Never once did I say home crowd advantage isn't a thing; stop imagining I did. I'm just saying it puts more pressure on the home team.
The events you gave weren't all good examples for your argument.
- In Oakland, NiP won twice, and an American team only won one bo3 with a crowd (C9 vs Gambit in 2016 lmao).
- Same thing with New York: America won one bo3 in Barclays spanning two years (LIquid vs SK 2017) and then bombed the Finals.
- Throughout ELEAGUE Premier, America has won two bo3. (C9 vs G2 in 2017; Liquid vs Navi in 2018).
- Another thing I must point out is that CS_summit has now crowd - just the stream, mister smart guy.
Don't get me wrong, hometown teams can make magnificent runs: Boston, Eleague Season 2, and Cologne 2018 are great examples of that... but we also see hometown teams bomb in playoffs: VP in Krakow lost to Immortals. NiP choked at Dreamhack 2014. Tyloo lost Shanghai recently.
