Perfect Band for EVERYONE!
twist |
Italy TheSingerWhoHasNeverSung
So, there is no such obviously, different strokes for different folks. But, THERE IS a way to have such rarity at least on the paper. Form a band of the musicians you like, no matter what country each of them is from, what nationality and language they'd be speaking. The purpose of music is to entertain, give meaning to life and find relations. Music is the international language, not English, it is music. CREATE your superband. Mine: Bonzo (Drums, percussion) Frank Allen (Bass) Jeff Beck (Lead guitar) Brian Jones (Rhythm guitar/keyboard/... multi instrumental) Jazzed (Singer) *me* Jazzed (producer & songwriter too). So?
2018-06-19 12:10
Stoppe, I know HLTVers have no clue about music but don't you want to form a band of your dream? Bandstand, come on

yes because grouping together a bunch of generic pop 'musicians' means you have great insight nice 10iq brain you got there
2018-06-19 12:31
What's kind of assumption is this? 98% of HLTVers never even heard the names I put out here. And it's only these 5 that I listed, I know much more that I don't feel the need to share with either of you, so your point?
2018-06-19 12:33
"i can name-drop a bunch of generic pop musicians, i know so much about music guys" - literal 10 iq brain
2018-06-19 12:36
Having know them does already standout you out of the crowd but you seem to have issues with comprehending of the text, try to reread and you will be surprised but you might get it this time

Haha, nice one! I hope he'll keep on rotting there
2018-06-19 12:29
yeah and fuck kurt cobain tbh, shit artist who didnt deserve his fame
2018-06-19 17:01
Well, I agree partly, all the fame he's got was from one certain song. He was much more than that, he had a good mindset and right way of thinking. Also he appreciated good music and history of the industry. He was a junkie too, at some point but 1000 light years ahead of XX shit, there's no comparison
2018-06-19 18:05
tbh, i wanted to just piss you off but now i want to answer seriously first off im biased because im an x fan, but secondly i think its hard to compare artists from different genres because they require (in most cases) another type of skill or quality to be considered good in their respected genre. and a lot of x fans praised him for his personal traits, trying to become a positive influence to "repent" for his past mistakes and bad actions. even so, he was a pretty good rapper imo, obviously most people would say that, because he's dead, but yeah, i think he was a pretty good artist in hip-hop
2018-06-20 01:01
He was nothing more than just an artist though. He entertained but didn't create anything significant. People of art are creators, he was just a joker. I don't want to sound rude again so I stop here
2018-06-20 05:45
sure i understand what ur saying from ur standpoint, guess i cant convince u to agree or see it differently
2018-06-20 18:15
LOL nirvana did not get all their fame with one song. It's the most recognized song but they were much much bigger than that one song.
2018-06-20 15:55
Well, when he died of course, it got a huge effect on their popularity but at the time he was alive, he admitted himself, everyone knew them for that song and he started hating it
2018-06-20 15:57
You're fucking clueless. They were already the most popular band in the world before he died at that point.
2018-06-20 15:57
They were getting there slowly but when he died it took off completely
2018-06-20 16:00
No they were already the biggest band at that time. nice history bruv
2018-06-20 16:00
No way, RS were still there, and all of their popularity was from that song, it all started with it and to this day most of the people know them for that song. And they never were the biggest band at any time
2018-06-20 16:02
ok you're clueless stop the b8
2018-06-20 16:07
You have no clue about RS and calling me clueless, funny dudeson
2018-06-20 16:07
fucking retard.
2018-06-20 16:09
You better go back to fucking super pooper models, music and art is not of your competence, go away
2018-06-20 16:11
TFW I'm a musician LOL
2018-06-20 16:15
This joke will never be funny and seems even less real than you fucking 1250 models and earning 52k euro/month, please
2018-06-20 16:47
I'm at around ~180 girls, some models, most aren't. It'll stay stagnant for a while since I'm now in a happy relationship. TFW I'm not joking and I've never lied about chicks or money on this forum. Also I'm not making 52k per month and never claimed that. You really don't have to be mad. TFW I've banged the least girls out of all my friends not even kidding xoxo
2018-06-20 16:57
Should I make a look as I care or you will just leave quietly on your own? What's so breathtaking in banging chicks when you're a musician, it's very low, high tier musicians keep relationship with the one they'd love. You just followed stereotypes and got the stupid ones who still fall for it... Have a good night, maybe someday you will get something of it
2018-06-20 17:00
1. Musician is just a side-of-desk thing. I'm not fulltime pursuing that, it's more of a hobby 2. I just said I'm in a happy relationship lol. "stupid ones" that's funny though, 95% of the chicks I banged were highly educated 3. you really do seem mad
2018-06-20 17:01
Good for you, it's a good hobby. We both know what kind of education is that and how it was granted for them. Your bragging about 12754 chicks banged tell me another story. If you'll be able to save this relationship, you will eventually get wise but now you're a typical meat chaser with wind blowing in the head, have a good night - once again

