I wouldn't for 1 reason - no fucking motherboards available anywhere. 1155 socket is dead The CPU is pretty good for its age though

yes but playing on high makes no difference to fps because hes limited by cpu, not graphics card
2018-09-11 22:55
that depends!

depends on how much load is put on gpu vs cpu 970 is more than enough for csgo so most of the load is on the old cpu, thus changing graphics settings makes no difference

i think that a 1050ti, gtx960, (maybe gtx970) is perfect for you.

I have no idea of gpu prices in the USA, but a gtx690 for only $50 is really good deal for me. Impossible to find something so powerful at this price in here.
2018-09-11 23:15
+1 the cheapest gtx 690 I found here is like 150$

The 690 deal was really a once in a blue moon thing for me. I was buying a GTX 770 off of a guy and he offered me a 690 and I lowballed him. So I payed $120 for a 770 and a 690. That's why I say get a 770 or a 680. 770's on Ebay can go for like $75

Back up rig is a 2400 that's been multiplier locked to 3.4Ghz on all four cores with the shittier of the GT 630's and it'll do 145 average on all low/off, high shadows, 1024 x 768.
2018-09-11 22:56
ty but what if I use integrated video card ?
2018-09-11 23:00
Expect 40 to be the peak at 720p. Averages will be in the low 30's in 5 vs 5.
2018-09-11 23:02
thank you m8
2018-09-11 23:03
what If I use a r5 230 ?
2018-09-12 02:34
Get a 750 Ti off of Ebay or something. OEM cards like that aren't worth the money to buy them when way, way better cards are only $20 more.

2018-09-11 23:04
If nonK u will get like 200to250 with anything better than gtx 770 With integrated u will get like 50fps And if u mean the K version u can still easily get 300with it
2018-09-11 23:03

2018-09-11 23:08
i5 2500k @ 4.7ghz doesn't bottleneck pretty much anything, so choose whatever you want
2018-09-11 23:10
ok ty
2018-09-11 23:11

For cs go enough, for other games not anymore
2018-09-12 02:40
Used a 2500k with a 960 GTX and got over 180 at all times (besides some shitty maps that they mostly reworked now though).

on native? I have 3450 and get high 200's. Maybe there was a big jump during those i5 generations
2018-09-12 03:03
Well, tbh its really up to your whole setup. My numbers where before I cleaned up my PC and reinstalled windows etc, so maybe I would have gotten more FPS under different circumstances. And nah, I played on 1280x1024 :D Dont ask, i know its a weird and uncommon resolution.

I have i5 2400 with Zotac GTX 1060 AMP! 6gb. FPS is 150-200 when playing 1600x900 @ 76Hz. When resolution dropped to 1152x864, I get 170fps minimum. All graphics settings are low. But AA is 4X.
2018-09-12 02:59
gtx 970 gtx 1060
2018-09-12 03:01
gtx970 + nice pcu ez 250-300 fps
2018-09-12 03:03
CS is CPU based game I believe
2018-09-12 03:15
Trash can at 2k18
2018-09-12 03:18
I had it with 1060 6GB I had some serious drops in community DM rest was always 150+ on almost max settings. PS: don't forget to replace the default Intel cooler if you haven't already, it's only like 20€ and it changes everything
2018-09-12 12:27
1050ti is cheap and good for cs (u need better cpu than gpu)
