Best footballer ever?
 |
Finland jack7bauer
Whose best footballer ever in your opinion and why ? For me its the real ronaldo #9 In my childhood, if someone asked who footballer you would like to be, everyone would said ronaldo. This guy was so good, he was like messi&cristiano combined with some extra. If he wouldnt suffer from so many injuries and health issues, can just imagine how good he could been. 8 goals in a world cup tournament, leading brazil to championship. Thats something cr7 or messi are unable to do.

calling someone the best player ever even tho he hasnt won anything with argentina is just absurd
2018-07-21 14:37
He dont need to win somethink with Argentina, he's carrying this shit team since 10 years, unlucky he lost 3 finals. He won everthink few times in club and has broken like 90% individual records of all time. This guy is a god, and if you can't deal with it you are just ignorant or have no idea about football.
2018-07-21 15:00
dude ofc he won a lot with barcelona, barcelona is always full of talents and very good players but he never steps up in the national team. r9 had more goals in 1 world cup than messi in 3, the only time he shines is in laliga because barcelona and real madrid are on another level than the rest. without the injuries r9 would have probably been the best of all time.

Argentina matigarcia99
He won sub20 world cup with Argentina and a gold medal, and carried them to three finals (including WC final). "He only shines in La Liga" hes got 4 Champions and better gol/ratio than cr7 in that competition. So yeah bro now that i show that your arguments are shit you can go to sleep or start watching a new sport cause this aint the one for you
2018-07-21 18:10
he has a better goal ratio? yea no shit when he scores like 4 times a game against malaga or some shit LUL btw sub 20 world cup like anyone cares and did i say hes worse than cr7? ofc hes better than cr7 but still not the best of all time lmao

2018-07-21 18:54
i also said that he hasnt done shit with argentina which is a fact, his one decent world cup where he scored 4 goals doesnt change that

 |
Argentina matigarcia99
I also said he carried Argentina to three finals which is more than most players could do for his national team. The fact that he didnt win any of them is a detail, bad luck. But that doesnt change what hes done. I also forgot to mention he is Argentina all time top scorer and he scored a hat-trick to take Arg to this World Cup, so yeah hes done a lot for Argentina.
2018-07-21 19:21
he might have done a lot but not enough. people like ronaldo or zidane could lead their teams to victory. r9 almost scored the same amount of goals for brazil than messi scored for argentina with 30 matches less than him. zidane had fanstatic vision plus incredible ball control and could also score. r9 and zidane were very diffrent players but both of them stepped up in a final and won their team the world cup something messi was and never will be able to do. hes kinda like niko, he can score like 5 times in 1 game and in the next game when it really matters he wont do shit and argentina loses.

Exactly what the german guy said. Messi is good only in barcelona, where he got full team of worlds best players to feed him and play for him. He being unable to do almost any impact on the national team even tho argentina team is not bad, just not good as barca. Ronaldo 9 however basicly won the world cup single handedly for brazil in 2002, with 8 goals, beating germany in final with his 2 goal 2-0 game. Sure brazil team was solid, but without ronaldos goals they wouldnt won that cup. As the german mate mention, R9 scored more in 1 world cup than messi in 3. Also those rare goals messi has scored in world cup, are all in group stages, goals on important playoff games are unexistent.
2018-07-21 18:00
1.Every top team is playing for the best player in team, it's obvious. 2. Clearly see that you have never watched any Argentina games except some WC matches. 3. Yea true about Ronaldo, for me he's best 9 of all time in his peak but you can't cansider him as the best player ever because he has played on this level only for like 4 years.

yeah, everyone is always going on about CR7 or messi being the GOAT and disregard the history of the game. IMO so many people like Zidane and Ronaldinho were better players
2018-07-21 10:06
A lot of players from that time were better than cr7 at least, Messi was brilliant for a while, but he faced lower opposition. Those players back then also had to deal with the greatest generation of defenders like Maldini, Nesta, Thuram, Puyol, Cafu, Cannavaro etc, theres few of that caliber today.

Yeah, and 18/19 yrs Messi was fooling them like children, I can only remember Nesta (I'm not sure if him tho, maybe it was Maldini) managing and even overwhelming him sometimes.
2018-07-21 12:35
Except he wasnt, 18/19 year old messi was affirming himself as a starter for barca and wasnt the best in the world until he was 22. He sure fooled getafe tho. Also, maldini was fucking 37 or 38 when messi turned pro, shows how much you know. Cafu was retired, everyone else was about to retire except puyol who played with him on barcelona.

Well there is solid arguments why f.e ronaldo was better than cr7 or messi. Example that ronaldo was able to make huge impact and shine on national team on world cups, leading brazil to the trophy. While cr7 and especially messi are unable to do anything on world cup when it matters the most. cr7 portugal have way weaker team so its more understandable, but messis argentina, should been good enough (especially in 2014), to messi to lead them to trophy. But no, messi being unable to do barely anything to help his team when it matters the most, and not having barcelona stars feeding him. Thats what makes likes of ronaldo, maradona, pele, zidane better players in my opinion. They all led their national teams to the trophy with big effort, besides shining and scoring also in club career.

Messi at his peak. There were gods like him but his peak was something a bit more and is at this moment unreachable for anyone. Neymar is wasted, Mbappe is great but I don't think he'll be that good, same can be said about other today's talents like Asensio. I think they won't reach CR7's peak aswell.

Yes he was same era footballer as 3 mentioned above , however in my opinion he wasnt TOP 10 footballers . He's liverpool legend and was a good midfilder so if u would ask me about MIDFILDERS only then i would place him in top 3 under Iniesta and Xavi.

Any team from top 3 can win. Depends on a day really. I don't think liquid in current sqad have a chance , maybe if they will take coldzera at some point they will be top 3 and mousesports had simply not enough time to prepare with Snax in . MIBR have currently alot of problems inside the squad with rumorous that coldzera isnt happy there , therefore i dont belive they have real chance to win . We will see but if i would have to pick one team only one team it would be Astralis. There's alot of small factors that makes a huge difference.
