Hamburger actually isn't from the USA. It's from Germany. The name Hamburger came from the city of Hamburg, so when they made the sandwich, they just called it a Hamburg-er

2018-10-09 14:26
Yes true but have you seen that Brett Kavanaugh thing? Do you think any candidate other than Trump comes out of this alive? Do you think any other politician in any country in the world could survive what Trump survived? Man is a shit head who cheated on his pregnant wife, and if it wasn't for the media overexaggerating shit he didn't do, we'd all probably say "fuck a guy like him" but he is what the US needs
2018-10-09 14:29
i kinda know about it but don't really keep up with US politics, but i still cant believe that out of 320 million people Trump is the one in charge, from an outsiders perspective its crazy, especially seeing that he acts like the biggest manchild i've ever seen.

pretty sure it was made famous in the us tho. ground beef patties between two pieces of bread (basically) isnt really a famous food in germany. its popular around here bcs mcd etc, or at least i suppose that those murican chains are the main reason for its decent popularity around here.

Wait is this real? EDIT: It isnt lol apparently the first pizza was made in Naples. Lombardi just brought something that was already made in Italy to the US
2018-10-09 14:24
its not real about pizza, but it is true about tikka masala, which certainly was invented by some indian homie in the UK during that whole colony business when indians and the likes started to bring real asian spices into the country and subsequently all of the world pretty much.

unfortunately i must say that the best hotdog is still an unhealthy, mostly salty mix of jellied meat goo wrapped in an animal bowel or some sort of plastic. its just not spectacular and the world would do just fine without that.

its famous party food in germany at least, u can just make a big pot of it and everyone whos comin over for beer or whatever party shit can just eat when they please. its very practical in that sense. some hugnarians tell me tho that what most parts of the western world call goulash is actually "Gulyáspörkölt" which is different. goulash is usually a stew here, not a soup, anyway.

im pretty sure kebab basically translates to grilled meat. and in a broader definition most people refer to grilling meat (or even fish, seafood) on a stick. im pretty sure some half monkeys in the steppes of africa hundred thousand years ago were already doing that before the world ever even had nightmares about the pakistani pricks that would once inhabitate this planet.

pretty lame cuisine as a whole tho idk whats with all the dry rice
2018-10-09 16:35
well you wouldnt go and say that peanut butter is lame because of all the dry toast now would you? they go together. wherever you ate that meal of gheimeh i tell you the chef didnt know what he was doing.
2018-10-09 16:39
i dont mean that particular dish i mean most of the food i got there was some type of kebab accompanied with a huge plate of rice without sauce, just a pack of butter.
2018-10-09 19:43
yeah you went for the typical shit bro. tbh i also think that you shouldnt have rice with kebab. i would always go for iranian stews over kebabs tho.

i can count more than 50, yet im too lazy so I'll just search iconic turkish foods finedininglovers.com/blog/food-drinks/50.. lol after this list, i still can count more than 50, such as other type of kebabs (cag, beyti etc.), other type of meat dishes (kokoreç, şirdan etc.), other type of traditional iconic foods (nohut, lahana sarma etc) and similar with those (inegöl meatball, akçaabat meatball etc.)

England would like to say hi
2018-10-08 16:02
What? There are so many awesome german dishes. You could just name Brötchen tbh. Many countries dont even have those. the Bread in germany in general is different and almost no german would prefer different. Weißwurst, Maultaschen, Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, Leberkäse/Fleischkäse etc. Actually you could even count Weißbier ;D
2018-10-09 16:25
bread and beer are our specialities. not too fond of the insane amount of lame ass sausages, pork roasts etc. whats with all lame side dishes as well? fuckin knödel? its basically a round kitchen sponge. i mean it just doesnt keep up with the light vibrancy of italian cuisine, the complex detail and finesse of the french cuisine or the flavor explosion of some asian cuisines. in other words we have some good stuff especially for cold days but it doesnt really stand out among other cuisines.
2018-10-09 16:38
I dont know. If you feel taht way, okay, its obviously your opinion. But me and alot of other (nongermans) people love it. Also germans is known for some of its sweets aswell. The thing is, german cuisine has meat all over the place. And nowadays the meat you buy all tastes so similar. But if you have better meat and cook it in a traditional way, you can make freaking tasty dishes :) But Its not like I only praise german food or anything, I love alot of different things from alot of countries. Things like Goulash for example °-°

2018-10-09 14:32
Caribbean
2018-10-09 15:25
eehh... american BBQ is what you get from Memphis, Kansas City, and Texas. each has their different style and i'm pretty sure they're unique to the US Caribbean BBQ is what we call Caribbean jerk. it's a different type of sauce/marinade
2018-10-09 16:08
yes but bbq's in general originate from the carribean, he didn't ask about the differen't types of bbq
2018-10-09 16:23
does it tho? what about Korean BBQ?
2018-10-09 16:26
thats like saying what about italian pizza when pizza originated from china lol
2018-10-09 16:30
true i suppose... BBQ and pizza are rather broad terms in general though. lots of different styles, sauces, types, etc
2018-10-09 16:32
I agree but the original concept was from Carribean and China respectively and then others have their variations on it, as you said, American bbq's vary from state to state and are different from Carribean bbq's where the first signs of it originated from, like pizza as well, Marco Polo traveled to China and discovered toppings on flatbread which is what he turned into Italian pizza by putting toppings with cheese on which is obviously varied from what the Chinese did. Not much different to Chicken Tikka Masala in the UK, it's an Indian dish but the British variation of it is our bloody national dish now!!
2018-10-09 16:36
quite true, i stand corrected. learn something new every day right??
