I'm planning to start studying Political Science this October. Could you tell me in summary more about it ?Did you regret or w/e,subjects you hated/liked and what job opportunities do I get once I've got my degree. Thanks in advance.
2018-05-07 22:33
Are you fakeflagging? If not, I can tell you the job opportunities with a Political Science in Canada is pretty much useless. Any degree other than STEM degrees will have fewer opportunities and pays aren't good. What's your ultimate goal?

Depends on the country on whether this is worthwhile or not. This means jobless in USA, but you can start virtually any great job with a degree in philosophy in UK for example, as long as it was from a top university. Philosophy from Cambridge > engineering from a shitty uni in UK. don't be too quick to jump to conclusions. Don't know what it's like in Slovenia though.

idk how the teaching opportunities in the US but in Canada, it's so shit, especially where I'm living.
2018-05-08 04:01
it is also sort of bad here. teachers aren’t even paid close to what they should be in America. but i’m trying to follow that path regardless because that’s where my passion and my skill set lies. I’d much rather work with people than be doing research or some shit actuarial job in a cubicle.
2018-05-08 04:09
It's good that you know your strength and your passion but I would strongly suggest you should explore yourself even more because we wouldn't know the job market at the time you graduate. Maybe new jobs will be created? In teaching, short-term contracts are more often than actual full-time position, and you should also consider your back up career.

Depending on how much you make you can get government loans otherwise if your parents are smart with money they can help pay off most of college. It actually works great because if you can pay school off early (you get a good job, your parents can pay for it, etc.) then you never have to pay for it again. While in Europe you pay for it every year until you die it might be less a year but over time it adds up especially if you make more money. Someone who went to college to get a good degree making 150k€ would pay like ~8k€ a year in taxes for education while a retard with a gender studies degree living off welfare would pay nothing. It’s a shit system that screws over the people who are successful. Paying off YOUR debt is always better because YOU KNOW what you are paying for, while as paying for someone else’s is shit.

What are you, some special kind of retard? I cost money. Having me go through a danish university costs the gouvernment money. Does it cost me anything? Sure, I need to buy the books - I need to pay for transport, but that's it. The expenses I will have in the future are expences I would have had I not gone to a FREE university. How does your brain even function properly for you to live? Holy shit.

The course coordinator is ridiculously strict, his class average is always failing in the 35 - 50% range. So I tried to dodge him early on in the year and took the course in the summer, turns out the prof that was supposed to teach is now going to be the course coordinator. That's what I went in thinking. Had my first class today and the man seems hella nice and professional about it. He really takes his time in explaining and goes as far as to repeat important points. My guess for the failing class average is his tests and markings are probably strict af. I'm excited but also worried.

In germany you can get easy money from the state for enrolling in university (if your parents dont have a good income), then you can just chill with like minded people for up to 5 years i think. You also get free public transport in your state(including trains). And you won't even have to pay back anything to the state because you won't earn enough later be surpass that threshold. Just ez student life

dentist is easy money atleast in germany they can just farm money from privately insured people
2018-05-08 18:23
Easy money, less working hours were some of the reasons for being a dentist. You can open your own place after 10 years in hospital, after that you can employ young dentists in 5 years so you won't work much. But my favorite is having fun with kids by asking them questions after anesthetize them. e.g.: Me: So, how old are you? Kid: iAhEm NieNEİh (i'm 9)
2018-05-08 19:29

What about business, its not a waste if you go to a good uni
2018-05-08 18:24
what u wanna learn in business? if u start working after school with 15-16 u will probably have better knowledge and expertise than studying 4-6 years of business.

But you want get 2.8k per month for an intership or 80k per year for your first job that way. You dont learn a lot, but it shows your dedication if you get good grades.
2018-05-08 20:36
if i start straight working after school with dedication i will be further than when im done studying with 23-24 just saying. there is no way u will ever earn more money. u probably even have 2 promotions in the first 10 years if u do good. from my dad a work friend he was in prison came out and started his own business selling stuff to vape and now hes among the biggest in spain. its all about how much time and energy u put into it. this brainwashin with go to university and become what u want is so freaking wrong.
2018-05-08 22:47
most business men say it themselves, they learned most of their stuff from reading books and from early days of work. just read up some of the most successful business men in the world most of them don't even have a college degree.

Its very new for me , i was good on geography at school but the sector where I was had nothing to do ( technology, innovation, sustainable development but i was not interested à lot in the end). And it can be hard sometimes ,its 50/50 U have to be very involved to succeed in certain subject
2018-05-08 19:31
That's a scary part.. I like Geography probably the most out of all other lessons, but Geography has so many branches and majority of them are really hard to study I believe or not enough jobs after finishing Uni. I had so many friends that went to Uni and after few years just left... It's very exciting, but as well as scary at some point when you think about it.. nobody want to spend 3-4 years of life and afterwards have no advantage on salary, happiness or something else..

2018-05-08 18:45
You will be losing the best years of your life
2018-05-08 19:15
Well.. I have enough friends already to spend time with or could have sex just by clubbing or asking girls in a street for a sex kappa.. any other reasons why University is better to spend 3-4 years? 50/50 to get better paid job afterwards...
2018-05-08 19:39
depends on what you study. if it is something that people want and is a highly-valued degree you will have no problem finding a good job, in fact people will roll out red carpets for you. but if you just get a degree that virtually everyone has, of course there is no need. That's the thing you have to look out for.
2018-05-08 19:41
What's the right degree to have
2018-05-08 19:50
I am still in high-school, so I can only speak about what people have told me. Computer Science is good to have, people rely on computers more and more. Depending on your skill maybe lawyer or doctor. teacher (depending on subject). things like that that are future-proof
2018-05-08 19:56
Well I need a backup since the droput rates for compsci are so high. I don't wanna be a lawyer and I won't have the motivation to study enough to become a doctor.

2018-05-08 19:55
yeah you have to be ready. preparing like actually being able to program or at least have good unserstanding and interest in computers is a must. you also have to be dedicated to the craft and want it and put work in or else yeah, you fail...
2018-05-08 19:57
Because those friends will end up going to university or moving on with their lives in another way. Only a few will stay. I speak for myself, I only keep regular contact with 5 or 6 friends from highschool. Making new friendships, meeting new people is always exciting and university is the best place for it. Not to mention university it's full of girls to have sex with and weekly parties to go to. Discos are horrible to have fun. Let's just say university parties are much better, specially the ones in the campus where you can get some privacy with the girls. More importantly, you get out being a new person, a new better version of yourself because you end up experiencing many new things.

different projects, like earlier this year we had dancing project which we rehearsed for 8 hours day for months. Now we're dwelling into prononciation of different finnish dialects. Very simple stuff sometimes like audition mock ups or small one man show plays. You should apply if you have passion but it's hard as hell to get in atleast in finland. And the work is not guaranteed when you graduate.
2018-10-01 14:37
Yeah, its also so hard in turkey if you dont have people you know so thats why im studying for USA/Canada. I know that I will probably spend years to make a living by acting so I am also planning to study psychology for a back-up plan.
