Facism in Brazil
 |
Denmark Will_Smith
Could someone explain me in a serious way, why will brazilians elect a facist in ocktober ? I mean, sounds really weird to me a South American country electing a guy like the dude that was stabbed
2018-09-26 18:48
Ez, 20 years of lefists destroying the country, we realize it is better a stupid rightist, than a bunch of delusional liars from left.

I heard that Germans are taught since kids about Hitler and such, and with the work of the mainstream global media, any person who is slightly right leaning, they make it look like a new Hitler.

2018-09-26 19:00
he came out of their left culture. he did not simply decide to stab someone at random. no need for conspiracy theories.

2018-09-26 23:26
what r u implying here?
2018-09-27 02:10
the idea that there's some kind of unifying "left culture" that would bring someone to stab someone is laughable
2018-09-27 02:11
laughable? its supposed to be a sad thing...
2018-09-27 02:12
i'm not talking about the guy getting stabbed, read what i said again
2018-09-27 02:12
you mean theres no union on left culture?
2018-09-27 02:13
i would say no. ideologically, sure, but even trying to define all of leftism under a single "culture" is reductionist imo

lone madman from the "Liberty and Socialism Party" okay

2018-09-26 19:32
Well, judging that the left party in Brazil was responsible for Venezuela communism, we can be sure that even if the theoretical "communism" is not happening, the real one is terrifying.
2018-09-27 02:18
bolsonaro is a fucking retard, hes ignorant, racist, homophobic, machist and dumb as FUCK. what a great guy to elect, lmfao. the rightists are dumbest than the leftist, but they are too blind w their shit opinion to accept.
2018-09-27 01:50
While I agree with you, as I won't vote for neither Bolsonaro nor PT, it's undeniable that Haddad from PT is worse... I feel like the second turn will leave me to choose between eating shit or vomit, it's awful. I'm not sure if people from other countries remember the huge revolt in 2013 that took place here in Brazil. It all started because a certain person lied the whole election non stop and promised the bus ticket would get cheaper, but as soon as he was elected he raised it by 20 cents. That certain person is Fernando Haddad, the one who is 2nd place in this election, and we said "we are tired of this shit" back in 2013, but now? We are about to choose between him and the facist. In short. Brazillians are fucking dumb. When the kids in this website talks about mibr, this is nothing compared to the real problems we face here.

There's one speacial reason why these artists don't like him. They receive money from that bs law. And Bolsonaro already said that it will stop. The law was created for artists who dont have structure, and are just starting, but instead rich singers are getting millions and millions. And people who need it are getting denied

you said: two wrongs don't make a right. But I've long stopped trying to be logical with BRs. I'm ignoring your seconde setence. Lets talk about the first one. with this sentence you tried to say: facism in brazil would be a wrong, like the left-wing politic But, in the end of the day, your sentence dont deserve to analyzed, cause your first premise is already wrong, I mean, even bolsonaro wins the election, he wont be "fascist"or a right extremist, this was a label used by left media to maintence the status quo, in another words, to keep left in the government. He is just like trump, knows to use the right words when the all country are in callopse, so he sold this image that he was no-politician who come to bring the new meta to the brazilian old-trick politics, but, for real, he is Member of parliament for more than 27 years.

It's so distressing to vote here in Brazil... You have no idea... In the first round I'll vote on one person with great political and economical plans, but it's unlikely that he will go to the second round. The second round we will probably have to chose between Bolsonaro and Haddad (The facist and the left). Bolsonaro is bad, yeah, we get it, I hate to say that I'll vote for him if the scenario really gets to this point. The other guy, Fernando Haddad, was the one responsible for the beginning of the revolt we had in 2013, the "20 cents revolt", because he lied too much on the elections and everyone got tired of this type of politicians. His party, PT, is responsible for the recession we are now, and Haddad will lie his way through the election to convince everyone that it's not the case. Meanwhile we see a lot of people saying "See this crime? Brazil will get like this if Bolsonaro wins" yet, they don't consider that the country is already in this terrible state, not because of Bolsonaro but because this fucking PT party did this in the last fucking 16 years.

+1 Elect Bolsonaro now to take down the left and start the free market with Paulo Guedes. In 4 years we will elect João Amoedo to finally open the Brazilian market and make this shit thrive again.
2018-09-26 20:34
Oh I really do hope Amoedo wins the election. He is the only, ONLY one that knows the politicians has to stop their expenses... They are spending more and more money every year even after we got into the recession. Even Marina silva is a fucking liar, pretending to be a poor woman, declaring to have only about 30k USD, while that fucking hypocrite earns 10x that every year from the politics. I voted for her last time, but never again I'll vote for there hypocrites.

