I think thats not a good long term solution. Now I admit I am not by any means a brazil expert but their government isnt as waterproof as might be necessary, huge favelas and corruption etc. Getting those things together should be the first, and by far, the hardest step. Only after can you effectively start to restrict gun laws. Doesnt mean other countries should keep loose gun restrictions.

Switzerland has 45.7 guns per 100 residents. Finland has 45.3 guns for every 100 people. Way more than any other EU country. Still these are the safest countries in Europe.

Please tell me how much ammo the average swiss has to those guns?

They also have better workers rights and social programs where people's basic needs are met (so they're happy) and they also have much better comradery. USA 120.5 guns per 100 people. 50% of which are owned by 3% of the population. Little paranoid.
2018-08-26 22:55
Are there stats for how many gun owners have multiple guns as opposed to just one?
2018-08-26 23:48
Also: japan has really strict gun laws, if people go insane they go stab people. It’s really hard to kill 5 people with knife. Then compare it to an automatic rifle. You have to be really retarded if you think that taking guns away from people WOULD NOT MAKE A SAFER SOCIETY.

Probably 40/100 are owned by the army. We don't have that many guns. It takes 1.5 years to get a gun permit.
2018-08-27 12:04
Well in Finland they actually hunt animals to eat or sell, they don't go around paranoid thinking they need to have gunns to be safe. Bad comparison.

So you mean based on your comparison that guns prohibit lethal violence. Allow these "humble" facts take your senses into reason. "Excluding most suicides, at least 15,549 people were killed by guns in the United States in 2017, according to data collected by Gun Violence Archive (GVA), a nonprofit organization that tracks media and law enforcement reports of shootings."

2018-08-26 23:01
the type of criminals in brazil who commit crimes using guns are not the same as those who commit mass shootings in us . also in usa there are (like in every country ) people who own guns illegally and will still own despite the law but on a smaller scale than in brazil ( e.g. gang members , dealers etc ) but not those are the problem with mass shootings . but you're russian and you're also stupid so its pointless arguing.

Sadly you can't compare a country such as Brazil with any country when it comes to gun control, the law enforcement, politicians, and other factors are far different. However, if you compared countries such as Germany and England to America (many similarities in government), you'd find they have far less crime than America and also happen to have a ban on the firearms that America allows... May not be a popular opinion, but I think a lack of gun control is a huge problem (In my case America). All these school shooters aren't buying guns from the black market, they're getting them from local stores... Any input from others would be cool too!
2018-08-26 23:08
+1 Gun is liberty right and there's a lot of data prooving that guns in good hands save lifes and reduce the homicides, my country is an example when the congress prohibited the guns in 2003 the homicides rates increased significantly, good people are dying everyday in hands of thugs and maniacs, without a chance to defend theirselves, and I don't even have to proove just open Liveleak or wathever else to see that. USA has a problem with their society psychologically speaking ban guns will not solve that, and they should let armed people and security guards in the free gun zones because every shooter choose to commit their terrorist attack in places where there is no guns!
2018-08-26 23:33
World memyselfandI
+1 As long as the government can point guns at you, you should have the right to point guns at them. Militias used to have this job, so governments didn't piss everywhere they please. Militias gone, and the government does piss everyfuckingwhere they please, as they face no real tangible consequences. Gun control is a double edged sword. Think twice before you support it if you are a pacifist.
2018-08-26 23:23
The only valid option imo talking about gun control is a slightly control. USA government should create a document/permission like the Driver Licenses for those who want guns, they have to pass through a psycho test and do a basic shooting training and self defence training, those carrying guns without that license are running illegally!
2018-08-26 23:45
World memyselfandI
Gun control is nothing but symptom treatment. It fixes nothing. It's the reasons for killing which needs focus, rather than the method used (weapons).
2018-08-26 23:19
+1 gun control people will forever ignore this. cuz it's not their agenda.
2018-08-26 23:23
guns do not kill people, monkey do. just saying
2018-08-26 23:52
Well guns are also banned in Denmark, in 2017 only 54 ppl got killed by gunshot
2018-08-27 12:15
But that is not correct. In 2017, only 54 people got killed by anything crime related (here including gunshots). But this is mostly fights/knifes and other crimes which covers most of the killings. So not really correct, get educated. - WellEducatedMan

At least immigrants arent raping americans. Better you solve ur problems first, then u think about being an anti gun boi
2018-08-27 16:37
Why are you talking about rape Mr. Magnotta?
2018-08-27 16:51
the thing that gun advocates don't understand, because they're all fucking retarded, is that banning guns isn't a "quick fix" that will instantly solve the problem. the guns are still in circulation, the gun culture is still there, even with mass confiscations people will look towards illegal ways to get guns because they don't feel "safe" or whatever. after banning guns, it will take many, many years before actual change can be seen, and maybe a whole generation or more before the problem can be seen as somewhat fixed. not only the guns have to go, the culture and attitude needs to change, the way the institutions of law & politics combat gun crime needs to adapt and evolve, and all that takes time. gun nuts can't think that far ahead though, just like climate deniers. they're a special bunch of dumb sheep

I agree with most of things

Poland MAGA2020
i wouldn't call 'gun culture' a problem as actual firearm enthusiasts rarely commit mass shootings
2018-08-27 13:43
you're misunderstanding. gun culture is not NRA whackos with five ARs who jerk off at the shooting range, it's being able to walk into wall-mart and walk out two minutes later with a hand gun. it's mentally unstable teenagers being able to walk into the bed room of any of their relatives and grab a gun from the closet. it's grown ass people thinking that the only way to feel safe is to have a fire arm with them that shit won't just go away as soon as a new law is made, but without the law things will NEVER change
2018-08-27 13:52
United States Trump2020KAG
guns stop guns. Idiots/thugs/gangbangers/mentally ill/psychos ruin guns not LEGAL gun owners. Compare stats of crimes committed with guns by legal and illegal gun owners n I bet 95% of crime is committed by illegal gun owners.

"It is estimated that there are around 17 million firearms in Brazil,[6] 9 million of which are unregistered" "Brazil has the second largest arms industry in the Western Hemisphere. Approximately 80% of the weapons manufactured in Brazil are exported, mostly to neighboring countries; many of these weapons are then smuggled back into Brazil. Some firearms in Brazil come from police and military arsenals, having either been "stolen or sold by corrupt soldiers and officers.""
