because they were absolutely monsters, csgo has evolved a lot since that time tho, when FalleN made it to the big stages he took to a different tactic level

SK/LG teams were never that tactical or atleats they weren't based around it and no not rly they just did have anyone to face them at the times they were at their best

LG was a tactical team compared to other rosters, that's where they made the difference

wut? LDLC, Envy, TSM (was considered their kryptonite mid-2015, beat them in multiple finals), na'vi, vp, nip, early luminosity, titan with peak kennyS (who they had trouble beating).
2018-09-24 03:53
but all of those teams ended up falling hard or the majority
2018-09-24 04:04
didn't fnatic also end up falling? doesn't mean they weren't good at some point. fnatic had to reinvent themselves many times, because the competition got the upper hand at times. fnatic first had super dominant ct-sides, then later in their era, developed good t-sides.

2018-09-24 10:21
LDLC, EnVyUs, TSM (now Astralis), NaVi, NiP, non-slumping VP, LG and C9 (2015 form)? how is that no competition lol
2018-09-24 04:34
oh and Titan
2018-09-24 04:34
The only team who had TACTICS was LG, the others were just raw aiming, Thats why LG/SK did something like 30 de_train maps in a row, because they were tactically unbeatable there ¿why? because they had a solid tactic, and the others hadn't.

liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Premier_Tou.. fucking look at it and say they don't have competition.it was the most competitive era ever.fnatic won 10 events, nv/ldlc won 8 events, tsm won 5 events, vp won 4 events, navi won 3 events. compare it to now?astralis won 5 events, navi 3 events... rest of the teams are terrible now.

Rest of the teams arent terrible, most of the top teams now would beat the top teams back then because CS is constantly improving and players and tactics and strategies keep advancing. Its just that the teams at the very top are more ahead of the pack right now than in that time period. Also are you just looking at big events or what? Because you named 30 events for 2015 and 8 for 2018...

dude 2015 teams will beat 2013 teams. 2017 teams will beat 2015 teams. 2018 team will beat 2016 teams. and 2020 teams will beat current top teams. it will always be like that.its because of changes in skill and form of players, csgo meta and tactic changes, weapon changes, mappool changes and so on. it will change always. there is no point comparing top teams from 2015 to 2018. compare top teams from 2015 to other top teams in 2015. similarly in compare top teams in 2018 to 2018.here we have only 2 good teams.astralis and navi.liquid is overrated, they didn't even won a single big event yet. all others are having bad form and roster issues. only teams who had stable roster is still in top like astralis, liquid and navi. all teams like fnatic, faze,sk,mouz, north etc are having issues and we are having weak top scene. that was not in th case in 2015. there were multiple strong teams.teams like tsm,vp,nip,navi,c9 were all gunning to win events.but there was fnatic and nv to stop them today don't have similar top level teams.only one is liquid and astralis is always stopping them.but in 2015,these teams also won big events like fnatic but fnatic were slightly better than rest. thts why fnatic have an era. also can't you count the number of top events in 2018?

Okay I'm glad you agree with me NiP and c9 really werent that strong they were talented teams that never fully realized their potential except at like 1 tournament each. Most of the teams you listed off had "issues" just like the 4-10 teams do now. Doesnt mean they werent still competitive teams. I can easily argue that 2018 Navi liquid faze mouz north BiG > the teams you listed. It's really no different in terms of competitive teams Like I said the only difference is that the top team is just so much better than the rest.

liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Premier_Tou.. nip reaching 5 finals is equal to liquid reaching 3 finals now. both didn't won any events. but the differenceis nip were the like 6th bast tean of that year while liquid is around 3rd best now. these top teams you listed is going in groups or not even qualifying for events at all.was that same in 2015? in 2015 top scene was stronger and t2 and t3 scene were weaker.in 2018 top scene is weaker and t2-t3 is little stronger. also what did big do to be on this list?take fnatic instead of big.

I'll concede the fact that the tier 1 scene is slightly weaker primarily due to the fact that the bar for a tier 1 team is MUCH higher due to the top teams being so amazing and that the tier 2-3 scene is wayyy better than back then for exactly that reason "these top teams you listed is going in groups or not even qualifying for events" Thats precisely due to the fact that there are so many great tier 2 teams that can upset. In reality there were only 4 real tier 1 teams at the end of 2015, same as now. The line between them is just much more defined. BiG made it to the playoffs of a major and the finals of ESL cologne and are also a pretty new team. Fnatic isnt even the same team they won with IEM I will add them because at one point they had a competitive roster but now they are clearly in shambles.

t2-t3 scene was terrible back then. there were more t1 teams and they were so strong that these small teams won't reach finals. strong teams also used to go deep in tournaments compared to now. if you look at hltv rankings, only astralis and navi have more than 500 points. every "t1" team called liquid is below 500. just look at th case in 2015, a lot of teams were top during that time.

It had nothing to do with the tier 1 scene being too strong. The tier 2-3 scene just wasn't as developed and talent got poached a lot easier because contracts were weaker and buyouts were small or nonexistent

Team LDLC.com/Team EnVyUs both defeated Fnatic and humilated them at Majors.
2018-09-24 06:00
They had by far most skill on their roster and they plowed over anybody. Nobody came close to them in that are tbh (TSM was beating them bcz karrigan was a good igl back then)
