I need to buy a new mouse: Don't know much about new mice nowadays as I quit playing cs for about 4 years now. My ms 3.0 gets too much dirt too often; it's annoying and I dont feel like buying new mouseskates for 10€ + delivery costs. Anything up to 30€ will do. The Deathadder might be a waste here.

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
My mousepad is an S%S and reflection with infrared mice could be a problem (Happened with the krait back in the day)
2012-09-15 16:32
Zowie EC series.
2012-09-15 16:32
The Razer Abyssus seems kewl. Thoughts? I'll look into it #2 thank you
2012-09-15 16:34
Too expensive considering casual play.
2012-09-15 16:35
What about the SS Kinzu. I just dont want mouse accel and a small mouse. The 3.0 fits my hands perfectly because they are huge. EDIT: Will I have issues with Razer Abyssus Mirror tracking/picking my S&S when lifting it off? Any experience, anyone?
2012-09-15 16:40
Razer Abyssus sucks... I have it now for the 2nd time... Once i had to repair it too... And i just want new mouse now cause that one sucks... I have it for like 10 months now and i can tell u rlly :D

518, cheap and brilliant
2012-09-15 16:58
MX518 is extinct. G400 is made to replace it, and it does very well in doing so.
2012-09-15 17:04
Yeah I did realize they might not even sell 518 anymore. It is a great mouse tho and it's around the same size as 3.0. They sold 518 for 30 years ago so figured it must be very cheap by now
2012-09-15 17:53
nah 518 and 3.0 felt different . center of gravity for 3.0 is better for me atleast than 518 .. but yeah these are just personal preferences :-)
2012-10-31 09:54
I said same size, not same
2013-03-16 10:27
518 was the best mouse ever :X:X:X:X:X is like a nokia 3310 :D

Buy another 3.0 ane sell the old one? Also there's IMO/WMO 1.1 as another option. Same sensor with 3.0, but smaller shell. But, I think Logitech G400 will satisfy you more as you prefer bigger mice. It's has the reknown Logitech's superb durability and customer service, also has a sensor which is one of the best in the market today, if not the best (since the other 'best' sensors usually have issues), plus, has a surprisingly cheap price compared to what it has given to the user.

Don't buy Steelshits. You'll be disappointed.

is not like that at all, i have an ikari optical for god knows how long and it works better then my deathadder 1800dpi version and i personally find it more comfortable then the ec1.
2012-09-16 09:27
i have ikari optical about a year and it already has double-click problem and the mouse stops moving for a few seconds in every 5 minutes -.-
2012-10-29 17:41
I had that problem with my SS Kinzu two times... Its all about the cable... Nothing with mouse. You have ruptured it.
2012-11-01 01:16
that depends on the product.. really
2012-10-31 09:39
my xai's been working perfectly for more than 2 yrs now.

zowie ec eVo series
2012-09-15 18:09
I tried the mx518 back when I first started playing playing cs. The g400 wouldn't be a bad choice at all. Buying another ms 3.0 also crossed my mind but since the problem itself comes from the mouse skates picking up too much dirt, it's frustrating for me paying 30 for the same thing as I'd have the same issue. I'd rather try another mousepad instead. But that's ruled out. Plus I'll have to travel for a while or I'll be limited. I don't feel like travelling 45km to another city to get a mouse; or even pay almost 10 for the delivery costs. EDIT: The zowie ec eVo series are too expensive. I'm not that inclined on buying another 3.0 or the g400 as it own't probably solve my dirt issue and I'm more inclined to try something more flashy with a seemingly great sensor like the Abyssus. Iloved the old diamondback but it was too small for my hands and the cord had huge connectivity problems(2 dbs died off with cord problems).
2012-09-15 19:27
If you liked the 518 go for the g400. I didn't even know it was a successor for the 518 untill "1.6 united" told me above. I asked a few friends on irc about it and they all said it's a great mouse. I assume you had the "modern" 3.0 which alltogether wasn't a good mouse. The original white 3.0 (released in like 2002-2003) tho was _by far_ the best mouse ever created. I've been using Xai ever since I bought it. Sold the first 2 but bought a third since it's great. It's expensive tho and smaller.
2012-09-15 19:33
yeah. Mine's the "new" 3.0 version. I played a lot with the 1.1 and 1.1a a long time ago; have none now though. They were also pretty nice. I just can't stand having to clean the mouse + mousepad the whole time and getting friction due to dirt. The Razer Abyssus Mirror 3.5G really caught my eye but no inputs so far.
2012-09-15 21:44
one friend have it and i dont like it its like a small plstic box haha

