same here that means your hearing is good fam people who hear laurel have some form of hearing loss on the higher frequencies be it mild or more severe (hearing loss is almost always related to high frequencies)
2018-05-17 01:53
No I mean I hear Laurel, but I can hear Yanny too if I REALLY try.

You fuck it every time you listen to something loud. When you hear that electric beep in your head after listening to music, it means you've killed hair cells and they never recover. So yes, they were right.

If you can hear higher frequencies Yanny, if you can't Laurel.
2018-05-17 02:22
Do the people hearing Yanny still hear the deep side of that audio though? Because to me it sounds deep af, like it would overpower higher frequencies anyway.

it's saying both but in different frequencies. if you have some cheap earbuds or headphones that don't pick up low frequencies as well then you probably just hear yanny. if you have more bassy speakers or headphones then you can really hear the laurel at the end.

Laurel. How the fuck can you hear "Yanny"? rofl
2018-05-17 02:57
white and gold ok, but seriously, I think it depends on where you hear it from, from my cell phone's speaker I hear a sharp, alien-y voice saying "yummy", while when I plug my earphones it turns into a deeper, manlier voice saying "Laura/Laurel"

Is this the modern mosquito noise test? Btw those saying Laurel are correct since the recording is originally saying laurel with the extended frequencies being chopped off.

I was messing around with frequencies and found out that there are different sounds in the audio. Laurel is under ~2200Hz and Yanny is above ~1600Hz. Here you can hear both options (if you have normal a normal audio gadget) vocaroo.com/i/s1wMfWfWvBCT - this is even more accurate than the test by The Independent lol

For how ridiculous as it may sound, i can hear both. Like, i can hear Laurel when i want to, and i can hear Yanny aswell when i want to. I can even hear like this: Yanny, Laurel, Yanny. Or even change it to Laurel, Yanny, Laurel...

Also, i can even hear both at the same time. I'm not even joking.
