Cloud9 and Liquid

Liquid should consider moving NAF to Cloud9 and then replacing coldzera with the vacant spot. Cloud9 can then use Golden (if he is signed) and then build a roster of stars around him. If Skadoodle wants to retire (there is absolutely no proof or report of this but I will add this just in case) then NAF can replace him and then we can grab Ethan from that shitshow NRG team and build an amazing roster.

I totally forgot about tarik leaving. Apparently he's not playing at ELEAGUE, which is kind of stupid considering he can't play at the major with them.

I'd love it if Liquid was stupid enough to drop NAF because it'd be a perfect chance to attempt to bring in Nifty to lead the team and replace Ska at the same time. Liquid isn't stupid enough to replace NAF I don't think however. If they get Coldzera and that seems to be a big if and won't happen for a while it will be Taco or Nitro that leaves.
2018-07-12 07:18
Nifty isnt on the same level as ska, Mifty just had one insane match
2018-07-12 07:34
Yeah but Ska is 24 and Nifty is like 20 and has been an IGL most of his career on a worse team. He's a young player with potential. Exactly the kind of player C9 historically has taken chances on and usually wins (Autimatic and to a lesser extent Stewie being prime examples).
2018-07-12 07:45
Then how did naf fly frag in renegades also nifty doesn't even have a rating over 1
2018-07-12 08:29
Like I said he's an IGL on a T2 team. I mean who else are you gonna bring up anyways? It's not like there are a lot of NA or EU AWPing prospects that have shown a lot of promise. But you have a guy on a T2 team that's been leading the team for years, is young and still newish to the game, and has shown flashes of brilliance. Ska is retiring sooner then later. Tell me who would be better I think is the ultimate question.
2018-07-12 14:25
1. Nifty hasn't even been leading the team for years. 2. JKS and Jkaem do way more to help out the team. 3. There are a couple of awpers that have shown a lot of promise like cerq 4. Cloud9 is probably going to take a chance with golden so they don't need to ogle 5. I don't care if he is a igl if renegades wants to be a t1 team they need a consistent awper so they need to either change the igl role or replace nifty.
2018-07-12 19:38
7. They should kick ustillo.
2018-07-12 20:41
1. So what? Golden has less experience. 2. JKS does. Jkaem debatable. 3. I agree if you can sign Cerq you do it without thinking twice 4. Golden is no better then FNS and foreign so I hope it doesn't work 5. Disagree. A 19/20 year old who has shown promise is a player you try to build around or put him on a better team to see if he can blossom. 7. Agree.
2018-07-12 23:35
1.They have about the same amount of exp and about the same rating and at least golden isnt a igl awper with a low rating. 2. Jkaem has a better rating then his atm. 4.FNS wasnt bad just didn't fit cloud9. 5. C9 isnt much better than renegades rn. 7.Also kick Azr and get a igl so nifty can focus on rifling.
2018-07-13 02:08
Awping*
2018-07-13 02:08
5. There also a lot of other awpers who I think would do a better job if given a chance Koosta,Wardell,Cadian,Juji, shahzam.
2018-07-13 02:13
Maybe. The only young AWP talent I really see that has shown real consistent promise is Cerq. I agree Nifty is inconsistent. But if C9 signed a player like him and maybe a good young rifle like Ethan then a core of Auti, Rush, Nifty and Ethan could be pretty deadly.
2018-07-13 09:07
Its weird cause like who would cold replace? Naf has been the best player on liquid, Elige has been his same consistent self, nitr0 is igl, twistzz is a young star and cold wants to play with taco so it wont be him. If they replace nitro, who will igl? Taco maybe?
2018-07-12 07:36
Almost positive it would be Cold. The tension in MIBR almost has to be related to him wanting to IGL certain maps or him not being on board with bringing Americans onto the team. The former seems more likely considering Liquid, C9 and Faze have been speculated as landing spots for him.

They're going to end up failing miserably at events and then cut twistzz or NAF anyways to get an IGL.

In my opinion, these teams can looks like this: Cloud 9: Golden, Styko, Rush, Skadoodle, Nitro Liquid: Elige, Coldzera, NAF, Taco, Twistzz mibr: Fallen, Fer, Stewie2k, Autimatic, Tarik
2018-07-12 20:45
C9 get's fucked so hard in that deal it's not even funny. Hope you are wrong. If they take Autimatic from me I may cry. Although I guess MIBR becomes an NA team at that point and that'd be kind of funny. Edit: There's no indication Autimatic is leaving at this point or that he's interested though so seriously speaking I kind of doubt it anyway. Either way these moves wouldn't happen until after the major unless MIBR and C9 want to sit out and I guarantee you ownership wouldn't let that happen.

Unless Cloud9 wants to pay a large ass buyout, twistzz probably wants to stay on Liquid. The team is slowly building itself, with coldzera (if they replace NAF) they will have completed the best acquisition in CS:GO history and therefore will have completed their roster.
2018-07-13 02:12
You don't really complete rosters in CS anymore. Just look at all the turnover in 2018 alone. Thorin made a video about this and it was actually a good one. It's clearly in players best interest to sign shorter contracts because a lot of them are coming and going in 6 months to a year. And from a player perspective it also lowers the insane buyouts teams can put on them (See Na'vi). And from a team perspective you don't get stuck with a dud. Look at those suckers in G2 paying like 8 players right now really high salaries. Completely unneccesary.

It is quite hard to actually hold on to players, that is very true. I just personally want to believe that Liquid has a different ethic.
2018-07-13 09:07
I don't know how long you've been following CS but Liquid is vicious with players when it comes to signing and cutting. They are cold and calculating. I find it kind of refreshing tbh. Jack (of C9 ownership) seems to like his players so much he'll let them go if they want. What I like about the man is that he turned a no cost signing in Stewie2k into the largest single player buyout in CS history. C9 is flush with buyout money now that Tarik and Stew are gone. If we are being honest Tarik and Stew are at best above average players. C9 ownership should see this as a chance. They made the right call in holding onto Autimatic. That's the piece you build around. We'll know more during the summer break and after the major with where C9 as an org wants to go. NRG players are out there without a major spot. That's something to look at. Hell for both Liquid (who badly need an AWPer) and C9.

In Liquid at the moment the only hole is the AWP role. Yes I agree Liquid needs an AWPer badly. On paper, if they acquire coldzera, all their roles will be completed. That is only if they keep nitr0 and drop NAF. Therefore, a completed roster. The longevity of this roster only depends on their achievements and the patience of the players themselves. What do you think of this roster though? nitr0 coldzera TACO EliGE twistzz I think this is an amazing team.
2018-07-13 09:31
I would drop Taco before I dropped any of the other players. NAF, Elige and Twistzz are all world class riflers. Nitro has proven a decent igl and an average hybrid AWP. Taco's stats are still bad. Never understood the fascination with Taco. However I think it's likely that Nitro would be the one to get the boot in any hypothetical scenario where Coldzera leaves and Liquid manages to be the one to get him. Have to remember this move cannot happen until after the major so things could change as well.

Would you keep TACO for coldzera? I'm hearing that TACO is allegedly the driving factor in coldzera's decision.
2018-07-13 19:13
If I was making the decisions I would drop Taco for Cold absolutely without thinking twice. But it wouldn't really "hurt" to drop Nitro either. Nitro is a decent player though. Average but certainly better then Taco. The best potential Liquid lineup with Cold involves Nitro not Taco IMO. But if that's the only way he comes then yeah you gotta drop Nitro.