Ciro is a pathologic liar, like Haddad. Haddad is the responsible for the 20 cents revolt that we had in 2013. Cabo Daciolo.... no fucking comments. The average ones imo are Alckmin and Meirelles.

"He is just right wing" Bolsonaro words: He said... -There are womens who deserve to be raped - Lets go shoot people from PT (workers party). 1- 600 dead in 20 years ... do you really think it was a dictatorship ??? it was a military intervention ... for Brazil not to fall into the hands of communists ... the press accepted...the congress accepted and filed the request for intervention ... it was nothing at all to force the ex-ex-husband - President Dilma Rousseff was a terrorist ... who hijacked an airplane ... but the leftists bothered to vote for her ... of course not ... they are all alienated by the media ... alias ... we have the most communist media on the planet ... and the most hypocritical ones too.you can ask anyone who lived at that time ... no one complains ... everyone says it was safe to walk the streets ... it was a time when Brazil grew a lot ... only those who suffered were communists who wanted to smoke marijuana in the square ... and commit crimes ... and think that they have the right to speak that they were rebels against the "dictatorship". 3- the "PT", Brazilian political party, is the largest gang in Brazil, orchestrated the biggest robbery of public coffers in the history of the world, its leader is now in prison ... Luís Inácio Lula da Silva "the thief King".And this human garbage has alienated millions of people and put its ideological bias on millions of people, who even after having stolen all this still vote for him because he gave alms to some ignorant ... HAHWUAHW 1. He didn't say that. He said "I won't rape you because you don't deserve it". Also, he said that to Maria do Rosario, 'cause she called him a rapist while she was deffending a 16 years-old rapist, who raped a girl with other friends for five days, then they murdered her. 2. Ofc he didn't mean that. Even you don't believe that. People are just trying to polemize that. It was a way to say that they will get rid of PT politicians and politics. 3. He really mean that, but I don't blame him, because those are the ones who were in power since 2003, turning Brazil into this mess. Also, they were trying to bring the leftish-dictactorship into Brazil. 4. This is true and I don't approve it. But Brazil have bigger problems than the gay topics, like corruption, security, economy, etc. Put the gay parade above this is just stupid, and that's what people are doing. Also, he can't do anything against the gays and he won't. 5. This was a critic to the fact that some of the quilombolas were doing NOTHING but receiving money from the government, to do nothing. He didn't say that 'cause they are black.

he's a really conservative right wing. Several hate speeches against women, LGBT+, Black People, Indians and more. The only policy he mentioned for his government is to allow civilians to own Guns. (haven't heard/read about nothing else in a solid way) He have a strong speech towards public security based on self defense. He came in a time os chaos, followed by a great wave of corruption inside the 20 years the left was on the 1st power of the country, so he gained a lot of supporters. I honestly don't really know if that puts him under the Fascist label.

No. And i am not a bolsominion. There is people who call him a homophobic because he does not want kids learning about gay stuff in school at theirs 6 (I don’t share this opinion) There is people who call him racist cause he is against racial quotes(not sure if that is a world) “ “ “ who call him misogynistic cause they think he said that a woman should earn less money just because she is a woman (he twitted some weeks ago that this is not true)

he will not be elected the elections will go to the second round, where he loses in all polls for any candidate. Bolsonaro is a delirious extremist who is also dumb and does not understand anything about governing a country. the problem is that Brazil has serious structural problems, and most of the people who do not care about social policies and basic humanity support it because they see it as a savior of the motherland, something that it is far from being. while the Brazilians here who support it, can be sure that they do not understand even the basic Portuguese, which will say a reliable reasoning to choose a candidate. its name is strong by the despair of a large part of the population, but by all indications, the majority prevails lucid about their hate speeches and false economic promises.

