4 majors in a year
 |
Estonia Genium
Divide the prize pool of a major by 2 and make 4 majors in a year, why not?

2018-05-17 16:15
what about the 5 finals before that?
2018-05-17 17:12
You dont even learn how to count in sweden? 5? Also getting to the final in almost every tournament and being top2 team is sth bad?
2018-05-17 17:13
how many was it then? it was a guesstimate btw
2018-05-17 17:15
dunno they lost finals after OTs when teams like fnatic or c9 overperformed as fuck and won 3:0 vs godlike astralis with xizt instead of olof so definitely they were unlucky

I say: 100 majors in a year
2018-05-17 15:27
We will win them all
2018-05-17 15:27
And what will make majors exceptional then? Only drops?

Majors are important, world-class events... Having that many a year would make them no different to regular tier 1/tier 2 major/minor tournaments.

That's awful... Seek medical attention for chronic regurgitation imminently, friend. Have a good day. I sincerely wish you well and that you get better!
2018-05-17 15:38
You’re trying to reply in sarcastic way but I hope you do realize that most of the hltv users don’t like you and wish you were finally banned. Someday maybe you will understand how stupid you look with all these obvious pathetic hltv posts that induces a vomit.

Well once you've been to the doctors for your chronic regurgitation, maybe they can test you for human intelligence and the ideologies behind common opinion, common sense, rationality and overall ignorance. Otherwise, your opinion are respected and I hope you have a good day. Fingers crossed the vomiting has subsided given you opted to read another reply of mine.

+1 Additional, a good idea would be to introduce the summer/wintercases again, so that the pricepool can be higher and major tournaments stand out again.

Yeah, I loved those. :D Anything to bring in more popularity among the fans is always a good idea. Be it cases or fan-participation as tangibly as ever.
2018-05-17 15:46
Yes edit: also i would make the prize pool bigger, like the dota 2 has

I'd love that too. Obviously we take "The International" into consideration given it's one of, if not the biggest, online esports tournament alive today. CS:GO needs more TLC, but DotA2 takes priority it seems...

if u divide prize there is nothing different major and a big T1 event like ESL one cologne or sth. only drops and prize make tournament major but i want more drops so why not xD
2018-05-17 15:29
what's the point of that?
2018-05-17 15:31
3 is good but please stop having one tier 1 tournament per month have less tier 1 tournaments and bigger majors PLEASE we're literally seeing the same matchups over and over again and teams don't have time for proper practice so the outcomes are totally random and dependent on how hot teams are on a particular day
2018-05-17 15:33
Organisers have nothing to do with Valvle, if they want to do one 250K$ tournament each week, nothing can stop them.
2018-05-17 16:11
it's not in their best interest if the scene becomes boring they can very well make deals with valve like they have done in the past, or like they even do now for conflicting dates
2018-05-17 16:35
Deal with valve is only for majors, which leaves you 10 monthes/40 weeks to organise as much tournaments as you want. And that doesn't make the scene boring as long as you bring content with the tournament broadcasting...

CSGO needs an international with, or instead of the bi-annual majors.
2018-05-17 16:14
no
2018-05-17 15:33
I thought it was fine when it was 3 majors a year.
2018-05-17 15:33
2 majors and 1 International!
2018-05-17 15:35
I think i have an idea 2 majors One january one july all the time Once every two years there is a "supercup" where the 4 last major winners compete Also have something like a national team cup the years without the super cup

But teams break up constantly, I doubt there's a team that kept together 2 years after winning a major

tbh there are a lot of other events, and 4 major with 4 qualification phase can be like 1.5 months

Current format is the best. Just set major as the last big event before player breaks. One in July and the other one in December.
