Suck at MM
 |
United States ferric
Idk why. I'm level 5 on FaceIt and B- on ESEA but I'm stuck at MG1 in MM. I usually end with 95-115 ADR every single game but I can never manage to win. I can send demos if you want. Thanks

Everyone seems like Gods in MM. Sometimes I'll hold an off angle and ill get instantly headshotted, same thing if I hold a normal angle. Everyone looks like bots whenever I see pros like n0thing play against MG1s on the same map, maybe it's just his positioning idk but I can definitely send demos, would like some real help please n ty.

Hell's yeah bro gonna be my first CSGO tournament that I'm gonna watch live. Gonna watch esl pro league finals in Dallas if they happen before I leave as well. I'm only in Texas for a year but I live in Connecticut and I missed the Boston major because I didn't have a job until a month after :( Oh well at least I watched the entire thing live on twitch.

Yeah but I asked oBo on his stream how he went from just starting to play cs to getting to FPL in 2.5 years.. He said he first started playing CS in October 2015 and played it for fun for a year and once he got Global in mm he bought ESEA and grinded that and Faceit and in 2018 or something he made it to FPL. How does one get to Global when they are 12-13 years old by playing for fun wtf and I'm playing like 30-35 hours a week practicing aim reviewing demos and recoil and I am stuck in fkin MM. so frustrating.
2018-10-18 07:56
Trust me, MM is not worth your time. You'll learn much more grinding through FACEIT and ESEA Have a depressing day! -VeryDepressingGuy

35h per week? At my peek, I had like 50 hours at least. At some point (holiday) I had 120 hours per week. That's how you grind tbh

Actually, I used to have a pretty good life back then, ofc, worse than I have now, but, well, I have 20 hours in last 2 weeks... that says something

I can't play that much, I also don't see why I'd need to play that much unless I was literally trying to go pro. I might try it one week and let you know.. when I get a week off from classes I'll test it out.

I feel like this sorta applies to ESEA as well. If you saw the matches I post above, in the games where I only get 8.8 RWS, it's usually a soloque. In games where I quee with just one friend (amp or adamantcs) I usually do really well. I don't really have a lot of friends that play MM. I'm on an ESEA open team that just got a 5th member so we're just memeing for this season but I usually play with one of them cause they're the only ones available to play.
2018-10-18 08:17
I see what you are saying. You should play MM with me

tbf I am supreme now and play only vs globals by playing about 5 to 8 hours every week, just casual and for fun. I barely warmup and directly drop into MM. Its all about communication and motivating your team, often I'm not even top fragger. Also I always get better teams in MM then in Faceit (am also 5 on faceit).
2018-10-18 09:44
If You can keep up playing ESEA B-, then You have no problém. If You begin struggling, then u should go back to mm

Yeah I've been dropping 35+ kill pugs every other game with over 115 ADR and 17-20 RWS on ESEA but it's just I don't understand why I am playing so bad in MM it's actually really frustrating. There was one point 2 months ago where I had 15 wins in a row in MM. Now, out of the last 30 games I've played, I probably only won like 5 and I deranked 4 times already..
2018-10-18 07:58
You should link us your ESEA account. I'd like to see this 115 ADR profile. Have a depressing day! -VeryDepressingGuy

I am not trying to go pro, but I am trying to be as good as possible. I also want to get to at least the very basic thing of getting to Global, which people claim Global is around level 6-7 FaceIt level even in NA.
2018-10-18 07:59
i can tell you're kinda a good person so it will double the trouble for you because kids in this game are beyond usual toxic level, they will drag you down and drown you... keep safe, play good, try on and treat them the way they do you... Farrukh is cause of Freddie or for real?