wtf is wrong with u, boy kkkkk
2018-09-26 19:38
I just double check the source of every information
2018-09-26 19:41
Look at what u wrote: "Thats why a fascist guy is leading the poll. I won't argue against brainwashed kidos who think PT is communist and all that shit." U r saying that PT isnt a communist party and that Bolsonaro's stab was fake while calling others brainwashed, i really dont get ur point of view, if u r not baiting so im sorry but u are the brainwashed/delusional here kkkk but u r funny keep going
2018-09-26 19:57
First of all, i am not saying any of this. The bozonaro's stab wasnt fake, it realy happens, i am just saying that the guy who did it wasnt hire from PT, is that simple. You guys are crazy and think was Lula, who is "mistiriusly leading PT from inside the jail". And PT is not communist, go study the communism definition, it doesn't exist in occidental countries.
2018-09-26 22:03
So u should express more objectively ur thoughts. Nobody here is saying that PT hired that retard to stab Bolsonaro or mentioning Lula on the episode, dont abuse of ur ignorance to spread this generalizating type of speech, what is being discussed is the POSSIBILITY of a leftist group had used Adélio's retardness to try to kill a presidential, what is COMPLETELY possible, when u deny this POSSIBILITY u r leting the "bad thoughts" u have about Bolsonaro take away ur rationality. Of course communism doesnt exist practically speaking, communism is a utopia and will never be reached in fact, thats right and obvious, what will never mean that the idea is absent on the political spectrum lol. R u using only the economical side of PT's government to define them as "not communists" or r u dumb? Communism is a totalirarian project of power, a PROJECT, viable by corrupt alliances alongside the big capital holders travestite of good intentions, thats what PT done, we got mensalão and petrolão (institucionalized corruption), support and funding of dictatorships (cuban, venezualan et cetera), they even tried to pair STF. Not even saying about Foro de SP. When u deny facts with debauchery and puting everything on the conspiracy side of things trying to sound smarter, u r just evidencing ur stupidity. Everyone knows Bolsonaro is not as good as his "fans" think and that he already said a lot of crap, but act like u r acting, changing his speechs to desmoralize him, will not make him weaker. And u will vote for Ciro, he is a leftist Bolsonaro, seems like a good guy on political debates but acts like a authoritative piece of shit outside the mainstream. Use ur rationality, not ur emotions.

2018-09-26 22:07
How else are you supposed to defend yourself during a rape attempt? We are talking about a country that kills over 60 thousand people per year. And the majority of casualties could've been avoided if the victim had a feature to work with. You don't necessarily need to shoot someone. You just need to make sure that all criminals will think twice before approaching you with THEIR guns (because, get this, CRIMINALS DON'T CARE ABOUT THE LAW AT ALL, LMAO). Plus, the "pro-life" thing is because he's against abortion. Stop playing dumb already.
2018-09-26 23:27
if you the country is secure, you dont even would need defend yourself from rape. And people would use guns everywhere ? because rape happen everywhere. "And the majority of casualties could've been avoided if the victim had a feature to work with" how ??????? shoot someone will avoid a death ????????? "You just need to make sure that all criminals will think twice before approaching you with THEIR guns" A gun is expensive so not all the population would have one. And if you show your gun for a criminal, he will just kill you first lmao you're dumb af sorry. dont reply me anymore, newfag.

A rapist couldn't care less about your Facebook filter, a thug/murder laughs at you everytime you say that "he or she only needed more education" and corrupt politicians are all happy that you exist because you will keep them in charge. "how ??????? shoot someone will avoid a death ?????????" - Don't be stupid! If someone has to die in a gun fight, you'll fight for your life, won't you? "A gun is expensive so not all the population would have one. And if you show your gun for a criminal, he will just kill you first lmao" - Damn! Are you actually THIS stupid? If someone can't afford a gun, then it's "justified" that no one should have the right to buy one for self-defense? Is that what you're saying? Jump off a bridge, for dog's sake.

Yea, Brazil is a massive shithole, everyone knows that. We have about ~60000 homicides per years, of which about ~42000 were inflicted by firearms. Yet people like you keep saying people need guns to defend themselves, yea, right, let's stop gun homicide by ... increasing gun circulation within our society. Wow, if that's not sheer stupidity, I have no words for you. But now, let's look at statistics, right? From 1983 to 2003 homicide rate by 100,000 inhabitants rose from 14 to ~36. After our firearm laws were enacted in 2004 we managed to make it somewhat stable, it is around ~30 now. If you still want absolute numbers, firearm related deaths decreased for the first time in 2004, from around ~36000 to ~34000. From the early 80's to early 2000's they increased from ~9000 to ~36000, more than two decades of uninterrupted growth. Our firearms laws managed to control firearm related death at least; yes it wont solve our violence problem as there are dozens of variables regarding it in our nation, but revoking it under the banner that "we need to defend ourselves, criminals will think twice before acting" when there are numbers that prove otherwise, is INSANITY. Now... WANT SOURCES? mapadaviolencia.org.br/pdf2016/Mapa2016_..
2018-09-27 01:47

