Rape is defined by violently forcing or using the victims inability to defend themselves to have intercourse. This wasn't the case here.
Then again I do understand the victims lawyers argument stating that children should always consider as unable to defend themselves.

in Brazil is 12 years if a victim is younger than 18 and I think its little.
here in BR if you do sex with someone younger than 14 or 12(I dont remember), its rape, even if he dont forced her. And I think its a right thing cuz a kid 12yo dont know exactly what sex means or is not fully aware of the consequences of a pregnancy or an STD for example.

in finland we use semi low sentences to prevent inmates from totally dropping out of the society. there are a lot social workers in prisons and guards are encouraged to do "social work" with inmates

that is good. in USA, you will get killed in prison if you did something to children. And rapists too sometimes, but usually they just get put in a pod with other rapists and they get to live, but the child rapers and molestors everyone wants to kill even rapers so they usually get killed or sometimes they just rape them back everyday to teach them a lesson
here they are separated in their own cellblock and we try to make every inmate happy with their cellblock so its more than just putting them somewhere
