MiBR at Zotac

United Kingdom Dimwit
Wow, didn’t play a single top 30 team. Shows the level of competition at this event and how shit it was for a Optic, could have been free money. Either way gg to MiBR, definitely not a good show of skill however

I didn’t say they did, but I’ve seen a few people saying that it’s super promising and that it’s a sign that the core of Fer, fallen and Cold are back. It’s not, they played bad opposition and won pretty easily. You’d expect most top 10 teams to do the same

'You’d expect most top 10 teams to do the same' [Insert 'you play yourself' meme] No one its saying that they are back, but this its a step in the right direction. U can even see FalleN doing the old 'sick plays' (Ik that its againts tier 3 teams) but u have to give him credit. Even better YnK was what MIBR need it. Now FalleN can focus on IGL'ing and his Awp skills and YnK can make new strats and new plays and not leaving all that charge to FalleN. Still im going to wait to Stockholm to see some 'real' competition.

Dude this is barely t3, individual plays for a team like MiBR shouldn’t really be accounted for when you’re playing this competition. And lots of people have been saying they are back, hence the thread. I think it’s a good win for morale, but unless they do well at Stockholm I’ll still be skeptical of this team

It's not because they're t3 teams, that you shall see many individual plays working... If you don't know, they biggest diference between teams is the strats and team play. The best player in the world might not even be a professional player.
2018-08-27 16:18
Na'vi lost to Tyloo in a best of 3 and they are ranked #2 in the world atm. hltv.org/matches/2323115/natus-vincere-v.. Not every team can have the level of consistency Astralis has, very few losses on LAN all year and always to a top 3 team in the world, you can't judge any team for having a bad match or playing easier opponent's etc also grow up it's just a game.

I don’t get your point. I’m just saying that this isn’t a sign that MiBR is the new best team, beating Flash, Kinguin and MVP isn’t exactly an impressive run. The difference is that Tyloo is a good team, unlike the teams that MiBR played. Finally what do you mean “grow up it’s just a game”? What have i said that’s immature, am I not allowed opinions on these topics?

Tyloo for sure would be rekted by MIBR on this tournament. About Tyloo be good, yep, I agree they aren´t weak, but Kinguin was in a very good form last weeks. All of us that follow lower tiers, know that Kinguin could upset Tyloo. But, I understand you. This tournament doesn´t mean that MIBR is back. We have to wait this DH now and Major to analyze better. But, it´s a light on the tunnel, bc MIBR before vacation probably would lose 1 map to Kinguin and suffer against MVP PK. They lost Cache 16-1 to Flash before vacation. Now rekt them on same map 16-1. This rekting results + bootcamp with tarik and YNk are hopes for the Brazilians/Americans superstars.

The weakest group of the tournament is Astralis´ group. However, yep, MIBR´s group is not so difficult, in theory. I only see HR causing problems to MIBR, besides Mouz. But can´t imagine HR beating MIBR on BO3. Hope to see a good game between MIBR and Mouz on posible winners´match.

Yeah that’s kinda what I mean. It seemed promising but at the same time a lot of it was based off of individual plays, which work better against T3 than T1

The thing I enjoyed most was the way they set up their trades and rotated quickly and stuff, really nice to see

World nakTriceps
The difference is that AVANGAR never shows something to let people expecting tier 1. MIBR was top1 for so many times and now has a better comms with tarik joining. Besides that, they really never had a coach, so this could be differential for them.

Avangar are currently 23-0 on games, mostly against pretty low competition like Flash or MVP are. By this logic Avangar would be T1 because they are destroying low level teams

Ok, so let´s do a comparison. Do you think AVANGAR would rekt all teams at ZOTAC in the same way MIBR did? If you believe on it, no reason for us keep on discuss about this.

World nakTriceps
Oh, what a teams, haha. Gambot is dead. Fragsters is worst than Kinguin. Ence a little bit above than Kinguin and Heroic is a team that woudn´t win a map against MIBR, probably. HR didn´t win against MIBR struggling on Moche XL Esports. MIBR won easily. Heroic = HR. So, no discussing.

Flash completely lack experience and haven’t done anything of note. MVP are terrible outside of the region and Kinguin are a joke run by a completely outdated IGL. How does MiBR’s wins against them mean anything?

 |
World nakTriceps
Kinguin is one of the better teams of tier2/3 of Europe. Now that they were rekted, the speech changes. MIBR only made his job beating these teams. But it´s not the question. The question is that they totally rekted all of these teams after a bootcamp with YNk and tarik. These things don´t prove nothing, but let all of us curious about what they´ll reach now.
2018-08-28 15:44

 |
United Kingdom Dimwit
Kinguin are definitely not one of the better tier 2/3 teams. Just because they beat Ghost and Tyloo doesn’t make them any good. They are middle T3 at best. I have no idea what this MiBR team will achieve, but it’s stupid to assume they will do well off of the back of some wins against terrible teams

You wasn´t following Kinguin, so. They were in a good form. I´m talking before this tournament. ZOTAC only showed that it´s real. Imperial, Valiance, Windigo. Kinguin was, at least, on same level these teams before ZOTAC. And proves this on it.

Look at this matches on May this year. MIBR (SK) already with stewie (team totally struggling) and boltz. hltv.org/matches/2323052/avangar-vs-sk-a.. hltv.org/matches/2323126/sk-vs-avangar-s.. MIBR won so easily against AVANGAR in both ocasions. And it is with stewie struggling and boltz.

That MIBR is old, too. With boltz, worst comms and without coach... This MIBR probably would win 2-0 against AVANGAR.

That’s not my point. I’m saying that the idea that just because MiBR can beat some shit teams they are amazing is completely ridiculous. By that logic Avangar would be T1

AVANGAR don´t show nothing, yet, like I said. MIBR is not amazing, they have to prove next tournament. But this hopes for BR/US stars are that they already prove their potential. All of them are Major champions, AVANGAR is nothing, yet. MIBR doesn´t play with coach for years. So with all of that, it´s normal to hope that they are coming to a new phase.

You’ve ignored everything I’ve said. My point is that this win doesn’t show much because they didn’t play anyone of any note. It’s a decent start and will increase the morale of the team, but it doesn’t mean that this team is going to be successful. It’s all going to be down to how they do against decent competition at Stockholm and the Major
