Well most people that die pass away from natural causes, not in a tragic incident where a terrorist is running people over with a van. And also, roughly two people die every second, so unless you're an extremely slow typist your numbers are a bit high.

Why post very depressing, serious news like this on HLTV... A lighthearted gaming forum with off-topic, miscellaneous subjects?

Maybe you are, but I don't watch the news whatsoever. Having such disturbing realities spread on a lighthearted gaming forum is not what I browse HLTV for. Sure, it's not breaking any rules and it's purely my own opinion; hence the question as why to post such horrific stuff on a gaming forum.

Graveyard shift :o what is that? Night work at a graveyard? Hahaha <3 Thanks! I guess reason sleep isn’t coming is because of too much recistance, so I’ll guess I’m just gonna surrender here on hltv and wait for that melatonin to be produced

Ah-- my apologies. It's a term used generally to describe late-night work... Usually the accounted time for the metaphor to make sense is 23:00-05:00; i.e. "working the graveyard shift..." I have a schedule to maintain and uphold, and some nights I'll work throughout the night with late-night moderation of sites, coding, spread-sheeting and general paperwork. Boring fluff-stuff. :D Also I've learnt from experience that HLTV is the opposite of providing sleep-induced chemicals. :D

Hahahaha you’re too formal for me XD yeah I was like wtf this dude going to a graveyard in a moment in the middle of the night :D Oh sounds cool. So that’s what you doing now? All that kinds of work? I wish I could be up at night and work, I think this is when I shine. But nah I’m forced up 7 am ty school for making me go there and sit for 8 hours and do nothing since I’m too tired to then get home and sleep to repeat lmao Hahaha yeah shit it’s not working lol, and the relaxing music on my laptop ain’t either. Guess I’ll go for a walk down stairs and release some anxiety

Well I turned 25 five days ago, so school is in the past for me. :P I do not envy your life currently given I didn't really take a liking to school, but college was the highlight of my youth - if you could call it that. Currently I'm working on various sites, making sure they work, keeping them up-to-date, creating preset Terms and Conditions for them and in the background I have spreadsheets downloaded to be saved to a hard-drive, to be sent to my apartment, to then be printed out in paper and sent to the companies who need them. Being self-employed can be beneficial, but there is still work and a schedule to uphold, many people forget this and see self-employment as a lazy, belaboured occupation; which is a fair assumption, all things considered. Best thing to do is drink some water or lukewarm milk, play some music or read to relax your brain, lie down in the dark (nightlight on or off - your choice) and simply drift off... Let yourself and your body get fatigued to the point of sleep.

Ah, sweet :D Yeah not really so much fun atm, hopefully university/college will be more fun :) Yeah sounds cool man :D so that gonna be your career in the future as well? Keep it up! Always cool to hear what people do considering I have 0 clue of what I wanna do with my life lol Yeah rofl last night. Thanks for the tips, gonna see if I'll succeed this night. I ended grabbing a night sandwich and then continued broswing stuff lol, fell asleep like 3 am and got up 8 so that wasn't all to nice. Oh well, better luck this time! I guess endlessly scrolling on social media and hltv isn't the way to drift off

First of all, you are way off track in your post. Second of all, that is not the point of my post. I avoid the news for very personal reasons of my own and that is because anything involving death really gets to me. Strangers or not, my empathetic martyrdom cranks right up to 11. So before you make such abrupt assumptions, know I care more than most people on this website and the fact I'm against such disturbing news being posted is the reason for my aforementioned post, not because I'm in disagreement to the unfortunate happenstances happening in Canada. I apologise for your losses and you have my condolences, whatever they're worth... Have a good day.

>HLTV - a lighthearted gaming forum is it though? I don't really think so. politics, hate, anti-muslim and anti-immigrant threads popping up every day - it's no longer a gaming forum and it's been like that for a looong time

Rule-breakers do not change the ethos and core of HLTV. It IS a gaming forum and always will be, whether off-topic subjects subjugate to that standard or not.
