NiKo potential as IGL?
Xyp9x |
Denmark Absolomon
NiKo called for FaZe last 3 games and they obviously won and got into legend stage. Right now he is making use of the structure that Karrigan has build for the team, but can NiKo make his own structure so they can have Karrigan be a hard support? This could also be one of the first tier 1 teams with 2 callers, 1 for start round (Karrigan) and 1 for midround calling (NiKo) (I know he already did something like this in mouz but his structure then was just "flash me in, I go kill")

Oh well I guess Niko is about to destroy faze :( Niaze? No dosent have the same charm as nikosports.
2018-09-17 09:58
Just like he destroyed mouz
2018-09-18 09:45

2018-09-17 09:20

2018-09-17 09:23
They play pretty much the same as they did in the past though

SK/mibr does this sometimes fallen/cold. one makes the strategy and the other help with mid game, mid round tactics

I think in most teams players has a impact on mid round, else it would be weird.

i guess so. I just meant that they had a system like that preplanned, not just spontaneous calling. maybe on some maps certain spots and roles make it better for another player to decide in that map, unless the igl wants to play there or something, idk

You might be right. I know in Astralis If someone has a Good Call they Will go for it. :p And i can only Imagine others having it like this

Yeah, would be great. Finn would become completely useless then, he's almost there by now so they should replace him quickly.
2018-09-17 09:26
Who should replace him??
2018-09-17 09:30
I'd consider Happy.
2018-09-17 09:32
Hmm, I haven't been impressed by happy in a while but maybe yes
2018-09-17 09:33
He's still capable. The arms still remember that action. It didn't go away. Just give him a chance and he will do.
2018-09-17 09:34
I hope we can see Happy back in new french team soon, not sure he would work in FaZe (english language, and other team-personality than envyus) but hope he will be back
2018-09-17 09:39
I hope for the same. I wish he will and soon!
2018-09-17 09:43
niko already lurking most of the rounds so they dont need another lurk. this is NBKs return.
2018-09-17 10:55
Happy is not remembered for his lurking, he's the most prolific leader from France and also a very good individual player.
2018-09-17 11:20
this is true but this does not mean he wasnt a lurker. ppl dont call him the biggest baiter for no reason. and baiting is lurking to some degree.
2018-09-17 11:31
It was his style and if NiKo does lurk indeed, will not matter for Happy does it better anyway. And I was talking about IGL role so they would figure that out in the process.
2018-09-17 11:31
true. true. i still could see them picking someone else over happy. idk what happy is looking for tbh. nbk seems more likely since he stated that he wants to go international.
2018-09-17 11:35
Sure thing, I just like Happy and want all the best for him.
2018-09-17 11:39
a legend. he has been absent for too long. i agree.
2018-09-17 11:56
Maybe one day, we'll hear about him and see him on the spotlight but until then we should accept the raw reality.

A part of me thinks that one of happy's biggest problem is with the french scene. He's been shit talked a lot in the french scene and often without justification. I'd be curious to see how well he could do in a completely different team environment.
2018-09-17 10:12
Happy :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD OMEGALUL
2018-09-17 09:51
Yes, him.
2018-09-17 09:56
0/8
2018-09-17 10:03
What a great reply.
2018-09-17 10:04
They don't need him + he sucks. Better...?
2018-09-17 10:09
Didn't say they do but he'd be a great addition over karrigan.
2018-09-17 10:17
They have literally tons of better options
2018-09-17 10:48
*cough* NBK *cough*
2018-09-17 10:56
Not really. If we're talking about IGL switch, there's not many really.
2018-09-17 11:19
He is outdated as hell. Kio showed much bigger potential with same players. Also I would rather keep niko as caller and pick another decent fragger and good coach instead of happy anytime
2018-09-17 12:23
Still 0/8
2018-09-17 10:09
any other good IGLs open for business? i arent think that. maybe golden. KAPPA
2018-09-17 11:44
Niko with decent coach/kio or even karrigan are better options than happy...
2018-09-17 12:44
hahaha russian peanut brain
2018-09-17 10:49
Nobody asked you kid. Stay quiet if you can't stay sane over people's opinions.
2018-09-17 11:19
if niko is the IGL now, what karrigan was still doing in this line up?
2018-09-17 09:27
He is still a pretty strong fragger with a great mind for the game. Who would replace him?

All the stand-ins ruined it for Karrigan, hard to take a team serious with that kind of shit going on.
2018-09-17 09:27
+1, think he has played a long time with no pressure because of standins. Now that he has full team he is kinda crumbling

I doesn't matter who calls. They have no chance against astralis

lmao +1
2018-09-17 09:31
like iem with a stand-in? ;)
2018-09-17 09:34
Faze got way worse since olof came back and astralis got way better

Astralis got way better? Tf are you talking about, they lost to fucking NIP
2018-09-18 08:11
Yes astralis got way better. There's a reason why they have 1000 points in the ranking. More than twice what faze has

They went from winning events flawlessly to losing to NIP.. such an upgrade
2018-09-18 17:08
I'm not sure if you're trolling or if you're legit retarded but a bo1 map is not how you determine how good a team is. Astralis's current lead in the ranking is the biggest lead ever. But nice try!
2018-09-19 08:34
Nah just remove karrigan, get krimz so you have the dynamic duo of olof and krimz back and niko is igl
2018-09-17 09:37
Yes please, and Krimz would probably say yes since fnatic is kinda shit rn
2018-09-17 09:39
Exactly
2018-09-17 09:40
Would do
2018-09-17 09:53
Then im wondering why bot karrigan is still there? :) hes not a fragger nor igl then?? Kick ploxx
2018-09-17 09:48
He can be support tho
2018-09-17 09:53
Is that what they need atm?? Theyre barely winning vs t2/3 teams..look astra 16-0 mibr if faze is such a "superman" team why are they so shit...they need krimz&olof duo tbh and then i guess they can run over everyone
2018-09-17 10:03
We havent seen a lot from them with niko as igl
2018-09-17 13:52
This was enough proof hes better than bot karrigan : ) Just -him already
2018-09-17 14:44
Probably.
2018-09-17 14:48
No
2018-09-17 09:53
I don't think niko can be igl in long term
2018-09-17 09:59
+1 cuz he tilts sooo fast is like kennys igl, not longterm business
2018-09-17 10:04
he was igl in mousesports

definitely not longterm change in igl and calling brings some fresh air. i guess its another honeymoon phase. niko hasnt got the leadership skills imo. - karrigan + i dont know

This could also be one of the first tier 1 teams with 2 callers, 1 for start round (Karrigan) and 1 for midround calling (NiKo) this happen in many teams since cs exits but ok bro

Well the thing is that NiKo doesn't want to call with somebody, I'm sure they can help him outside the game but ingame having two callers could get pretty messed up.
2018-09-18 08:10
That would be a terrible idea, Niko having to IGL, even if he wants to (he clearly lacks self-insight and is very arrogant) would take away from his fragging. While he still would be a good player, he wouldn't be at the level that is expected of him. I really hope they keep Karrigan as IGL, because he can actually call strats and be a proper leader. While Niko maybe can call some basic scrim strats built around himself making plays. If they want to achieve any success against actual good teams they need a real igl.

just cause they have temporary success doesn't mean niko will be good permanently as an igl. remember, when niko was leading in mouz, he didn't know how to use nex properly as a star player, put the supports in better position, and no teamwork at all.