I was sure you were just trolling/baiting. But if you were serious about your friend, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I had no intention whatsoever to make you sad, or hurt you, and I'm sorry if I caused you any harm. However, I'm just pointing out, with valid sources, that arming the population won't solve a thing. It'll only increase the bloodshed, violence and hatred that is already entrenched within our society. We don't need guns, we need to give our nation's most young and poorest the possibility of a future, by decreasing wealth concentration and increasing our education, also decreasing our gigantic and inefficient public services and making the right changes within our "criminal code", all of this while not harming our economy with unpopular, policies, but making it grow. And even then we'll still have to change a lot in order to make up dozens of years wasted due to mismanagement, corruption and authoritarian governments/dictatorships. Don't let your emotions get the best of you. Peace
2018-09-27 03:05
I feel sad for your friend but give weapons to monkeys in this jungle wont solve the problem xd
2018-09-27 02:19
If you ever felt genuinely bad for anybody's passing by the hands of armed criminals in this jungle, you'd support gun ownership by now. Unfortunately, one does NOT outplay violent people by using roses and leather bound books onto them.

it is common for Brazilians to compare things without any historical context the fascism grows through ignorance and in Brazil there are a large number of highly ignorant people attracted by a fanciful rather than real discourse.
2018-09-26 19:45
unfortunately the fascism arises in times of political and economic crisis, and this is what is happening here in Brazil
2018-09-26 19:38

2018-09-26 19:40
Most people don't even know what fascism is and what kind of policies it defends. Nowadays its just a slender world (just as neoliberal is) for anything that the mainstream progressive establishment dislikes. But that is just because most leftists would find themselves agreeing with most of the fascist ideas if they were revealed to them, history shows that jumping between collectivist idelogies is super easy.
2018-09-26 19:46
I actually agree with you that the left made a huge mistake by using "fascism" as anything they oppose to. I'm not left-winged (although i don't consider myself a right-wing either), but Bolsonaro actually is a fascist. Several times he exposed his lack of appreciation for democracy, his admiration for the military dictatorship, he even said that he would easily trade our democracy for another military coup. Fascism shouldn't be a bad name for someone you simply don't like, but it does apply well to Bolsonaro.
2018-09-26 20:51
Well fascist elements are present in every party as far as I know. Its a matter of degree.
2018-09-26 20:53
- Worship of the hierarchy and the figure of the leader, as hero and / or "myth" -Exacerbated nationalism, national regeneration mission -Consider yourself in a state of war against your political opponents -Militarization of politics -Exaltation of military and police institutions - Authoritarianism in the discourse and proposals - Constant disrepute of typical institutions of a democratic society (the free press, parliament, judiciary) - Considers pacifism as a compromise with "the enemy", life as a constant state of war - Obsessed with "conspiracies" and enemy threats (São Paulo forum, gender ideology, cultural Marxism) - Idealization of the nation as a total unity of interests -Appeal to xenophobia and fears associated with foreigners or other minority groups -Rejection of distinctive elements of modernity, see gains of equality in the field of rights as "depravity", some selective scientific discoveries as detrimental and a certain contempt for contemporary art and its representatives -By contrast, valuing older traditions and old ways of dealing with these themes Intellectuals seen as elitist with nothing to contribute Main support base in middle-class frustration Simplistic rhetoric in public discourse appeals to emotions and limits the rational evaluation of what one is or should be saying -Appreciation of corporations of interest and state protections to them, especially corporations linked to a masculine culture such as the police and the army It does not meet all the criteria nor do I believe it fits all of them. Nor do I believe that he is a competent representative of this ideology, both in the sense of maintaining coherence and in the sense of capitalizing and directing efficiently these attitudes and defenses that he exposes. But I believe they are points in common enough to bring you closer to fascism. However, by that I do not mean that he would be the only fascist in politics, or that politicians who call themselves other ideologies would also not meet many of those same criteria.
2018-09-26 21:23
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascist_Manifesto See how many parties from your country fit the criterias. I think it would be almost all of them, at least in most aspects.
2018-09-26 21:30
Because the MANIFESTO doesnt differ much from what most democracies are. We can not build a historic line based on pure theoretical aspects. In practice, the government ruled everyone and everything, broke the democractic pact, and practiced persecution against several minorities. Not many parties in Brazil actually represents that, although the general criteria of the manifesto can be applied to most parties in the west. It doesn't mean they are fascists, just that fascism tried to look democratic in order to stablish a dictatorship.

