stupid and unhappy? I thought headaches was the worst part about caffeine addiction.
2018-09-25 00:29
that was first symptom ye, thats over. Now i just feel mentally slugfish and unhappy. Caffeine gave a dopamine boost to brain, but nowadays i dont even feel like initiating conversation anymore
2018-09-25 00:38
How long did the headaches last? Just curious.
2018-09-25 00:50
first day so-so, second and third day very bad, then it gets better. But some people dont get them. For me, i think, caffeine stays longer in body (longer halftime) which is why i didnt get head ache first day, just felt tired. Would be smarter to cut down slowly imo like: normal 3 cups per day, then 2.5cups for 2 days, then 2cups for 2days etc...
2018-09-25 00:53
So did you just quit cold turkey then? I drink about 2 to 4 cups in an entire week, for me it has a very strong effect, but I don't drink it daily, so the tolerance levels are still pretty fucking virgin. :P

Take a cold shower in the morning

No excuses, it's not lack of caffeine making you stupid and unhappy, correlation=/=causation. Number of things before that. Do you have consistent sleeping schedule? Do you sleep properly? Do you exercise? Do you eat proper breakfast? What do you do in morning when you're at your mental and physical peak?
2018-09-25 00:39
i sleep like 2h more now 9h compared to 7h with 3cups per day. i sleep so-so but getting a hästens bed soon. I was jogging today didnt help, like 20min Morning? played one dota and did some hw and felt anxious af
2018-09-25 00:40
Too much sleep is bad. To me if I sleep more than 8h then I feel slow and low on energy. Idk, haven't done that for a long time so I don't recall the negative effects exactly. Anyway, that answer is more fit to my second question, because by shcedule I mean having consistency at what time you go to sleep and wake up. I don't mean jogging, but if you keep your body in shape. Because one of core reason for feeling tired is body beign out of shape. If your body is crap then you can't expect your mind to not be crap, because it's parts of the same system. The meantal peak in morning is the best time to do things that matters. Besides how you choose to spend your morning basicially sets up your mind for rest of day, It's incredibly important for how you spend your morning. You didn't mention breakfast. I know it's common to not feel hungry at all in morning, but getting proper breakfast basicially gives big energy boost for half of day. Choose to skip it and perhabs you run out of juice and start getting tired before the day is even started.

caffeine is good antioxidant, 2 cups of coffee per days is highly recommendable. it gives you energy, but as anything, can be harmful in big doses. Keep it normal and np
2018-09-25 00:41
caffeine doesnt give u energy lul
2018-09-25 00:53
It does, making your main arteries more relaxed, allowing more blood to come to the brain and heart, slightly increasing blood pressure. Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant that reduces fatigue, increasing motor coordination. All of that within 3cups max per day, which is daily recommended dose
2018-09-25 00:58
"Caffeine also increases the release of catecholamines (such as adrenaline) via the sympathetic nervous system, which among other things can make your heart beat faster, send more blood to your muscles and tell your liver to release sugar into the bloodstream for energy." caffeine just modifies the way ur nervous system works, caffeine itself doesnt give u energy

Liver releasing sugar is actually good, because all the remainings of sugar in the liver, makes the liver greasy and unhealthy and working harder than usual. Body areas where fat is most common (stomach, legs, ass) then takes the sugar, converting the excess into a fat which is the lesser evil. Adrenalin releases are small and irrelevant, because dopamine its being released wayy more, which is the positive. All of this, I repeat, in the recommended values of 2-3 cups per day. More than that, we can see negative side effects taking over.

what are the negative effects of taking like 5 cups a day?
2018-09-25 02:09
increased blood pressure beyond normal values, therefore making heart beat faster, so possible heart attack (also if you have some thrombus in your blood vessels, it will stretch them and make it move around the body, also possibly finishing in brain/heart and killing you) just some of the possibilities

i drink one, once in awhile.
2018-09-25 00:49
you're experiencing drug withdrawal effects due to not removing it from your system in a gradual consistent method you should start drinking again in small quantities and go decreasing your doses each week
2018-09-25 00:51
Actually caffeine makes you happier because it fills in a gap with dopamine. I don’t know the exact science of it but if you do your research you’ll find out why you don’t feel as happy

Caffeine is probably not the cause for your unhappiness. You were probably unhappy already when you kept drinking coffee, but coffee boosted your mood up. Why did you stop tho? Coffee is absolutely amazing for your health. If you drink 4-5 cups per day you'll get really nice health benefits over time.

Decrease your dosage now to 1 cup in the morning. have you been drinking it without sugar, right? Invest in good quality coffees and grind it by yourself. If you can get from Colombia it's amazing!
