anyone got any, i kinda wanna do some tests and see if anything helps with consistency. Some days I play very well, some days i play bad - and when i play bad it always feels off, like something isn't the same (like my seat is too high or my monitor is too close/far away) when i start playing in the morning for example, i never have a good day of cs. im going to start playing csgo only after i have been awake for 2 hours, fully energised and conscious after drinking a coffee (which i dont drink btw) also ill take any other suggestions.

the thing is when i drink coffee i dont even feel energised, its annoying because some people claim they cant live without it. I guess ill stick to potatoes tbh
2018-04-26 16:23
It can be more a case of the fact their bodies are dependent on it than anything. Take it away and they feel shit, have it and they feel it gives them a 'boost' but really it's mostly just returning them to a normal level since their bodies are used to it. If you have it very rarely it can give you a boost but it's not worth it. Best not to start. I'm talking from experience btw, I don't plan on giving up coffee but I'm currently working on giving up nicotine.

I guess it's like injecting testosterone into your body, your testicles get smaller because they need to produce less testosterone naturally.

weed?
2018-04-26 16:30
nicotine increases reaction time
2018-04-26 17:00
weed takes a bit from your reaction but it gives u alot of fun and therefore motivation. I usually play better after smoking weed, bc after 10 years of CS i get a bit bored and dont focus so much without it

hard to picture me being focused after smoking weed, though if it makes you happier and you're setting off good vibes to your team i do see it being helpful
2018-04-26 16:30
Used to smoke weed. Impossible to play in my case. But there was one time where I started smoking and then just had to keep smoking or I wouldn't frag as well. Smoked and played for like 14h straight til 10am. But other than that I'd play worse. Imo don't drink coffee or smoke or anything at all. Always clean for higher consistency.

yeah this is why i thought about maybe eating potatoes (i know it sounds retarded) 2 hours before playing, natural energy, complex carbs. Coffee is okay just to wake you up i guess but it doesnt do much else.

Are you the hulk or something? Anyway you know what I mean, there's no "tricks" that work on the long run. Just keep yourself balanced and practice practice practice. It's as simple as that and easier said than done.

yes i take steroids but yeah, recently i have been practising and i felt like i was getting better but then i just ran into some bullshit where i started playing really badly. but yeah, just practice.
2018-04-26 16:58
Just try to keep your mind clear. A bad day sometimes it's just coz u had a bad timing and and the enemy got lucky with stupid shots 3 rounds in a row and you start to tilt/lose confidence. Try to understand why you have this bad day and work on it. If youre just missing ur shots then yeah, ure not good enough yet to be consistent so just practice with a good mindset to hone ur potential

but no, its not bait potatoes are a high energy food that will keep you energised throughout the day, os if you wake up at about 9-10 and have some potatoes and then play csgo at 1-2 you should feel awake , not fatigued etc etc logically speaking

yeah but you can find community servers which allow you to change gloves and knives, i defo do see skins as a placebo in csgo
2018-04-26 16:27
In my case, skins work the other way around. If i do have skins, it kinda seem like i HAVE to play better, and if i dont play good, then i get depressed. with no skins, i have nothing to lose. But i own kinfe and gloves idgaf they are sick winning or losing

Always when I'll play a competitive match, first I join a casual match to see "how is my day"... If I play well the casual match, then I enter a competitive room, if not, I continue on casual room. I also thought like you, I tried to have coffee before the matches, play early, play later, play after giving me a "relaxed treatement" (if you understand me xD)... But none of this is constant, it always varies. So, the best thing to do is... Test "how is your day" in a casual room before joining a competitive.

but i suppose that will always vary depending on the people in casual, if you're lucky enough to stumble on some noobs then can you really call it a good day? i usually play death match, casual just hurts me honestly - seeing some of the people that play it.

When I say play well, I don't say your team, but yourself. I know how it is in casual, and I agree that sometimes I think a thousand times before getting in there because of some kids I see over there. But you have to think like that, however bad your team is in the casual, even if you have lost, if you are the best on your team, it means that you are playing well. If you have lost the casual match, it was because of your team, not because of you. ;)

I actually wanted to change my saturation today but i couldnt find the option. Also wanted to try out a dynamic crosshair to see what its like, maybe improve my spraying - viewmodel aswell, but idk how any of that shit works and it literally gets reset when i turn my game off.
2018-04-26 16:36
Adjust the viewmodel preset value to "4" and it wont change back when you restart game

ill have to do some in depth research, i will calibrate the viewmodel. thank you,.
2018-04-26 16:54
bro, change your viewmodel (fov commands) and your crosshair and then type host_writeconfig in console to save it. Then you can change your resolution or maybe try blackbars for digital vibrance/saturation etc. you need to go in Nvidia ControlPanel Settings > Adjust Image

I really enjoy playing the game competitively, its pretty much the only thing i enjoy about csgo - i would like to reach the highest ranks in faceit and esea just for the fun of it. Id consider myself a good player, defo capable but some days i am a bot and I just want to try to find anything that would help me avoid 'those days'. but yeah, everyone has their off days, just not simple ;)
2018-04-26 17:03
> i would like to reach the highest ranks in faceit and esea Without proper teammates you won't do it anyway. Proper teammates wouldn't trashtalk you for being a bot, if it's an off day for you - play more passive, play differently, outsmart your opponents to get them when they don't see you. But if it takes so much from you, if you must drink coffee or energy drinks to get better - remember that it's only a game and caffeine fucks up your health, if you wanna live more than 35-40 years you will be fucked up in the end, so don't sacrifice your health for the useless sake of that stupid game.

I am making progress on finding teammates, i often ask people that top frag or second top frag if they want to queue - and honestly speaking i think ive drank coffee less than 10 times in my life, theres nothing about it that I like. A passive playstyle is defo good but it really gets to you when you've been passive for 4 rounds straight and they come onto the site and 1 tap you and you end up having 0 effect on the round, some games just dont go your way i suppose.
2018-04-26 17:13

i am indeed, i hate the morning - fucking despise it, the lighting the mood, everything about it but when i wake up at like 2 am its just boring so i start playing at 4ish. Logical thing to do is to just fix the pattern and actually play during the day like a normal person.
2018-04-26 17:05
No, I tried that and I found myself waking up at 8-9 a.m. spending my whole day doing nothing until late night.

yeah that often happens to me aswell, no games to play, nothing to watch... feels like a waste of time to wake up early but its not good for the mind to always be up at 2-5am. Should fix it today, its already 4pm and im not sleeping.
2018-04-26 17:08
I thought the same but when you logically look at it - you can't cope with all the things to be 100% healthy. Successful humans come to mind, do you think they always ate healthy, never drank alcohol, always went to bed on time and never stayed up all night.

yeah of course you can't be 100% healthy, just focus on the majors like decent diet, decent sleep and having people around you to socialise with. Healthiness and success probably have little to do with each other regardless.

Placebo effect: New monitor New keyboard New crosshair New resolution 300 FPS instead of 200 Lucky clothing Things that actually offer real benefits: New mouse (if old one is terrible) 100 FPS instead of 30 Not eating before playing Not drinking caffeine The last one is controversial considering how much energy drink companies are trying to market their products for gamers, but I really believe that they'll either make no difference at all or actually make you play worse if you're sensitive to caffeine. I've tested it a lot on myself and it definitely makes me play a lot worse.
2018-04-26 18:39
I always go to brutal's only hs AIM server atleast 100kills there than go to an execute, retake servers without this routine I always play like shit. Also I notice sometimes a lean too back and its actually affects aiming for me
