I myself don't care about politics because imo it's irrelevant and I can't really change that much
2018-06-22 21:44

Yes but in germany doesnt matter for what you will vote you will get merkel anyways. Country full of retirees voting CDU cause it was a good party under adenauer in 50/60s. Pretty depressing living as a young adult in germany but guess old generation will die soon
2018-06-22 22:50
what is the younger generation voting for ?

Die Grünen - green party mainly cause they want to legalize weed but also lgbt and feminists AfD- right wing party extremely popular in poor parts of germany. Populists offering easy solutions to complex problems. Imo they are extremely dangerous but i can understand why a lot of people vote for them (muslim immigration crisis in germany) FDP - capitalist liberals who make politics for wealthy people. Mainly college students with wealthy parents CDU - some young people still vote for them because all other options are kind of extreme Die Linke - braindead commies. Also popular in poor federal states
2018-06-22 23:02
what about the SPD?
2018-06-23 14:18
only idiot would vote for socialists
2018-06-23 17:16
first of all: they are not socialists. They are social democrats. secondly: maybe you should inform yourself about socialism before you have such a extreme position

wtf only little vegans vote for Die Grünen and i know noone in my friends circles who would even think about voting for them ... maybe 1 because he is for the lgalization of weed but thats it lol AfD - stupid little kids only living from Hartz IV and their parents and no knowledge about politics ... stopped going to school in the 8th class before you learn things about WW2 or BRD/DDR Linke - dont know what happened during the soviet union or DDR (my mum grew up in the Ukraine and my dad grew up in the DDR) so the communism they are looking for does not work (and yeah i know officially they dont want this if you just read their party program) FDP - okay you can say what you want for me personally i think economical freedom is a have to just without monopoles for sth ... otherwise its working well when the state doesnt make too much for or against the economy ... but we all know how deep politics and economy in germany belong together ... FDP - just dead lol you sometimes realize that a law from them came through but you dont care cuz everyone talks about the party that got the most votes and th kanzler CDU - without this shitty CSU the only real voteable party for everyone (yeah i know merkel muss weg blablabla) but please say me another candidate as Kanzler that is so accepted in the EU and the whole world tho ... so i'm honest i'm an FDC/Unions voter cuz i think the best time we had was Schwarz/Gelb ... at least better than the GroKo atm ...
2018-06-23 14:35

I live in baden-württemberg (green government) but in general if you look at wahlomat and election results people under 25 like them. I actually kind of agree on the CDU part

my uncle lives in Uhldingen Mühlhofen (Bodensee) and dunno ...

2018-06-23 04:43
"(unless it is affecting the economy & investments)" This should not be political decision, it should be left to the free market

2018-06-23 15:42
Discussing politics is probably the easiest way of losing a friend or a family member if they share different political sides. And most people who talk about politics only touch the shallow side of it. If they were asked what does a senator do, etc. they wouldn't be able to respond it. I mean, a more politically informed society is certainly better than a non-informed one. But it's more of an exercise of thought than anything else, because you won't be able to change anything even if you know politics.
2018-06-23 04:45
" what does a senator do", that's not really politics, they just haven't read the constitution.

If you don't care 4 politics someday politics will take care of you. A saying some lecture guy said to us at the time did not make much of it but now i see he was right.
2018-06-23 14:17
You surely know that you can't actually change anything ? And politics is really irrelevant.. Life goes on even if the President in the US is Trump or Obama
2018-06-23 14:29
To be specific i voted in last elections of Mongolia. My vote was very shallow and uneducated so i'll try to fix that next election. As long as politics does not mess with my life standard or something I will stand by and watch but if it even goes to a line of becoming a personal car crash for me and my fellow class believe me actions will be taken.
2018-06-23 14:36
Yes. Its important
2018-06-23 14:17
I do, a lot. People who just dont care about politics are almost as dangerous for a democracy as the right wing idiots that want to destroy it and its values.
2018-06-23 14:19
left wing policies is whats made europe into what it is right now

We still have a great economy otherwise trump wouldn't try to raise the import taxes. You never hear him about raising import taxes for South America or Africa.
2018-06-23 15:45
He did(brazil) (japan), they have exemptions for a brief period only and one of the clauses is that there is a reduction in the amount of steel being imported which is why the. Yes EU right now is second only to America, but the growth of asia is going at a higher rate then EU, while the EU is stagnating and in places, actually declining.
2018-06-23 15:50

2018-06-23 14:26
If you think politics dont make a difference then try to get healthcare in the US and western europe... and look at your wallet afterwards
2018-06-23 14:28
What can you change with your vote that is one of many millions ?
2018-06-23 14:29
well if a large part of the population wants something, they can get it. Its only fair and right that one person cannot change politics for millions all on his own.
2018-06-23 14:30
Rigged af
2018-06-23 14:20
NO.
2018-06-23 14:21
lol. no. so ur tellin me that these fuckhead politicians (who are corrupt cunts anyway in most cases, and im from ger where its not nearly as bad as in some places) can sit in a room, debate an issue for days and days, and then u expect me to decide who the fuck is right when these "experts" havent even reached a conclusion? and not only do i have to keep up with all that shit to be able to make an informed decision, but then after i do that, my vote is worth exactly the same as that of the 50 year old unemployed chain smoker from across the street who spends her time getting smashed on cheap booze while watching trash TV all day? not to mention the fact that politicians have no reason to do the right thing. the only thing they really have to strive for is convincing the public to vote for them and to not vote for the other parties/politicians. in other words, democracy is a fucked up concept, even tho its certainly the best political one weve come up with yet in the history of mankind. i barely care about politics and at every election i pretty much vote the party that supports my general ideas. i dont keep up with specifics.

2018-06-23 14:39
of course, everyone should care at least a little bit
2018-06-23 14:41
i only care before election
2018-06-23 14:43
Everybody have to care about the Politics. WE have to also understand and learn about the politic. If we dont, the politicians will control us. For example 80% of the people in Turkey, dont care about it, thats why we are not t1 country. I know its boring, but we need to understand this sh*t.
2018-06-23 14:49

politics set the laws we live by, from property rights and taxation to the school system and forth. "politics are irrelevant", yeah wait until some corporate paid politician decides you can't send you kids to primary school for "free". hello 10k scholarship, how irrelevant.

Politicians are the most corrupt people on the planet. Nothing the people can do to change anything so people should not really care. Most of them have a goal to get as much money from the people as they can and that's been the case for thousands of years. You are around to work and pay your taxes. That's the only thing they care about.
