Hey, when I get close to walls or I just move in a specific way my game feels stutery even tho var is sorta low, are there any good 2018 guides to optimize csgo at it's best ? I got a 8700k, 16gb ram at 3200mhz, and a 1070ti. ty

If you had 500 fps, this wouldn't be a problem

My CPU is like automatically overclocked at 4.4 ghz

I wanna get a solid 400/500 fps if possible on 128t servers.

The more fps you have, the more smooth you aim will go, even without good monitor

That wont do anything, csgo feels the same on 200 and 500fps, not a single difference, unless you have 240hz monitor, then you need 240+fps all the time

Do you play on 60hz
2018-09-20 19:45
144
2018-09-20 19:45
So basically 144fps feel like 120fps
2018-09-20 19:47
SAME for me
2018-09-20 19:46
Isnt' just the regular screen tearing?
2018-09-20 19:46
cs go optimize
2018-09-20 19:46
throw that pc away
2018-09-20 19:46
Do you have 2 monitors with different Hz? Like ur secondary monitor is 60/75hz and ur main monitor is 144hz?
2018-09-20 19:49
i do, is this a problem?
2018-09-20 23:36
it can be, because windows 10 cant properly refresh 2 monitors at different refresh rates, so on some computers it just wont work, therefor u will get that it feels like ur computer is lagging. Try to plug out ur second monitor, restart ur computer and see if its still laggy

utilitybox [dot] org/autofixer try that, maybe disable High Precision Event Timer (HPET) in bios. Clean PC software and hardware. Uninstall GPU driver and try a old one where you know you had no problems(6 months ago whatever)

Happened the same to me. Inside closed corridors, standing still I got 350 fps and just by pressing W it instantly drops to 150 and u can feel the drop. I tried changing the resolution and it seemed to do the trick for the moment, but I have to check it again propperly. I'm under Windows 7 btw.

nice monitor

Remove -high and -threads from launch options, disable hpet, and check if cpu is overheating, therefore throttling down the clocks. Sometimes lower clocks will help, 8700k without serious water cooling will stitter even on turbo speeds

Sudden FPS drops can occur due to many reasons. One reason can be 2 monitors refresh rate conflict(written by EMIlarrr). Other can be high temps or screen tearing. What is the refresh rate of both monitors, maybe refresh rate are different and screen tearing is occurring cause of that . If you can provide more details maybe some one can help you out. P.S Use app such as HWMonitor to keep an eye on temps and volts. Maybe it will point out the issue.
