To be fair, most public sufficient VPNs (even premiums) offer services for around 60 euros a year and even offer multiple IP countries and shit
Personal VPNs are for folks that kinda dabble into somewhat shady stuff
I have a private VPN. I am hosted by an Indian dude in some data center. Hit ISP never puts out any letters so my input and output nodes are safe and he doesn't keep track of me since I decide when to boot up which node. Also, he has hosted me for past 5 ish years so he's my partner in crime. Everything he sends back to me is OpenVPN.
It is hefty price though. I pay anywhere around 100 to 130 euros a year with sometimes extra money for better nodes or better protocols for him to update his hardware he provides me with but any commercial VPN would ban me for shit I do
