I have my doubts. But so many things make sense. No blood at the scene -- NONE! All 9 of the bullet holes in the car door and they claim 9 shots were fired yet one hit Suge's head? All the messaging and parallels.
The main take away I get from the series (which I already had before on my own) is that the public was played to think these gangsta rappers from the late 80's and early 90's were not "real" people but were paid agents whose sole purpose was to sell a depraved and immoral message to the masses. I'm 39 and grew up during this era and personally experienced the negative effects of gangsta rap. My friends and I thought we were real and did much "dirt". We would listen to the hardest songs to get us pumped on the way to a fight or whatever. Gangsta rap had a huge negative influence on millions of innocent souls during the 90's. We thought we were real and being true men but really we were being stupid and acting out in ways that would ultimately harm us. I even remember plotting murder on people in these days. Thank God my friends and I never followed through, but we took our inspiration from the music we had made our anthems.
For people today who didn't grow up with this music it's weird and I get that. But in the 90's when you were a teenager this music was real life to you. You thought it was instructions for life and how to deal with people. I can't even confess online the crap I know and witnessed during the 90's because we were all brainwashed into the gangsta rap image.
I don't know your age but if you didn't live through that era It's hard to hear it now and relate. It really was a different world then. We didn't have social groups, social media, etc. we lived on the streets and our code came from our influences which for most in the 90's came from gangsta rap. Nigga's was wild! Let me tell you dude. I punked more people in life than I ever had to fight. And for me I felt like DMX -- because I scared a nigga that much. I've long outgrew those days, but I still remember them clearly. So, when I watch something like the 2pac hoax channel, I relate and get where they are coming from, because I lived it.

Have you watched the 2pac Hoax revealed channel on youtube? It has some interesting stuff. One of the main points throughout the videos is how in the late 80's rap was taken over by the industry and they started to promote gangsta rap. Up until the late 1980's most rap wasn't promoting violence, drug use, abuse of women, etc. Then it all changed with the introduction of NWA and others. By the early 90's conscience rap was dead and gangsta rap had taken over.
There are still a lot of conscience rappers though.

Well, there has always been a lot of conscience rappers even during the 90's. I'm just saying that gangsta rap took over in popularity. You are right about it starting on the west coast. It didn't take long for it to hit the east as well. I remember this time well because I lived it. I was born in 1979 and started listening to rap in the 80's when Run DMC were big. Then it was MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, etc. I think Dr Dre's the Chronic album was my first real taste of gangsta rap. Then I was hooked. All my music changed over to gangsta rap and I no longer cared about clean rap. When you are young you think it's cool. It wasn't until 2000 that I started to expand my music taste when I heard TOOL for the first time and became obsessed. Now today I mostly listen to indie folk lol

Yeah if you look back on those years, the only rap albums which hit platinum are the gangsta rap ones.
I loved gangsta rap as a 7th grader and now I listen mostly to conscious rap :P

Rap is good, great. Some rap is too "gangsta" yes. But this trap thing is horrible. Just monkey noises, every song sounds the same.
Pretty much all pop music (by that I mean mainstream pop, rap, rock, country, etc) is absolute garbage if you're looking for any intellectual thought at all. But since when have the masses sought that kind of satisfaction especially in music? It's out there if you look, and the internet has made it that much easier to do.
