elemeNt, the best IGL in history
 |
Malaysia ez4harimaumuda
I think elemeNt, is the best in-game leader in the history of counter strike. He went to 10 different teams at one point and managed to mold them into better teams. He was the founding father of Norwegian cs, nurtured the Brazilian scene, helped the German scene, was integral to the Swedish scene most notably SK 2003, tried to help both UK scene and NA scene then to finish off won everything with an international line-up for the first time with two continents.

side note, XeqtR was IGL for NoA, which was the best team ever. elemeNt was a huge part of that team though. method was the best player on that team IMO. But yes, elemeNt on SK/GoL/MYM/eoL etc, he is one of the goats

ah hell nah. 3 members of eoL were on NoA though. XeqtR,elemeNt,Naikon. Like I said though, method best player on NoA and they won CPL 04 with big odds against them after a bullshit flashbug dispute sent them to the lower bracket

There were issues with wanting to be with family etc. since 3 of them were Norwegian playing/practicing primarily in the U.S. As you remember though method and shaguar stuck together as a package joining 3D. Method continued to be the best player for 3D as well, one hell of a player.

Those were they days, felt so much different to be a fan. Probably because I was younger. Loved watching SK| and NoA. Easily my 2 favorite teams of all time. shaGuar - elemeNt - XeqtR - HeatoN - Potti - SpawN Top 6 favorite players.

+rep for the veterans, im not that old (26) but i still remember those days! I can imagine how fun and how many lans there must have been in the US, here not so many but still we played the hell out of it in internet caffes! Since the first time I got internet i started following the pro cs scene and was always fascinated by it! too bad it never took off here.

The second NoA lineup, which you’re referring to, began to break apart when element left for Mibr. They practiced online and bootcamped before tournaments, they continued to live in their respective countries - it was nothing to do with living and/or primarily playing in the US.

cs 1.6 isnt tactical like csgo at all. If you really followed the scene you should know.

CS 1.6 was tactical, but by no means as tactical as CSGO. That, however, you could argue is due to the different grenade physics and throwing mechanics, alongside smokes that work and the introduction of mollies/incens.

CSGO basics are full tactical, sure 1.6 have strats but isnt tactical, was all about firepower. That not such a think like: lets buy out this great support or IGL. if the guy shoots hell they fit any function and thats it

Yes, it was tactical. You’re an idiot. Furthermore, only last week was an interview with Gob B discussing how CSGO is going through the cycle that 1.6 went through - aimpower, then heavy to tactics, then a reliance on star players before the approach to the game being a mixture of star players and tactics. I would get you a link but you’re a clown. It was with Banks, find it yourself.

Mad kid, can't arguing without insulting. I follow and watch since 2004 until 2009 the scene, and isnt tactical at all. Gob b are delusional if he thinks that. No one runing around the map and shooting of course but isnt the level of tactical csgo are.

Insulting you? By calling you an idiot? Hahahah, wow, you’re sensitive one aren’t you. Your final sentence summarises that 1.6 had tactics but not on the sameness level of CSGO. So you agree with what I’ve already said. Nice one.

Im just finding time to talk about past players. Why do you have to call me out on it and act like a douchebag to those who never met him before? Is it wrong to talk about past players? What does it give you the right to have only you to talk about them old players just because you were there.

I haven’t started talking about them. Secondly, your prose post is as if you’re trying to impart your knowledge upon the social inepts of HLTV. Yet you’re regurgitating information you’ve garnered from watching a video or two. Next you’ll be claiming you’re a former 1.6 pro too...
2018-09-21 10:55
I didn't watch a video or two, I read about his history and listen to thorin's podcast, and that wasn't this year that was years ago. Also his name comes up a lot in frag movies and old CPL VODs from NoA vs SK, NoA vs EYE and MYM vs fnatic back in the days of old gotfrag so I was interested to know how many teams he actually been to and what made him do what he did. I know he had a lot due to people always talking about him before but I wanted to know the chronological order and how he went into these teams. Whether I regurgitated or not it doesn't matter, the point of the post is simply to let others know and let the older fans reminiscence about him and contribute what it was like before.

Anyone else remember 12 round halves and when save rounds meant running out the time inside upper B tunnels with your glocks out... Lol. You actually got money for running out the time T side at the time. Also no commentary during games, you had to wait for the CPL video to come out.
