RAIKKONEN TO SAUBER
 |
Slovakia itsab8
If Seb doesnt win the WDC this year, him and Charles will be under immense pressure to deliver next year. Sauber improved a lot since last year, will be interesting to see Kimi in there for 2 seasons, he also has part ownership of the team. Damn (start of) 2019 will be interesting.

i dont get this move, id rather have him retire. There is no point for a legendary driver to drive for fucking SAUBER.

Why just dont stop when you are at the best team? shouldnt be fun to drive for shit positions. i really wish he retired, this is a dumb move to me. I wont care how he does at Sauber.

Cuz he loves to drive and hates the PR around it. So shittier team = less PR
2018-09-13 12:53
you're projecting he can do whatever he wants, it's still an F1 car and it's still competitive just because you are insecure about it (for whatever reason lmao) doesn't make it an issue

its not competitive. I dont care about freaking sauber. 2nd worst car on the grid for the top5 driver in the grid is just boring. He doesnt deserve to drive for Sauber.
2018-09-13 12:56
he's not competing for podiums but he can still compete for points so few drivers actually get to win in this sport, there's more to it than that imo

Also, would make sense to give the seat for a younger talent, since his career is coming to an end.

2016 they had 76 points. 6th in constructors. 2017 they went backwards and had 30 points. 2018 they have 52 points and are 6th in constructors. So they had VERY similar results in 2016 compared to 2018.

Is there a point on alonso driving mclaren and saving their ass of last position every single race ? Well raikkonnen will try to do like alonso

I heard he got a offer for one more year in ferrari thanks to the new owner or whatever =P
2018-09-11 12:18
Hes probably ultra rich already anyways and he had some family problems, imo he should just retire and try to fix that and live happily

Yeah but he does not do it for the money. He does it becuase he loves the sport. Thats why i like Kimi. If he did it for the money he would have not joined Sauber and retired.

people tend to overhype Vettel cuz of his RBR times, he had crazy tech advantage with RB6 and 7 that made him look soo good
2018-09-13 12:40

I just hope Leclerc won't be the second driver. Ferrari will try to push him into that position, but I hope he won't let that happen. And I don't think it's a bad decision by Räikkönen to go to Sauber. He still has good pace and this just goes to show that he actually loves the sport. Otherwise he would have retired.