Bonzo, no contest here Cliff Burton/Peter Steele (bass and songwriting (Steele lyrics aswell) Dimebag/Hendrix (lead, no need to elaborate) Jerry Cantrell/Tony Iommi (rhythm, occasional lead, insane songwriting, lyrics (Cantrell) and riffs) Layne Staley/Chris Cornell (Cmon dude, in their primes - easily Top 5 vocalists of all time. If you want some classic rock, high, insane vocals - you take Cornell. If you want something more modern (Staley is probably the most influental vocalist in past 20 years), emotional, powerful and insane aswell - you take Staley. And obviously both can write lyrics.
2018-06-19 12:25
It's not quite all about rock and metal, I doubt they'd be able to sing something out of opera decency but I take your crew. Good one. Especially Hendrix Excellent (4/5)

Sorry, I didn't see "For Everyone". But I think Cornell could sing some opera (dude is D5/E5 god), Staley had insane (overlooked) vibrato but his rasp kinda disqualifies him tho.
2018-06-19 12:34
I'd look at Plant, his very bluesy yet so tenor voice has always turned me on. But he's no go right now. We don't have experienced, great vocalists now. Jay Black though, absolute legend of all singers. I'd pick him if it wasn't for me

Yeah, his "Anal Turbulence Tenor" (aaaAAAAAAAAAaah) is legendary. About great vocalists - I think we need few more years to great bands to come out. You can clearly see what kind of music today is popular, what teenagers listen to and how their society looks - it will surely fire a backclash. Metal/Rock gets better when it's unpopular. Today's metal/rock world is dominated by old bands in their 30s/40s and I'm not saying that is a bad thing but they won't bring anything new. I think something will happen in 5-10 years - like grunge's answer for all this glam bullshit in 80s, you know what I mean? At least I hope so. And there are out there some good bands already - check Pregnant Whale Pain in your spare time, the vocalist is CRAZY good.
2018-06-19 12:46
Vocals is not everything, lucky to be a quarter of success, it requires every little thing there is!

I know? Where did I say that only vocals matter?
2018-06-19 13:58
You may have not said it, I have. I don't see music today, for me it's died decades ago, what a shame where music has gone to.

replace the bass with Brendan Brown (former Ne Obliviscaris Bassist) replace vocals with Mikael Åkerfeldt from Opeth replace the drums with Pete Webber from Havok

Lol no xD I know that there are a lot of talented musicians in extreme metal but no, they are not on that level. For example - Opeth did a cover of "Would?" by Alice In Chains (Layne Staley's band) and Åkerfeldt barely did justice to this song.
2018-06-19 16:55
Dude are you really going to judge him over a cover song ? Opeth can cover all the bands i know, they have that talent but not everyone will like it of course and that's perfectly fine. But i don't know many bands that can cover Opeth.

