wrong, sauber have just been making a really noticable progress. leclerc is overhyped, he's been outraced by Ericcson 6 times this year
2018-09-11 11:40
They made a progress? OK, let me get one thing straight, the other Teams like Williams are SHIT. Therefore Sauber made a "progress". They're no more last because other Teams took a step back. Leclerc isn't overhyped, he won everything in the junior classes.

Idk what "teams took a step back" mean, Sauber developed their car better than their competition, and yes leclerc is overhyped because like I said above he's been outraced by Ericcson 6 times this year. A ferrari-caliber driver with so much "talent" as you proclaim him to have should have bodied his teammate

raikkonen won't slow down cause this deadass Vettel can't run faster. + Raikkonen's fault if Vettel gets overtaken by Hamilton in turn 2 of the first lap then try to push him away but get himself in last place cause failed .
2018-09-11 12:46
Raikkonen's fault if he defends against his own teammate who is actually in the WDC battle. I think part of the reason why he's leaving is that his ambitions clash with the role that he HAS to take so Ferrari can beat Mercedes. He will probably have more fun in Sauber where he can fight whoever the fuck he wants and not risk throwing away his teammate's and team championship.
2018-09-11 13:07

 |
Korea DadaDahyun
Raikkonen must be so happy indeed , Mercedes will secure #1 place for 2-3 next seasons and Ferrari has a young prodigy but will fight for #2 place
2018-09-11 15:10
Leclerc will probably force Vettel to prove that he's the #1 driver. The 2019 season will (IMO) be a test for both Vettel and Leclerc because apart from 2014 Vettel has never experienced a proper team rivalry in F1 and although I don't know what Ferrari's plans are for Leclerc I think they should consider letting him show whether he could be a #1 driver in the future. Especially since the 2021 rule changes could see multiple drivers and teams leave. Edit: and that also means that unless Mercedes is not competitive in 2019-2020 Ferrari is unlikely to win either WDC or WCC

wat, I think you need to remember 2009-2013 for Hamilton.. his car wasn't near the best in any of those seasons. Vettel is a good driver but he was gifted his titles by having a very mediocre teammate in Webber and a Newey-designed chassis that was leaps and bounds ahead of everything else on the grid.. Vettel's teammates for most of his career have been Webber and shit-era Raikonnen.. Hamilton beat Alonso as a rookie

absolute retarded comment. lewis deserved the mclaren seat, he won all the junior formulae convincingly and there was an available seat. he showed it by matching your goat in his rookie year, mclaren basically throwing his title away. lewis did not have the best car for 5 or 6 years until 2014, when he had a good teammate also unlike vettel who had full team backing, then got shown up by ricciardo.

Your question should be what is the GOAT car and then you just have to pick the guy that drove it. F1 is rigged and is not even a sport. The basic rule of any sport is that you should compete on equal basis with other competitors, wich is not the case. Just a sad spectacle overall.

yeah, but moving teams each year and making sure you're number 1 driver in the best car. this is the issue with f1, you cannot compare era's. i do not dispute fangio is the greatest of the 50's era.

With few exceptions like Senna and Prost in 88/89, Piquet and Mansell back in Williams in the 80's, Hakkinen and Coulthard at Mclaren, Hamilton and Rosberg in Mercedes, and others I don't remember, every world champion moved from team to team making sure they're number 1. I don't know how things were back in the 50's, but if you are saying so, then it must have been like that as well. Unfortunately people forget/don't know this.

Senna was by far the greatest driver - had he not died MSC wouldn't have won titles in 94 and 95. Currently Vettel has to be the greatest driver who's constantly been let down by Ferrari's stupid strategy, Mercedes' luck during Q3 and Hamilton's dirty overtake on Italy this year - which he didn't even get a penalty for...

schumacher won the first 3 races of 94 and senna dnf'd the first 3. 30 points to 0. senna wouldnt have won 94, but 95 easily and then 96 and 97 too so he wouldve been a 6 time champion
2018-09-12 17:00
That Williams car in 94 was really not great, if it was half as good as it was in the previous years Senna and Schumacher would have had great fights... RIP legend

yeah 94 williams wasnt the best. hill had a great season to get back up to schumi. shame the 94/95 benneton's were illegal. f1 politics are abysmal
2018-09-12 17:38
He put the car on pole 3 times in a row in 94 and retired all 3 times (the 2nd time because he pushed too hard but he drove amazingly nonetheless). Lets not forget, the Williams was a LEGIT car and the Benetton was not. Damon managed to win 6 races with the Williams, losing the championship by a single point, so imagine what Senna could have done...

Ferrari has indeed been the worst team timing pitstops and whatnot, all starting from when Brawn actually left. Even in Alonso's era, Red Bull always had the better strategy. Same as now, Merc always > ferrari.

"Sat at home with the television broadcast, F1.com’s timing screen and, of course, the F1 Fanatic live blogs, it’s easy to keep on top of the race strategies." Because there are no different ones. Nice fail 'source'. But whatever, you probably weren't even watching from 1998-2006 and don't know what proper F1 is.
2018-09-12 17:27
whatever dude there were reasons why it got banned and i agree with them
2018-09-12 17:30
You didn't name any, linked only a site who said it would increase strategy, which is ridiculous. The only thing you said so far is that you 'agree', and never explained to me why refueling is bad. You're arguing like a 10 year old and have no idea what you're talking about. Good day, retarded muslim.
2018-09-12 17:35
refueling ban improved the safety of the drivers and the pitstop team, dont have to say more. get lost now i dont want to write a book about why it was a good decision especially not when youre the only one reading it

Ayrton Senna was on average more than 1 second faster than Alain Prost in qualifying when they were teammates at McLaren. Remember back then reliability in the races were very random. With todays reliability Senna would have walked all over Prost.

Ayrton Senna was the best driver overall, in terms of raw skill, speed and hability in race. Would have won more championships for sure. Top 1 for me. Alain Prost was the most intelligent driver, 'cause he knew exactly what to do to win or keep the leadership of the championship without taking risks, but he was not as fast and good as Senna. Nigel Mansell, forgotten by everyone in this topic, was the FASTEST driver in F1, alongside Senna, losing a couple of championships because he was dumb and crazy, driving like there's no tomorrow. He was incredibly fast (maybe faster than Senna), but not complete. Michael Schumacher was the most succesfull driver, but that does not mean he was the best, despite being a very complete driver, fast and smart. Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are the only drivers right now that compare to those which I just mentioned above. Maybe Vettel too. It's a shame that Fernando Alonso didn't won more titles. But Senna is clearly above everyone, for me.
