fnatic era > "astralis era"
Albania Tryzoid
fnatic went to 3 grand finals in major winning 2/3 of them winning tons of events stomping upcoming teams before pronax left astralis win 3-4 tournaments gla1ve is slowly proving himself as pronax level dev1ce isnt as great as olofm in 2015 lets be honest, astralis rn isnt fnatic olof-pronax level atm try to prove me wrong the only valid point would be fnatic had more time lets see if astralis can live up to get an era

I don't think you understood the post. "Astralis rn isn't fnatic olof-pronax level ATM" he is saying that astralis now are worse than fnatic then.
2018-06-18 14:09
tbh im not shaming astralis at all atm, i think rn they're not considered as fnatic pronax level although if they manage to win a major and not change their roster for 1-2 years, i'll consider them as the GOAT team
2018-06-18 14:10
I think we can't compare it (Not same version of CSGO , Different style ,.. ) It's like if u compare Zidane to Ronaldo .
2018-06-18 14:11
fnatic 2015 >>>>> astralis 2018
2018-06-18 14:56
Ah I respect them but you really can't say much as literally almost every team is up and down and FaZe who is one of their biggest rivals these days has a stand-in, G2 isn't on their form, SK isn't on their form, Liquid is up and down, C9 isn't even decent compared to their first 2 months of the year form, mouz is up and down, fnatic is up and down and Na'Vi is literally almost 100% doing good because of s1mple.

Ye but things were more based on individual performances but nowadays it's all about teamplay. Astralis is doing good, not close to Fnatic but they're on their way.

Astralis will never reach Fnatic's level, they will calm down in a few months. Mark my words

Well although Astralis has beautiful team play, they have also some of the best players. Device dropping 20-25 each map, magisk being a top 5 player, Dupreeh creating entries all the time, gla1ve having the occasional map or series where he drops 30 and on top of that x9pyx clutching sometimes impossible scenarios.
2018-06-18 14:19
yeah it also reminded me of fnatic 2015 pronax god tier mindset olof being amazing through out the year krimz as probably the best support player of all time flusha's explosive impact frags and tuned in vac sense and JW's god like awping rivaling kennyS at the time

2018-06-18 14:09
I agree, but still the best roster right now is Astralis, the Magisk move was a really good idea.
2018-06-18 14:09
for me it was strange, since kjaerbye back stabbed his team without most of his fans knowing it even his teamm8s

People also forget that fnatic could've been favorites for two other majors but got really unlucky losing pronax a few weeks before cluj and Olof getting an injury a few weeks before mlg.
2018-06-18 14:09
pronax leaving imo was weird i knew it would be internal problems and hey atleast fnatic was a team that would always go to playoffs but xizt is in fnatic atm and now they have draken so im slowly doubting it
2018-06-18 14:11
fnatic were never favorites for cluj though, they were in slump after winning cologne and looked weaker than nV and TSM

fnatic had pronax for Cluj, they just drew nV in quarters
2018-06-18 14:22
I think they already knew pronax was leaving during the tournament.

And forfeiting in DH winter, which they could have won if they replayed the map/half (can't remember).

If Astralis continue their run throughout the rest of the year and win 1 or 2 of the next majors, they are definitely on par if not better than old fnatic. But if they drop off, you're right.

Even if they win the next major they are still no where near fnatic, but 2 i could see it happening if in between they keep consistency :D

Cba to argue about English which is my native language. But i was agreeing in the fact the only valid point of your arguement was 2 numbers being close to eachother. Not that overall 2 majors would be close to fnatics 3 majors + many premier events nt tho

eras : Fnatic > Astra Fnatic > NIP NIP > SK SK > Astra /close
2018-06-18 14:14
ill be honest if you consider 2017 as SK era, well i will doubt you if we're talking about the fnx period, i will agree with you i consider a team era when there isnt a roster change and they win majors and tournaments

SK had clearly a dominant period during 2016-2017 i'd not say they re juste extremly good as Faze or even Astralis they had an era and i think others pros will say the same as me but i respect your opinion too
2018-06-18 14:21
your era's comparisons were on point im just saying if you consider the SK 2017 "era" aka them winning tournaments in 2017 with roster changes are not exactly eras, anyways a respectable guy in hltv <3 +1

SK didnt have an era in 2017, they lost in semi and fucking quarter at the majors and won 4 tournaments in total in 2017 against a washed Up fnatic team at a tier 2 tournaments

SK with fnx don't have an era. If they had an era then Astralis have an era, LDLC have an era, G2 have an era, fnatic had 2 eras. SK with fnx won only 4 tournaments. Thats not an era. Even nip and fnatic won 3 events that year. SK had era only in 2017 when they won 8 events including 6 premier events.
2018-06-18 14:23
good points, but sk fnx did make top 4's consistently until i think when they lost esl proleague but i do see some points you'll make can disprove me anyways i agree with you 80% i think i can consider an era if the teams won a major, and win 4+ tournaments, or win 6+ tournaments without dropping a map i dont consider ldlc an era despite winning 1 major but after that the team went full shit

nip didn't won any major and they have an era in 2013. majors are glorified big events. thats all. just look at c9 and gambit. they flopped after winning majors. majors are not important in making an era.there are some events which are harder to win than major. its just that major has more prestige. its more impressive to win 8 events in a year than winning 4 events even if those includes 2 majors. we can't call a team have an era if they are not winning many events. teams like astralis always makes semi just like in last year. but they don't have an era because they didn't won anything from march 2017 to april 2018. nobody other than sk fans said they have era in 2016. but look at community reaction after sk winning 8th event last year when feat faze in epl finals.the whole community including players, talent and viewers agreed that sk have era without them winning the majors.

nor it has started in my opinion, i did use quotes because a team like sk for example with felps won the same amount of tournaments before august

Well the start and end of an era can only be determined in hindsight. If astralis continue to dominate until mid2019 they'll say the era will start at dhm or esl so it's kinda pointless to say when Now

astralis didn't have an era yet. but they could make them this year if they could win 5-6 events more.then we can talk about it.not now.

2018-06-18 14:24
Agree, but Magisk has only had like 3-4 months or less. I think it's too early to even compare those two teams.

fnatic barely scraped by in cologne 2015 with some huge comebacks and then didn't win anyting for 4.5 months after that until they picked up dennis. please check your rose tinted glasses ;) "gla1ve is slowly proving himself as pronax level" bs, he's ahead already, but tbf that's not hard :P i agree with the rest.
2018-06-18 14:59

Fnatic level is a thing of legends Just because that team was so legendary makes People judging them now make them much better than they actually were, just because of nostalgia