My dream band: Drums: Lars Ulrich Bass: Duff McKagan Lead guitar: Slash, Brian May and Angus Young Singer: Freddie Mercury xD Well, He's dead so... Axl Rose probably but he is getting older... So... Myles Kennedy
2018-06-19 12:27
Why so many leads? Lead guitarist is supposed to be only one, how would it work in your case? ;) Not bad! Very good (3.5/5)

Once I say he is the singer from Coldplay you probably have :D I just love his voice so much, and the role he has in some of their songs are just incredible. I bet he would fit great in any band or style
2018-06-19 14:10
I like 'Adventure of a Lifetime', if it's him who sings the lead, then I don't mind him. It's just a time that puts me down, people are still talented. I don't know if he could be a good blues singer, my favorite genre, but he's good at pop rock songs, so, alright

Yep that's him! He always sings the lead in each of their song youtu.be/P8jOQUsTU9o?t=3m1s from 3 min to end oh god this is medicine for my ears :D and when the guitar comes in ... beyond words imo (give the song a shot if you haven't)
2018-06-19 15:20
Well, he can sing unlike many mumblers of the present time. If he'd only choose some prestige genre to boost up his image. They need a good manager and stylist, to finish their appearance. They could've been a good band in the ocean of shit from present time

Glad you liked it :D I agree! On paper they might need something to fresh them up, but irl imo they have done the best tour ever (2016 - 2017). Best liveband imo as well, kind of why I love them so much. For me it isn't about their songs only, mostly about their concerts and togetherness, like a second family. And the way they make up the concerts ... it is really a book from beginning to end, ups and downs. They play three different stages during the concert :D they give me this times a thousand youtube.com/watch?v=EB-NbV4JTjU&ab_chann..
2018-06-19 16:38
Well, here I can't agree. Rolling Stones touring since 1962 to this day and it's a real family for more than 50 years, they set a numerous world records from tourings. Coldplay has a very long way to go! But they have a nice start

They sure do :D though I think their prime is now, but once they will get older people will give them the real credit they deserve ;) Haven't heard much from them, can you name some good songs? Didn't know they were still going, that's cool
2018-06-19 16:46
They're all about 75 now but they're not about to stop. There are too many songs to name a few, more than 100 for sure. You can pick any single one and it would be perfect, just be aware of music gods that are still there!

75? Jesus I'll give them a try. Obviously they are good, but will be a question if they suit my taste. Been spending all my life listening to more modern music, but maybe I'll become a great fan of them once I give their music and style a shot in the long run :) Edit: This gives me hope for Coldplay lol, they're 40 now xD
2018-06-19 16:51
Not many bands survive a test of time. So yeah, they lost their freshness but their icons are still alive
2018-06-19 16:52
Neil Peart Billy Sheehan Steve Vai Geoff Tate
2018-06-19 14:12
Not bad, don't really know them but sounds good! Good (3/5)
2018-06-19 14:52
Drummer: Neal Peart (Rush) Bass: Flea (RHCP) Lead guitarist: David Gilmour, Backing vocals/Lead (Pink Floyd) Rythym Guitar : Idk some random guy who can blend well Vocals: Eddie Vedder I'm proud to present this but probably Flea's bass gonna ruin the harmony but nvm.
2018-06-19 14:17
I always liked Waters more than Gilmour, but I never really liked Floyd that much to care. You like Peart over Bonzo? He died because of vodka... you traitor russian shit ;) Excellent (4/5)

2018-06-19 16:19
"70's mainstream music" yes i agree ,but you rarely see people appreciate their music now because they prefer easy ones to play and could just play one note and covers their shit rythym with double pedals. you can't argue how artistic people from those decades were, every artists do all their bests to produce a masterpieces unlike the one you're listening now that only sticks to one formula and and no development from every albums because it works for edgy kids thinking that fast loud and repetitive sound is cool. your kind of metal is the worst, even worst than the Glam Metal.

You definitely never listened to Northlane, Jinjer and Animals as Leaders, admit it. You're talking on something you have absolutely zero clue about. Nic Pettersen (wow so much double pedal and repetitive keys) youtube.com/watch?v=U-yDIOh6AmU Tatiana Shmaylyuk (wow so much double pedal and repetitive keys) youtube.com/watch?v=SQNtGoM3FVU Tosin Abasi (wow so much double pedal and repetitive keys) youtube.com/watch?v=xQWQjZxfs4g And to conclude, I added Valentin Hauser and Lachlan because they have great inspirations, I know them, and they could fit perfectly with a more technical style like Nic and Tosin play. I strongly recommend you not to be that aggressive because we both like music, you can dislike my style, but you can't say it's shit, moreover if you're stuck in your 70's.

