It is. Find a type of game you really like playing (cash, MTT tournaments, sngs, etc) then focus on them. If you really focus and love the game, you can be living of poker in a year or two, maybe even less. I've been treating poker as a job for 4 months and I'm nearly reaching minimum wage. I would say in a year I'll be making enough to focus 100% on it.
Also, study bankroll management guidelines. Don't put 100 dollars in your account and then go play two 50 dollars tournaments, you're just gonna lose your money. Poker is a long term game.