18 years old, so going pro is out of the question. Even if I was 15 at this level I wouldn't consider it, but I do want to get better at the game and at the very least say I was able to make it to the highest possible rank possible by the official game devs, but I guess I'll try to improve in ESEA first. Who knows? Some pros went pro in a very short amount of time. Then again, they had talent or good aim from another game and pick up things way quicker than me.
2018-10-18 08:15
i don't quite get your urge to get to the top highest rank if you've put shit on your dreams of becoming pro? if you can hit most of your shots you aren't bad either way... not a kid anymore, make sure you're gonna have a good living rather than securing good positions in this silly game, my advice for you

Yeah I can manage time really well and school is easy for me personally, but I took a gap year before starting college and if I really want to do something in the game, this is the year to do it. Other than work and the language I am studying, I literally have nothing else to do. I'm living by myself for a year and doing well at the language I am studying. Also I haven't really completely given up on pro, I just don't talk about it much because people laugh because they say there's no chance if I'm already 18, which sorta seems true when you see these 14 year olds in FPL and 17 year olds being signed on elite level teams. Then again there are also pros that went pro at a late age. JDM didn't start playing on the best team in NA at the time till he was in his late twenties
2018-10-18 08:22
good luck to you little boy, i've gone from the routine life and went to get into music and digging it slowly now if you feel like it, go for it

Thanks bro, and thanks for your advice. No matter how far I get in CS, I will always put school first when the time comes. Being pro only lasts for a couple years before you fall off, so it's never a smart idea to go all in unless you are super young I guess or you already have a good backup plan (big streamer/youtuber/job opportunity elsewhere in esports industry/already have a degree like Karrigan)
2018-10-18 08:26

hahaha same for me in mm, im faceit lvl 10 but lem mm seems hard af for some reason, everyone does the most retarded shit and it can be so hard to build any kind of consistency even though i know i can frag well against really good players in faceit. I wouldn't worry about mm that much it seems like a waste of time and im sure there's a decent amount of closet cheaters aswell.

My warmup routine is usually 5 minutes intensive fast aiming on training_aim_csgo2, 10-15 minutes on aimbotz, 10 minutes on pistol or hs ffa dm, and 25-30 minutes in normal ffa dm.

Played it "for fun" July 2015 but I barely played it during that year. Started trying really hard in July 2016 in matchmaking and got ESEA in the Summer of this year (2018).
2018-10-18 08:38
i started in 2015 too and played with a laptop and wireless office mouse for couple years, then upgraded to pc and good gear and got global really fast

I also played with a garbage 30 fps pc until this past May I finally got a really good setup and the rest of the gear about a month later. I went from Nova master to MGE very fast but I stopped playing MM for the entire summer and focused on trying to join a team. I came back and got MG2 when i went back to MM then had an amazing 15 game winning streak and I was playing amazingly. Got to MGE and was playing against LEs and LEMS (even saw a supreme in one of my matches). After that, it went completely downhill and I am currently at 6 wins of my last 30 matches
2018-10-18 08:50

2018-10-18 08:38
first of all, stop switching MM to ESEA or Faceit every week, play one of them for a long long time, because you need to adaptation and because there are many differents for two easily MM is 64 tick which is hard to spray.. But you should play ESEA because most NA players plays ESEA i seen rarely North American players who plays on Faceit [3-7 lvl]

Yeah I usually only play faceit with one of my friends from UK cause he doesn't have ESEA so I usually play 140 ping French servers. And yeah I'll switch to ESEA full time.

If you play only to improve your MM rank, play just one or two maps, the ones you are a beast on. I got global in two weeks, playing 15-20 games a week, only dust2 and inferno. These are the maps that i've loved since 1.6, so i play them with very much ease. I play only solo, having 2-3 entry strats by myself for the T side and 2-3 strats for ct. I flash for myself, i smoke for my self, get 1-2 kills, break open the site and call for the team to plant. I don't train aim so much, used to do it before, but nowadays just a few minutes on aim_botz, 80-100 kills on dm and i'm good to go. I always try to be the first one looking for a duel, either side I'm playing. You'd be surprised how many times you catch your opponents off guard, with nades in their hands or just looking the other way.

The the problem is I used to be really good on dust2 on my old PC, but that was the old dust2 and my old PC was crap and it was the only map it could run other than mirage. After they updated dust2 It was unplayable on my old PC and i don't remember what i used to do way back then. Right now my best map is mirage and I know a lot of smokes and molotov on it and I can get 1-2 kills but not every round and even then sometimes I'll get 3 kills and my team will manage to lose the round. And I'm not talking exit kills or something im talking entry or trade frags early in the round.
