is it worth buying the m4a1-s?
I have always played with M4A1-S throughout my play time since 2014 and I barely to never used M4A4, for a quick season and back to silencer.
if you think it has become a good weapon why do you ask if its worth buying?
are you retarded?
edit: i take that question back i just saw your flag
youre obv retarded
M4a4 spray pattern is so facked but i still use it
I don't like it because 20 Bullets are not enough to stop a rush, for example.
i play a1s cus im an igl and i suck with m4a4 and i normally play positions where i go 1-1
also its easy af but not for aggressive plays
Where are we dropping though?
It's honestly really good if it matches your playstyle. A lurk or someone who ingages on long range combat and plays around smokes, like short on mirage or long A on Overpass could really be deadly when it takes an extra second for someone to know where they're being shot from.
But i don't like it that much, I prefer to spam a lot of smokes and bangable spots just to some bits of damage en get info sometimes. Then the M4 is way better for that.
I prefer to play with m4a1-s because most of the time I play in long range positions plus the spray is easy to control.
long range positions, easy to spray, no trace bullets (also no radar notification when you shoot) > pick m4a1-s
close range positions, fast firerate, more ammo > pick m4a4
no, m4a4 still 1000x better
only if you have a skin for it
is still shit, the recoil being easy doesnt make it good, you just learn the a4 recoil and is better in every way
i just play pistols on CT since they are better and cheaper than the m4 guns anyways and you can usually can get great angles lul
I remember back in 2014 the M4a1-s was the preferred weapon by most pros and casual players mainly due to the fire rate, easy spray and accurate first 3 bullets. Fire rate was the big factor and offset the lack of bullets. Now, The M4a4 in my opinion is better but honestly just play with whatever you like. I usually try and swap out to a dropped AK whenever I can anyway. Play style is also something to consider e.g. if you play passive longer range positions and tap / burst the m4a1s might be better and the m4a4 wouldn't yield much greater benefits but if you are a more aggro player, prefire / spamming throughs walls and smokes, definitely go for the m4a4. I like the m4a4 when I'm playing in checkers on B site Cache or holding close on cat Dust 2 but prefer m4a4 when playing CT / Ticket booth Mirage or Stairs / Plat Cobble.
the spray pattern is actually the same (the first 20 bullts land in exactly the same location), its just got less bullets and a slower fire rate so really the spray is no easier to control
I wouldn't say it's worth it. Comparing it to the M4A4:
M4A4 - M4A1-S
Magazine Capacity: 30 Bullets > 20 Bullets
ROF: 666 RPM > 600 RPM
I can also spray better with the M4A4 than the M4A1-S but that's preference.
m4a1s is slow as fuck, a4 faster
Come on guys, it is obvious that this gun causes duels lost.
It is not, I wouldn't disagree with you in general, yes the ammunition upgrade was great and certainly brought more value to the weapon.
Still the 10 bullets advantage per clip is insanely big, especially with the lack of first bullet accuracy and the slowness of the "S" version.
deagle is infinitely better, m4 can't even 1 bullet kill thru helmet
M4A4 is better if you can control the recoil, more damage
M4A4 is still better.
I prefer M4A4 instead of AK
Depends on you, if you feel better with the A1, take it. The A4 is still a better weapon, but the difference isn't huge enough to force you to the A4. Use the one you're better at.
633 fire rate needed. It still will be worse than 666 of m4a4 but atleast make m4a1-s not usless.
with a4 i feel like killing is faster and possibility of multikills is way higher
yes after the update many pros and others have switched to it
the current meta favors the a1 above the a4