If only the average brazilian thought like you ... Instead we have retards defending the military coup :D Oh well, I don't like where this is going
2018-09-26 21:55
On the contrary, it means that people dont know what the hell fascism is and they are de facto fascists without knowing. They think military rule = fascism, when in fact you cant have a State without the compliance of the military, and that every dictatorship has had its compliance, be it from the "right" of from the "left". If you are a social-democrat you are probably a fascist. Are you a libertarian at all?
2018-09-26 22:00
Because people in Brazil are easily attracted to authoritarian speeches, and they have a fetish for candidates who presents themselves as "nations savers". The anti-Workers Party movement became as illogical as Petism (the name we give for people who heavily associate with Workers Party). It's important to notice that Brazil really never had a long period of construction of our democratic institutions, so democracy itself is not really appreciated over here. It's a shame that well educated people fall into this authoritarian bs, risking to lose everything we've worked so hard to reach.

First - Without knowing Lula The counter-revolution of 1064 had as its main leader the controversial general Mourão Filho. The soldier did not know Lula. But, it seems, beyond his personal fearlessness, he was a prophet. Just read what the military wrote in the early '70s: "Let any mediocre, mad or semi-illiterate be put on the chair, and twenty-four hours later the horde of sycophants will be around him, brandishing the elegio as a weapon, convincing him that he is a political genius and a great man, and that everything he does is right. She soon becomes an ignoramus in a sage, a madman in a balanced genius, a primary in a statesman, and a man in that position, holding the reins of a power with practically no limits , intoxicated by flattery, becomes a dangerous monster. " Second - "You want it, then I will recognize" that "union as a Party (PT) .But do not forget that one day" this "party will come to power and there being, everything will do to institute COMMUNISM.That day, you will want to take them out And to get them out of there, it will cost a lot of BRAZILIAN BLOOD. "

But we are not going to elect Ciro 'Pescotapas; sequestrar o Lula; Receber o Moro na bala' Gomes. We are actually going to elect Bolsonaro, the only reasonable candidate. Fuck the commies.

either you have no idea what "fascism" is or all you know about Bolsonaro comes from mainstream media. In either case, you're retarded, like the majority of brazilianos. I'm not wasting my time in this thread, good bye. Bolsonaro 2018

Easy election to my boy Bolsonaro, supported for the mastermind Fallen (not this year). To be honest people here and over the country talking shit about our lord and saviour Jair Messias Bolsonaro, they are all dumb people with depression and something like 45-69 IQ. Bolsonaro will win, you liking or not. he's not Fascist, use your brain, as someone with entirely liberal prompts in economics (less power for the state) can be Fascist? Tell me a Fascist / dictator who is against gun control?

another point: Bolsonaro is entirely against media and internet control, something that Lula said, in public, that he would do when elected.

Media and Artists that "hate" Bolsonaro are just afraid to lose money from our taxes. If Bolsonaro was saying that he wouldn't change anything about giving money to Media Channels and Lei Rouanet ( something that we brazilians pay to "support" artists) they would give 0 fucks about this election.

Yes, also the media and the "social-movements" are doing so much pressure on them, that I'm sure that some of those who said that won't vote for Bolsonaro, actually will. Just look at Anitta, she didn't wanted to tell her vote or opinion, and these movements, including the feminst movement, started to call her a slut, a dog, a pig, a whore, a bitch and all that sort of things. I mean, the feminists were going against one of their own mantras: respect the woman's, and respect their opinions. Just because she didn't say she was against him. But he is the "fascist" right? HAWUHWA in fact the feminism in Brazil is far from the real feminism. They are acting like politicians-militants.

People will elect Bolsonaro cuz brazilian is dumb and easily manipulative. That's the most simple reason. Also, you can't call him facist cuz their fans are blind. they will deny and distort everything bad he does or says, even if he has said stupid things many times.

Well, first cause brazilians are stupid hahahahhaha Second, they believe he will change Brazil, but, in fact, just Ciro can. I already bought my ticket to Cuba, cause when Bozo win, and he will, Brazil will not exist anymore.
2018-09-27 03:49
we have like one good option around here. João Amoedo, but he will not win this shit, so we have to vote for someone that will take PT out. Our country gone from an emergent to a piece of garbage with no future. Thousand of scandals, corruption and stuff like that, but all you keep listening from our left side is "bolsonaro is racist". Fuck this shit, we have bigger problems to deal right now. Things are so bad that some people are even claiming for army to take down the governement, and i dont blame them for that. Two things are in favor for bolsonaro: He inst corrupt and he isnt on PT, thats enough for me.