zowie evo
2012-09-15 22:17
-Razer Abyssus (Avago ADNS-S3888). (Beware : the older firmwares create a jittering issue ; as Abyssus firmware can't be updated, you have to buy a recent enough model, loaded with one of the newer firmwares which fix the jittering) edit 11/11 : beware
2012-09-15 22:49
well if it is for cs:go it doesnt matter game is random as shit
2012-09-15 22:58
It's for some cs sporadically, with friends. Stopped playing at all for 3-4 years and started playing some a few weeks ago b/c of GO; ended up playing 1.6 again. Like I said, my 3.0 is in perfect shape; only a bit worn off. Problem is having to clean it + mousepad a lot with alcohol. Could also be an S&S problem altogether.
2012-09-15 23:44
No, SnS is perfect. It used to be n0thing's, cogu's, Tentpole's, and ultimately SpawN's choice of pad in their prime. It consumes mouse skates, though. You can also pick cloth pads to prevent the skates to wear off though. Another alternative is to put stickers on top of your skates.

2012-10-31 09:56

2012-09-16 01:38
Admins :D deleted the "Hello Pretty" conversation. The site is dying fast and you delete my posts about my friends funny work. What the hell?
2012-09-16 02:00
Don't get it either here :/
2012-09-16 02:11
I've always used the S&S, personal taste. I don't care what other players use. And it's far from perfect. Had at least 3. The first S&S would wear off in 3-5 months. The improved S&S was a huge leap in that department though. The one I have now is in reasonable shape nad it is old. And, of course, it's expensive for a piece of plastic fiber.
2012-09-16 02:09
Have you tried cloth pads like QcK? 5L, which is like a hybrid of a cloth and plastic pad, IMO is also very comfortable.
2012-09-16 02:13
I played with two qck+ at first but they lacked durability.
2012-09-16 03:15
Razer Abyssus Mirror is a pretty small mouse i would say,u can try logitech g400 or ss xai or new microsoft intelli or ss ikari or ss kana(btw kinzu is a small 1 too).
2012-09-16 07:15
new microsoft intelli ?? dafaq :P
2012-10-31 09:58

The model that i can recommend from own use are the deathadder,ec1 evo,xai and ikari optical/laser(i prefer the optical) i have all of the above and the ime3.0 and they all really resemble it in shape and feeling, specialy the da and the ec
2012-09-16 09:34
I would definitely buy the DA but it's too expensive for my purposes. Besides, I don't feel like paying 60 for a mouse. The ZOWIE EC is about the same price and I have preference over the DA. #58 yeah. The Krait was a bit of a problem for me due to the size (lack thereof)
2012-09-16 10:36
ZOWIE EC Series,I bought it two years ago and it still works, I think it's the best choice for you if you used to play with Ie3.0 As for Deathadder,I had it once, and I can only tell you that it's not that good at that price
2012-09-22 05:08
Get G400 post PID 13333.
2012-10-29 18:03
You must go for G400... only mouse which is great but cheap.

If you can get the G400 at a decent price, at all means in my opinion get it!
2012-10-31 09:54
logitech g400 in that case, kinzu v2 might be good choice too if you dont mind slight acceleration caused by the sensor(Not sure if they have patched that ?).
2013-03-16 11:01
I also want to buy a new mouse and choose between IE 3.0, Zowie EC1 eVo, Logitech G400, I had SS Sensei, Razer DA 2013, SS Kana and I was not satisfied ... I want to try something better (SS is SHIT!)
2013-03-16 11:38
Get your hands on one of them before buying if that's possible. If not, go with the price. The ones you listed are perfect on paper.
