I am Asian and I say, SK had 2 years of uninterrupted era, 2016, 2017. deal with it hater

2018-07-25 17:34
They won 3 tier 1 events in 2016, and NA tier DH Austin, They had dominant year 2017 but 2016 wasn't that amazing, I know "2 majors kkkkk" but most of tier 1 events are actually more stacked than majors. So they had a good year 2016 and dominant year 2017, I wouldn't call that "era".
2018-07-25 18:24
fair point but when u compare them to other teams at a time they were dominant. That's all I said
2018-07-25 18:39
VP, Fnatic and I think Astralis but I'm not sure about them had the same ammount of tier 1 events won in 2016 as SK/Luminosity.

Let's not forget the fact that Liquid choked so that game would've been a fluke, especially Coldzera's jumping shot since it was proven to be luck. I mean at the same time they were competing Astralis, VP, NaVi and Fnatic, VP and Fnatic still being strong at the time and NaVi and Astralis being World Class. Not only that, Astralis became the #1 team from 2016 December to 2017 May, SK being top again for the next half. That's why I don't believe they had an era because even though they were strong, they weren't dominant enough. Enough of my rant now ig ahaha
2018-11-18 00:48
I wouldn't call it an era as much as strike of lucky matches. Coldzera being called top 1 player in the whole world and now back at average 1.15 rating kek

what? FaZe was better than them? the first time ever that faze beat SK in a series was this year while SK was already at their slump, FaZe lost a bunch of bo5's and bo3's to SK in 2017 so how was FaZe better than them?
2018-07-24 22:37
MIBR only won Sydney, Cologne, EPICENTER, and Odense last year.

yes. a pretty impressive one as well. rising through the ranks from the bottom. my favorite era along with fnatic one tbh :)

No, i dont believe so. While back to back majors is impressive in 2016, they only won 4 tournaments for the year, and that doesn't translate to an 'era'. Also the 2016-2017 crossover 'era' is invalid because after Cologne 2016, they didn't win a premier tournament until 10 months later which was IEM Sydney, so no those years don't cross over. If SK won Eleague 2017 or Krakow I would say they would have had 2017 as their era. SK had 5 big tournament wins while Faze had 4 big tournament wins in 2017 so I'd say those two teams dominated the year. Yes, I know SK always had Faze's number last year, but Faze still won those 4 big tournaments SK attended. That's just my analysis. I say it how I see it. Early nip and 2015 fnatic are the only eras in my eyes.

Imo Only NiP and ofc fnatic had an era. They were dominate everything in their pass. fnatic was a tough one so more credits to them. By NiP fan. SK gaming for sure was no #1 team for a long time but none i believe would really call it era period. Eras has to do with long period too. SK were in a very good shape for about 1,5 year if im correct. On this period they were losing also trophies etc.
2018-07-24 23:03

NiP was only unbeatable because they played with "noob" teams, yes, verygames was a great team, but nip were just better than them, nip only got that 87-0 streak because they knew about the maps, since at that time we only had 5 maps on the pool, verygames were good at 4 of them, but in mirage they sucked, NiP knew much more than their competition back in the start of cs:go, since the top teams from 1.6 and source got to the game they started to slowly know how to play against nip, until they knew how to beat them, it were only a matter of time for nip to start losing, and when they started, they were getting worse and worse tl;dr: nip was only good because they played against shit teams to get 87-0
2018-07-24 23:23

Bro, if sk didn't had an era neither did NiP, against who nip played back in 2012? the great teams at that time were still on 1.6 and source, and by the time they got into the game they didn't knew as much as NiP did, so, if SK didn't had an era, NiP didn't had one as well

Of course not. Why you'd even ask is beyond me because it's not a discussion as to why, it's simply assumed. Maybe in 2005, not in CS:GO...
2018-07-25 01:36
2 majors! Dominated the scene for two years! Had the best player in CS GO for two years in a row! Had the best IGL CS has ever seen! Only team to play with 4 players in the server and win all the time! Yes, LG, SK and MiBR had an ERA!
2018-07-25 17:26
Give your time a break if you think winning 2 back to back majors and being the #1 team in the world for 2 years isn't an era. "OH. BUT THEY WEREN'T AS DOMINANT AS FNATIC AND NIP." And who the fuck died and made you king of the word era? So what if they weren't AS dominant? They had to deal with better teams, and for longer.
2018-07-25 17:33
If there was a team which won back to back majors and was the #1 team for 2 years then yes, that team would have an era. That did not happen in CS:GO yet. LG/SK won back to back majors - yes. But they werent the #1 for 2 years. They werent even ranked by HLTV as #1 team for 2 years. They were #1 to the following times (and I dont count HLTVs ranking, I am talking about real #1 when they won tournaments): April 2016 - July 2016 April 2017 - July 2017 October 2017 - Dezember 2017 Thats it. Why not the rest of 2016? Because they were only ranked #1 because they got invited to every tournament and still couldnt win A SINGLE EVENT. Teams like fucking dignitas or NA teams like Cloud9 and OpTic were able to win events to that time. This is just sad. SK had such an easy field of opponments and still shit the bed and only went to semis/final. Also they didnt have to deal with better teams lol. Teams in late 2016 were trash. They also didnt have to deal with teams longer than NiP and fnatic. No idea why you think that.
