generic trap beat w/ basic 808 and drums. You should add more personality to it. it sounds fine with the eq and everything but its just plain and boring.

you should adjust the bass to the song
2018-07-16 23:07
i did it, but i wanted the bass to sit in the back and just support the beat so i made it pretty quiet

i mean listen to the bass yourself you hear its not fiiting to the song accustically

it's a really long loop, only the kick seems proper. not enough groove with the Hi Hats and Snares. Try to keep the kick and build something only with the drums. When you have something good, add the lead memory you already have, create some change in it to break monotony. Then add a pad or an other synth/sample to create a gimmick. Try to have a proper mix cause' right now it's like only low freq and no high (it sounds poor) also the low freq are saturated, it may create the effect you want with the kick being low but in fact it just make is dry. If you want to be in the beat game, keep on working on your groove, work on you drums. TIP ALERT : a nice bassline is really important !!!!!!! EDIT : a drum kick ain't a bassline ;)
2018-07-16 23:08
thanks bro, i only produce for about 7 months so every feedback is important for me!

been doing music for 12 years ;) working on your mix and understanding how the frequencies are working is important. understanding the different layer you need to be able to have a complete track and that every instrument, freq has its place. then listen to a lot of the tracks you like, study the different layers and the timing, when the break is coming, what instrument, what part of the drum, etc and work on yours. Then share your music, dont be shy to ask for REAL feedback and just listen and do the shit. At some point you migh with some patience and talent be successfull ;) Good luck

not bad all, i ve been studying music for almost 8 years (classical tho) and maybe it sounds a little repetitive but its good if u only start doing this 6 months ago so 8/10
2018-07-16 23:21

jkornfeld.net/motive_development_1.pdf jkornfeld.net/motive_development_2.pdf music.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-writ.. music.tutsplus.com/tutorials/an-introduc.. music.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-writ.. That's more about the classical music but sure will help you. Also, if you want to make a carrier and have money to invest, buy a MIDI with 61 keys (at least) and learn to improvise, learn some basic theory especially harmonization. I want to mention that theory is just theory, when you create, you gotta ignore it to some extend. Not fully but almost, for example, you can create a second melody over the main but it would take you more time if you don't use the rules of Cantus Firmus (which you DON'T HAVE TO ALWAYS APPLY; you can land on a 2nd minor if you want and like it). Don't make only trap, it will die one day as many different genres: jazz, classical, rock (by "die" I mean lose it's massive popularity). Find another genres you enjoy or don't get stuck in any at all which I recommend you to do.

wow dude, love your mix and master
2018-07-18 18:38
I also started with a crappy trap beat until I found that one of the best way to express your feelings is through music, and that changed my style completely :) what software do you use ? fl ?
2018-07-18 18:56
yeah
2018-07-18 20:10
What do you express through repetitive samples?
2018-07-18 20:12
says lil pump fanboy lmao gucci gang gucci gang gucci gang gucci gang gucci gang gucci gang totally not repetitive
2018-07-18 20:52

2018-07-18 21:26

2018-07-19 10:35
I don't know why you still think I'm his fanboy, tho. Snobs aren't smart people as I've ever thought.
2018-07-18 22:39
go eat a pizza degenerate fuck
2018-07-19 10:33
some of these are pretty great and quite creative unlike a lot of this type of underground lofi now that the genre is getting so over saturated. how long have you been producing for?
2018-07-18 23:11
about 5 months. its nothing I do full time though, I dont rush art, I only produce when Im feeling inspired or hyped, as you can tell I have very few tracks for a time span of 5 months. I learned it all by myself tho
2018-07-19 10:37
that's quite a lot of quality material for 5 months. i've been producing for around 4-5 years now. when i had been producing for 5 months i was still making stuff that sounded fucking terrible (although to be fair to my noob self i was producing a more sound design heavy genre) not rushing things is a very good attitude. a lot of bros on the forums like to brag about how they make their songs in 30 minutes. it's good to have efficient workflow that allows you to create a full song in 30 minutes but to make stuff quickly just for the sake of making it quickly is totally retarded. i fell for that one myself and i wouldn't recommend it
2018-07-19 11:07
Snares to loud and clicky, but otherwise a nice beat.
2018-07-18 18:40
thanks for the feedback
2018-07-19 16:19
Boring. Trap beats always sound boring without a rapper/vocalist.
