why do so many of you guys have steams and csgos language set to english if it's not your native language? Wouldn't it be easier for you guys to read in your own language?

Actually there are a lots of people who don't speak any language but their native-that's why the steam translation comes for those people who don't speak english.

The translation sucks. It's like films, in english: we aren't done come here asshole. In portuguese trasnlation to english: we aren't done come here idiot!

Yes
2018-06-14 00:39
For instance: My steam is set to French and my CSGO is also set to French, cuz I'm learning French. The muscle memory overcomes everything.
2018-06-14 00:41
Tbh the only game I would ever set to a diff language is probably csgo, i know the guns by the places in the buy menu and the callouts by heart, so it doesn't really affect anything. Maybe I'll play in a different language for fun xd

Unlike all Americans, most people from EU and most BR people that are into gaming can speak two languages, so it makes no difference whatsoever. For me, English is as natural to talk and read as Portuguese.
2018-06-14 00:46
that's pretty true tbh, most people in America learn a language in high school or college such as spanish, french, etc but never end up using it so they forget. Meanwhile if I go to EU I can find so many people who are bilingual.
2018-06-14 00:48
cuz Greek alphabet is not well supported in cs plus it sounds weird
2018-06-14 00:46
I use in Portuguese because my english is a shit , but I understand the basics
2018-06-14 00:55
i play only lol in english, the woman voice is too good, makes me horney
2018-06-14 04:58
using software in English is generally easier, because troubleshooting and support is always massively better when the problem can be described in English. all guides on how to fix stuff and just find and tweak everything in general (that is often required with Steam programs) are so easy to find and navigate in English

I use english in every game/programI can because then I can google international sites/tutorials/faq/walkthroughs and not have to mentally retranslate every word I Read
