Do you think math is interesting? Im talking more about math trivia like numberphile channel. Not necessarily math in school.

yes, if i would understand it.

+1 ahahahahahah I'm shit at math.

ofc. Math is the ultimate language. Kinda sad how many people dislike it just bcuz they are stupid

Its not bcs you dislike maths that you're stupid..
It heavily depends on who teaches you maths and how they do and many other factors

Yes and I think it's the same with basically every subject in school.

Except foreign languages - had 4 teachers and still dull, and your own language like 8 teachers and still boring af. Like tbh I don’t understand doing your own language at school all we do is read hundred yr old texts and analyse why the writer uses a word and the “effect” on the reader. Sorry but when did anyone have emotion for imaginary characters that you can only picture in your mind. At least in movies you can see them

IT'S SO DUMB THAT THEY FORCE YOU TO READ CERTAIN BOOKS. FOR EXAMPLE, I FUCKING LOVE THE "REALISM" PERIOD IN LITERATURE BUT I HAVE TO READ SHAKESPEARE. THIS WAY THEY KILL THE INTEREST OF THE PERSON TO EVER TOUCH A BOOK.

Not really, math is harder and for me i had many teachers that werent good at explaining.

I meant that a subject tends to be more interesting if the teacher is good.

Teaching english is easy since English is all around us
Economy is not that hard to understand etc.. But maths... I remember teachers just writting things and explaining them in alien language xf

no you

flag checks out

+1

yes

nooooooooo

+1 XD

i LOVE HISTORY

No it's not it depends what you're studying tho
I hate maths but im studying electrical so im putting big effort on it..

lmao same

Yes. It is interesting .
0.1 + 0.2 = ?

Welcome to computing where floating numbers aren't stored well

math is interesting

6,
Srsly this is ez question unless your stupid

Is this a theorem? Does that mean I actually wrote: "Is this a theorem2+2x2"2+2x2

3+4x9=theorem quadroponius expeliarmus

math is fine i just hate chemistry and physics
so fucking retarded subjects + teacher is awful like leave me alone i can't do this

Physics is basically maths but applied to the real world, how can you be fine with maths but hate physics

Because he didn't learn from the beggining and now he doesn't understand.

i love algebra

The real man here, algebra best

it is interesting but i think other scientific subjects like chemistry or biology are way more interesting

For me, i just love that moment when you resolve a hard question.Nothing makes me more happy.

dont like it but im pretty good at it

yeah it's good for calculating butt size

for me, math is the only course i'm interested in.

no

asians love math

Not everyone bruh. Most people now tend to hate it or avoid it lol

TL;DR: Yes!
I absolutely love it (both in school and trivia), but even for me there are some less interesting subjects, for example combinatorics. I find it fascinating, because the original system of just counting thing was so simple, but through development it has turned out to be complex enough (no pun intended) to potentially describe our whole universe. I also love the ingenious ideas with which certain mathematicians came up with proves for certain problems, showing that there is a solution for incredibly difficult problems that can be described with an extension of our original, simple system. I honestly think that for a lot of people who dislike math the responsibility for that lies at the feet of the teachers. Even I thought that math was really boring depending on who I had teaching me. But well, I guess that applies to just about any school topic.

Yes, especially applied mathematics.

yes

I like math, its not hard as ppl says. Its just numbers, hard is phisics

"Its just numbers"
That´s not what real math is...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unsolved_p..
Real math can be way harder than physics depending on topic

Ok, its just symbols.

math in school is interesting if you go to the right school and have a good teacher.
math on youtube is a waste of time, just pay attention in school.

What if you want to learn more ?

not until you start learning life

Applied/discrete math + computer science = best & future
nuff said

fucking numbers everywhere

THEY TEACH ME SOMETHING I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE IT APPLIES AND WHY IS THAT BULLSHIT IMPORTANT FOR ME IF I HAVE NEVER EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT DOING SOMETHING SCIENCE RELATED. FUCK SCHOOL!

Math is the language of the universe. This is an old saying but it is so true. Math is amazing, if you understood how deeply it describes everything.
If you are interested here is a good youtube clip explaining the extroadinary capabilities of the human brain in understanding math:

Trivia isn't really interesting to me, but school stuff I learned in college was good and useful for a huge number of subjects, physics, programming, economics... people underestimate math a bit, it can help you a lot if you know how to use it. But as far as the more advanced stuff goes, sooner or later you're gonna get to a point where it becomes too abstract and then it's gg. Unless you are a genius,

yeah sure absolutely
and it's such a key part in our understanding of everything really
but in school, not really you are given things to do and just most of the time boring imo
but the math itself is interesting

it always depends on the person for me anykind of math was residentsleeper cuz i knew to become car mechanic i will not need any math.

I was never good at math after 6th grade. Just fries my brain like chicken

math is fun when it comes to numbers and equations
show me a field which is not prime, of characteristic 0 and is a subset of R and prove correctness of your guess
there's no need to hurry, i'll wait
