he asked for multitasking. needs more threads for that. 4 cores not enough to play a game and watch streams i have i3 6100 2 cores 4 threads and i have to close everyzhing in background or game stutters. thinking about getting i7 7700.
2018-09-21 23:32
but i7 has 4 cores 3 are just virtual

8 threads, virtual cores arent as good as real cores but very helpful with multitasking.

are they old? you can try to buy SSD, it should be faster then, also try cleaning your pc (mby even reinstall windows)

Is there any point of reinstalling windows if i would get an ssd?

if you buy a new SSD -->> MOST DEFINETLY reinstall windows. Guaranteed to fix almost any bugs or issues. Some stuff you can do meanwhile, which most likely won't work but will fix misbeheaving windows is: Run CMD as Administrator "sfc /scannow" This checks for ciritical windows files it needs
2018-09-21 23:24
reinstall windows, clean your pc or buy ssd

I think you should clean it out and buy an SSD and install Windows onto it if you haven't done so already
2018-09-21 23:06
If i would install windows on a ssd would that speed up my whole computer or would it just load up windows faster?

 |
Hungary Shiron212
if you install the most important stuff on it, it should speed up everything
2018-09-21 23:08
Ssd will load up windows faster and games will load up faster, but it won't speed your computer, it will just decrease load times of programs and games...
2018-09-21 23:14
ok, so a lot of people telling me to buy an ssd, What size do i get? Do i just need it for windows or do i install all my games on it aswell?

How much are you looking to spend to upgrade it is the question?
2018-09-21 23:10
I mean i could spend 100-200£. Do you think something like this would do me good? amazon.co.uk/Samsung-MZ-76E500B-EU-Solid..

250GB should be fine. You could upgrade to an ssd and more ram for pretty cheap. If your having trouble multitasking I would suggest more ram.
2018-09-21 23:19
250gb is not fine, you will fill it in notime with windows + a few games. Get 500GB always.
2018-09-22 12:19
Just get a 128gb for windows, you only need 8gb ram, btw maybe cpu is overheating

buy a 240gb one windows + games with loads of loading screens
2018-09-21 23:11
8 gigs of ram rly isnt sufficient thesedays, specially if ur browser has multiple tabs open, youd be surprised how much performance that can cost u..16gigs imho is minimum thesedays, with the new winblows..
2018-09-21 23:12
So what's better to get for me an ssd or 16gb of ram?
2018-09-21 23:13
Hands down RAM. Ur game wont get noticeable boost from an ssd!
2018-09-21 23:16
get a ssd bro it changed my life

your pc is fine if you are using win 10 maybe reinstall it cuz updates mess up the pc for some dumb reason
2018-09-21 23:14
Is there a way of reinstalling windows so that it wouldn't delete all my games?
2018-09-21 23:17
ye type in cortana or what ever is called reset this pc or go to settings>updates and security>recovery and you can chose what you want to save

2018-09-21 23:45
Ok so i reset my windows but im at work so i cant check if its still slow. If it is still slow do i get ram or ssd or both are needed?
2018-09-22 12:13
The parts are good the problem is not there.
2018-09-22 12:22
Maybe your Hard Drive is worn out, if it's not an SSD this happens very often. macrorit.com/disk-surface-test/disk-surf.. run that program it will scan your hd for bad sectors and if there are red squares you know that certain parts of your hd are damaged so just buy an SSD. Backup whatever you need to a USB or whatever like serial keys from windows/programs/documents) and just reinstall whatever Windows you have onto your new SSD. If you're not sure how to reinstall Windows let me know.

2018-09-22 13:23
Format your pc (reinstall windows) or (if some money available) buy a a decent ssd with about 120-240gb if you don't have one already and reinstall windows on the ssd and use it for your games/chrome.
2018-09-22 13:27
i got exactly the same setup and my problem is more or less the same as yours..i blame weak processor and my HDD

get more RAM or don't run too many programs at the same time. streaming via VLC player might use less RAM than streaming through a browser.. you won't get drops tho, if you watch the major via VLC
2018-09-22 19:45
I watched some youtube video and it went down to 50%
2018-09-22 19:59
download a new cpu and install more ram with ccleaner
2018-09-22 18:48
> run a game and watch a stream at the same time Who the fuck would do that at the same time? When you watch a stream - you don't play, and vice versa, so why to keep them both running? It's neother playing nor watching ffs.
2018-09-22 19:45
lol its called watching the stream when you're dead to check the score etc. You're clearly a 1 monitor fag who only can do 1 thing at a time :)

stop being a faggot towards me, i didn't say anything offensive to you you little cocksucker

2018-09-22 20:05
Run a game with MSI Afterburner's monitoring on to see what kind of figures you get, watch the temperatures, load % of GPU and CPU, if it looks really weird with no reason then format your PC and get a new SSHD or HDD or even SSD if yours is too old because for me it seems like a software issue, you can't just have this kind of setup (adequate build) and run like on a microwave. GL
