Typical capitalism, they want you to believe that hard work pays off but in reality it doesn't

What would you suggest then? That everyone should be lazy and get support for everything without lifting a finger? i arent think that tbh
2018-08-16 17:30
So like most of capitalist real supporters?

wat??
2018-08-16 17:33
Yeah, those who really support capitalism are lazy fucks cashing in money. They don't work hard for their money. Just look at Trump, hardcore capitalist. He got a lot of money from his father, just invested them. Never really worked hard for them. It's people like him that are brainwashing other to "work hard" because they will earn a lot of money from it

>Just look at Trump, hardcore capitalist. He got a lot of money from his father, just invested them. Never really worked hard for them. It's people like him that are brainwashing other to "work hard" because they will earn a lot of money from it weak argument
2018-08-16 17:39
You forgot to open the thread again. Weak argument != straw man argument It is a big difference en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man The Trump "argument" was an example of how it works in the real world. Just because it's true and doesn't fit your narrative makes it a bad argument

Then let's switch it. Just because it's true for your side of the story doesn't mean it's applicable on every situation thus weak argument
2018-08-16 17:45
On my side of the story? It's a fact that he has inherited a lot of money. It's not my opinion

And it's a fact that his story is not applicable for most supporters of capitalism yet majority of the western society support capitalism to some degree. What's your point exactly?
2018-08-16 20:30
My point is that the top 1% tells the other 99% that hard work pays off. But if that was the case the 1% wouldn't be the 1%.

2018-08-16 18:37
Trump is propably working more than 99,99% of people, its true that he got a lot of money by his father, but managment of Investments is a lot of work aswell
2018-08-16 18:47
Working on the golf course maybe?
2018-08-16 19:59
Trump works more in one week than you have in your life....
2018-08-17 02:34
Working on the golf course? I aren't think that

imo, he's wrong then i just wondered about what's the better solution than having capitalism
2018-08-16 17:39
You understand what capital in capitalism stands for? Nothing related to work.
2018-08-16 17:39

Norway rogueplayer
not directly per se, but it can be and it's often a correlation with work = profit thus capital
2018-08-16 17:44
often? In France (a country a lot of people would call socialist), less than 6% of the benefits go to workers. While 67% go to the shareholders. Now, tell me how you can use "often" ? slideplayer.com/slide/2329949/8/images/6..

You can't argue against the fact that the workers actually worked and made profit for the shareholders thus creating capital in the shareholder's favor. In return, the workers get a consistent access to a work place and safe and reliable income for their efforts. It's an organization and it's based on a hierarchical system... is there a problem?
2018-08-16 17:53
Are you describing the slavery right here?

I'm describing you the real world and how it operates. No one should be equal, it wouldn't work at all, it's not in our nature and it will never be. However equal opportunities and equal rights is a human right.
2018-08-16 18:00
you understand that between 1% of top people as rich as 40% of the bottom people and 100% equal there is a pretty large field of possibilities? As about equal opportunities I won't waste my time responding it.

I don't understand what you're trying to say >As about equal opportunities I won't waste my time responding it You don't support equal opportunities and equal rights? Because I do and it should be a given in this world, but that doesn't mean we should end up with equal results imo. Do you catch my drift here?
2018-08-16 18:07
You can't have equal opportunities in our world. Anyway that a subject you came up with with any relation to the main topic. So I won't go further on this in this thread. Feel free to create one dedicated to this if you want to.

Capitalism requires efficiency, efficiency is achieved by the balance of work and rest
2018-08-16 17:30
The argument every capitalist always use is that "hard work pays off" but that's not true at all. Hard work pays of for the 1% because they will make a lot of money if you work hard, but you will not be rewarded for your hard work
2018-08-16 17:33
Most of the 1% money doesn't come from work what are you talking about?
2018-08-16 17:36
1% money? LUL What are you talking about? When referring to the 1% it's commonly used to refer to the top 1% richest in the country/world etc. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_are_the_99%25
2018-08-16 17:38
Braindead. Isn't it easy to play a victim and blame inequality as the problem that took you down when you're an actual lazy motherfucker?
2018-08-16 18:42
> RealCommunismHasNotBeenTested > Lazy Choose one
2018-08-16 19:58
Let's just say everyone I know who works hard for a living really doesn't want communism. Why would ANYONE work hard in a communist country? Just do the bare minimum to not stick out and hope for the best. Otherwise you are just working 10x as hard so that someone else can sit on their rear.
2018-08-17 03:08
He's a retard and he is definitely trolling because noone can be that dumb and have no common sense at all
2018-08-17 07:50
Why would anyone work hard in a capitalist country? The 1% just abuse the system and you won't get any richer

Luck is a factor in all walks of life. Skill only takes centre-stage when the factor of skill is higher and more probable then luck.

Exactly, if you put in no effort to get good at something then luck will be a huge factor. But for people that are highly skilled luck is just a small factor in comparison.

2018-08-16 18:46
You gotta figure out way more than just a single magical word that turns your life upside down. That's what I mean, it's nonsense. It appeals to human mind to give hope that answer could be something so simple.
2018-08-16 18:48
its not a word
2018-08-16 18:48
Oh please, now we're not going to talk in human language anymore?

If you are here it is become that lucky son of a bitch that went first at the ovum race. He didn't worked more than others, he was just more lucky to pick the good path and more gifted due to his lucky genes distribution. So please, bitch please, you had as much luck as any other.

if you spend 100 hours thinking how to improve your work, it will pay off way better than working hard for 100 hours and doing all the tasks the same way
2018-08-16 18:13
Hard work that doesn't grant you more and better opportunities is just wasted effort.
2018-08-16 18:13
Well, you never gonna get lucky if you don't work for it. Luck is like 30% of the success.
2018-08-16 18:38
You could work your ass off for years and climb up the corporate ladder and still earn average money and live an average life meanwhile some rich kid of instagram gets 10 billion from his dad and some retards get a good job just because they have connections
2018-08-16 18:50
So, are you going to let that stop you from living a happy and successful life? Who cares what they have. You have the ability to make an amazing life for yourself.
