapy if u like it good if u dont like it ok he dont give a shit. hes like the most humble motherfucker in the game.
Best recent album "Blabbermouf - Da Flowin Dutchman" thank me later
It is just a better produced, better lyric XXXTENTACTION album
he just takes a topic and makes it dramatic and cries about something a little bit
I really liked it, I wasn't the biggest J. Cole fan before, only heard 4 your eyes only and the bangers from 2014 forest hills drive. This album was something different. The beats were still simple, nothing special, but the lyrics and his flows were something else. My favorites were KOD and probably 1985.