You're in your rights, but stop talking shit about this genre because you're far from the reality, I'm not into kiddy metalcore, there are multiple genres in metal you don't know. I know that loving mainstream groups is secured, I've been inspired by RHCP, Pink Floyd, DP and all others but if the only song that makes you uncomfortable is "shit", then you don't like music at all, sorry for that.
2018-06-19 16:40

The first aspect of Metalcore is garbage to true purists like me. People like you that were triggered instantly stopped to trust in this genre but I saw some potential in this and I needed like 2 years to understand and discover what is TRUE metalcore/deathcore. Basically, these genres are filled with double pedal and some repetitive keys as you mentioned, that's why I added some alternative and djent (Nic + Tatyana/Tosin) to the line up, because combining deathcore, djent and some alternative would be perfect to me. Just watch at this one and try to tell me there is no talent youtube.com/watch?v=SQNtGoM3FVU

2018-06-19 16:46
It's a new approach to music rating. I never seen anything like this before so people now have a chance to share it. They might have wanted it before but there hasn't been a good opportunity

Dude, they are the Tool lineup hahaha. How can you possibly rate this gods a 2/5?
2018-06-19 16:18
I wouldn't rate it at all if I knew it was a complete lineup. The point of the thread is to combine new musicians into a whole new band. Gather your favorite musicians from different bands into a single one and see what happens! I don't need complete lineups that are real already

But they are my favorite musicians :( We're lucky they already are a band!
2018-06-19 16:23
Don't you know any other musicians beside them? You should form a new lineup!

this is correct, you're just a low iq musician

Out of these three I only heard about Prince so far and I only have respect for him for his songwriting, nothing else. Do a correct lineup with names and bands you've taken them from

both guitars + tamaki = mono drummer = their ex drummer michael mccann is the composer of both 'deus ex' sequels and rob is one-man band called 'access to arasaka' edt. vocal can be Brad Griffiths of Pretty Vicious and Elena Tonra of Daughter (damn, i cant even imagine neo-classical influenced post-rock with indie + garage vocalsits lol), but i like music w/o vocal more =]
2018-06-19 16:53

2018-06-19 16:48
I don't need the actual lineups, gimme an original one from your fav musicians?! This is the point of the thread
2018-06-19 16:49
You've missed the joke my friend.
2018-06-19 20:09
Where was the joke exactly? I didn't really laugh at all, work on it
2018-06-20 11:06
I don't expect anyone to laugh out loud, it's not that kind of a joke. You asked for everyone's perfect lineup assuming no issues, and giving the actual LZ lineup simply says I think they are the perfect lineup. It's really not that hard to understand.
2018-06-20 15:29
I got it but you implied it was supposed to be a joke, what kind of a joke is that... It's just a funny banter at best. That lineup is godlike for sure but you've missed the point of the thread my friend
2018-06-20 15:33
The point of my account is flat, boring banter. If you think I post anything serious you're wrong
2018-06-20 15:34
Well, then it's certainly my bad, I thought you'd be genuine and intelligent person to talk to and have a good time around music but whatever, have fun
2018-06-20 15:35
I mean I do genuinely have a great respect for Zep, that's not banter.
2018-06-20 15:36
So we found the ground that we can trust, I used to like them when I was younger, now I don't appreciate heaviness in music anymore. I prefer soul and sincerity ;)
2018-06-20 15:38
Ah yes. As I have gotten a little older I my tastes have shifted slightly as well. It's interesting how that happens to some people.
2018-06-20 15:51
Yeah, I slowly drifted back in ten with something years, I like soulful music that speaks for itself, how it was made and how it's being sung, every little thing. More than half a century they don't make it anymore

vocals: ronnie radke guitar: jim root bass: jiro from glay drums: joey jordison holy shit that would be perfection in my world, i like escape the fate old albums, bc of ronnies vocals, jiro would give that japanese rock vibe, joey is legend drummer kicked out of slipknot and jim root would give that eerie guitar sound omfg *___* mb we could also put Jonas Bergqvist from Lifelover, if he was alive, to make it a bit depressive. ^^
