If you'd rather have Choke9 or OnlineRG (and i wanted them to success so hard but they are simply onliners) than legendary teams, good for you.
2018-05-16 23:58
Ok i agree with you, i rather have G2 and fnatic than Clown9 and Nrg

I'm ashamed because it's not even mine, saw someone use it on NRG Mouz matchpage, and didn't have any creativity to find another one (the worse is that i like NRG and wanted them to do better, says a lot that they lost to G2 in a low form in Sydney whereas NRG was coming with their best results ever in online games). It's almost like (except obv the huge victory for C9 at Major) that other than C9 (and C9 is bad these days) and Liquid that has some consistency on top 8 top 4 finishes, a final once in a while, a victory on a bit weaker tourney (summit), a top 3 finish against FaZe, no other US team can emerge.

In Sydney they kind of got dicked with the opening match against Astralis and the G2 BO3 was close but still disappointing, however this tournament they really had no excuse, they came out limp dicking it against Heroic which put them in a bad situation. In NA I think it's primarily the style, especially with C9, American teams rely too much on aim thus why they're streaky as fuck, you can't expect to have 3+ players be hot every match. The teams that are more tactical don't have enough skill so it's basically a bunch of flipsides. Liquid IMO has always had the best balance (and currently have the most skill, holding probably the top 3 NA players, NAF, Elige, and twistz) but they have times where they'll just hit a wall and choke.

Yeah agree with what you said about NA top teams, hope Liquid will get another good streak.

NRG has played at 2 Lans. 1st they took Astralis to 30 rounds and lost to mouz. They choked their bo1 yesterday and lost to mouz again. They aren’t bad on lan just never have an easy route

Yeah losing 17-19 to Astralis was a good result for NRG, but losing 1-2 to G2 was disappointing considering G2's form and NRG's one. Let's hope they will improve LAN after LAN, this team deserves to succeed after destroying NA CS online.
2018-05-17 01:10
Not having fnatic sucks, but I'd take NRG over G2 anyway because I think they can only get better, and that's exciting to watch
2018-05-17 09:04
Astralis ez victory again, 3-0 or 3-1 over any team in the final.

Unless its faze, then they'll probably choke even tho they should be able to win

faze barely won any of the 3 maps. and astralis had an off day. if they play anything close to what they normally do, then faze wont stand the distance.
2018-05-17 00:24
FaZe won because all 3 carriers were good at the same time and xizt made some impactful kills too, it happens once in a blue moon, so if they meet each other again - Astralis will win.

I hope you're right, if we see a rematch in the finals, i'll be cheering for astralis.. That being said, i really think faze has some sort of psychological edge over astralis.. I'd like to be proven wrong tho
2018-05-17 08:49
And I kind of cheer for FaZe :-) I like their core and I'm sad that karrigan is so unlucky with his career, yes he got invited by FaZe, but he lost much more events than he won, I felt the same when shox kicked Ex6TenZ from G2 :-) But I'm trying to be real and I think that if not Na`Vi - then Astralis will win this one, FaZe is heavly reliant on the trio and at least 1 or even 2 players usually choke, it's really rare for them to be on point simultaneously.

My humble opinions on why/how pro scene could become more fun to watch and maybe even a little more competitive. 1. Map pool: Have been some of these maps for a decade and for years already in csgo. With all of the community talent valve doesn't even have to have dedicated teams of mapmakers, they can just snipe the best out of thousands made by the community. They should've started a long time ago, cycling multiple new maps in to the pool AT LEAST every year. Not 1 map once in a blue moon. 2. Map picking: The way it works basically mean that the same 3-4 maps are played 90% of the time in bo3s. I think they should somehow introduce some elements of randomness to map picks so that it's not just the same shit like Miragesports 24/7. Not only have we had the same (basically) map pool for ever, but teams have narrowed that small pool even more so that we basically only see half of the maps on a regular basis. Basically new maps ffs

Yeah new maps would definitely shake the scene and the rankings quite a bit. It's not like adding D2 pugland that will change much ...

- cache or mirage (so fucking boring to watch, same shit, play for picks then rush shit when you get an opening kill) +santorini

3.Get rid of this bullshit FB streaming 4. This Intel grand slam thing is kinda cool, they should make something to be given to the team who wins most tournaments fitting certain criterion or the team that ends the year at #1 5. More casual matches in every tournament, like fillers, like the AUS vs UK match in Sydney, the EU vs NA in MLG columbus, maybe pick 2-4 lucky winners to play in this along pros/casters. 6. Drops are always nice but okay even if not available, no harm done. 7. BETTER CASTERS PLEASE, GET BACK SADOKIST, DDK AND ANDERS, need to hear their voice, they were the best at hyping things up, much needed these days. 8. Adding maps would be amazing but the pros don't want to do all that effort they've done on a map they're good at all again, and considering a new map could mean the difference between them winning an important match or not, they'll obviously revolt and Valve can't do anything.

Who the fuck cares about mappool, this game is so fuckin old, still retards like those from rng dont know that you lose on t side, if time runs out and u didnt plant the bomb. So more competitive this game will be when at least 10 teams will show the understanding of simple mechanics of this game on lans
2018-05-17 00:25
yes
2018-05-17 00:09
Blaming C9 and NRG for EU teams not qualifying? Even with those spots, C9 and NRG would have still made it dumbass. They were #1 and #2 respectively. How about you tell G2 and fnactic to step up and not lose to teams like SS and NiP online. Or continue complaining while teams like G2 continue failing in all aspects.

The only issue, and that's why to me you should deserve only 5 spots (and EU 8) is that you get multiple joke teams like Ghost, Dignitrash or coL, our joke teams are NV AGO or LDLC, all these are bad but not as bad as yours so your big names will always qualify. An absolutely trash SK made it, you put a team like them in EU (G2 who wasn't nearly as bad as SK in the past couple months didn't make it, Fnatic was top 2 world or something at some point can finish 10th in our super tough league) they fight against relegation and probably get 10th or worse. Put Fnatic in NA, even if they play like trash they can't finish below 4th or 5th.

Yeah i know we are shit and i don't even like G2 (was only rooting for the Misfits boys for quite some time when it came to french players) but we are reaching the "despair" point so i'm "forced" to root for them (and i like Mixwell and want him to succeed). I hope current G2 will get a real chance and won't be replaced until September or something.

You got me, but it's the truth we are shit. LDLC and NV became absurdly trash, and G2 around 10th place is what our second team should be if we were in a great period of our scene. Just unluko maluko that G2 is our first team LUL
