It doesn't matter what you are eating if you are over eating you won't lose weight. However eating "clean" will aid you. Running is just a tool to boost calories out. It's not necessary and it won't make or break you but if you have trouble reducing food intake it's a valuable tool. Lifting will help you put on muscle as well. I spent a year losing 60+ lbs and found myself going from thinking skinny was the goal and just moving the goalpost to something more.

As others have stated, running will not get you far. It's mostly about what you eat. Sugar + fat is the worst combination, ie. chocolate, sweet pastries etc. Focus especially cutting sugar. I'd also avoid beer and bread. You can reduce fat intake but that's typically not the biggest issue.
185cm and i weigh like 65kg bro and I eat a lot of fatty foods idk how you even get fat. But I reccomend eating a lot of whole grains and foods that clean out ur digestive system and help you go to the toilet more. I use the toilet like 2-3 times a day.

Manage your calorie intake. Know what to eat and when to eat. If you say you jog I'm gonna assume you have an active lifestyle, so problem might be your diet. Fat loss will happen once you burn more than you eat and given the fact that you burn at least some, i'd recommend keeping an eye on your calorie intake. Hit more vegetables and protein, avoid carbs at night (don't get rid of them). Some carbs do have qualities. Rice for instance if one of the cleanest power supplies and will help you burn fat throughout your day. At nights though, you're not as nearly as active and these carbs will transform into fat easily. Protein and vegetables on the other hand won't affect your weight in a negative way.
Also, drink a lot of water. Water fights hunger and will make you hit the toilet more times than usual, which is also a way of expelling toxins.
did you hear about caloric deficit? you have to calculate your daily caloric needs to keep your weight and remove 300-500cals from it. 0.5-1kg per week is ''healthy'' losing weight.
of course on caloric deficit you will lose fat with some muscles but if you want to keep most of your muscles remember about protein. 1.5g-2g per kg is minimum.

Stop eating more than you burn, simple. Count all calories and make sure you’re slowly scaling down. Do it gradually because if you lose too much weight quickly and then give up on your dieting you will gain more weight than you lost.

Track your calories. Say your maintenance (the amount of food you eat in one day to stay the same weight) is 3000 calories. Then simply eat 2500. And don't focus to much on running. Hello, here is what you are going to do:
1- Download the app MyfitnessPall. Watch a video on youtube on how to use the app. Set it up to lose 1 kg/week.
2- Buy a kitchen food scale. You will weight all the food u eat. With time you will learn how to estimate when u r eating out.
3- Join a Gym. Go at least 4 times per week. Work out hard, always reach failure of every muscle. Try to run at least 3 times per week.
4- Watch a video on youtube about the flexible diet and follow it
- Your meals sould be based on rice, eggs, oat, banana, chicken/meat, olive oil and similar
- When u can, prepare your food and take it with u out.
- Your goal should be around 2 grams of protein per kg of body weight. 1 g/kg of fat, rest of the calories carbs.
- When u go out of diet try to compensate eating less the day after or the day before.
- Supplement your body with fish oil, multivitamin and if you are having trouble reaching your protein goal of the day, take whey protein.
- Drink 3-6 liters of water per day
- Once you take the fat out (cutting phase), start the bulking phase. Keep repeating this cycle.
