The world is not overpopulated. That is such an dumb thing to say. The world is only overpopulated in some regions like Asia or Africa. Meanwhile western and especially Nordic countries are struggling with every year decreasing birthrates (more people die than there are born each year)
2018-10-22 19:38
Western world is suffering in child birth because people don't want to have kids anymore as much. Why would it be a problem? There's more then plenty of people around, should make it work like this before spawning more people to suffer in the impending catastrophe - be it nuclear war, war in general or even natural causes like climate change. Imho the more interesting statistic is that families with higher average IQ rarely have as many kids as a family with a lower IQ. That distribution is something that'll fuck us up good. Genes don't define you completely but those are the cards you get to play. Usually lower IQ families also are lower income families, which in turn makes it hard to have multiple kids without going short on some aspect.
2018-10-22 19:53
It's a problem because the rates are decreasing. This means that the children of this generation will be having much harder time because they need to work twice as hard. Also who is taking care of the elders if there's not enough young people?
2018-10-22 20:10
Well, we've been able to manage so far. There's a generation of youth, they're just situated all around the world. Maybe some areas of the planet aren't just meant to be as densely populated. And thus, if you choose to spend your life there, you'll just have to live with the consequences (as in possibly nobody to take care of you when you're old). I don't understand why people cling to life so much anyhow, I don't wish to live to over 50-60 years old. I'd be happy to die at the age of 55 for example, I'd have had a long and prosperous life by then and I've never had the urge to try to survive when I can't even enjoy life to it's fullest. (What I mean is pain, disability and mental problems that can come due to age.)
2018-10-22 20:15
No we are not controlling the situation. Every year the country is in more and more debt, taxes are getting even higher, less government funded services (e.g. healthcare) There's less and less babies born which means less and less workers -> less tax money. Also nowadays living in 1st world countries is so simple and easy and that it has made the population much more incompetent than ever before. Just look at how unemployment and depression rates are also going up. EVEN LESS potential work force. Trust me, most 1st world countries are heading towards a catastrophe. Give it 10 years and it's really going to start showing
2018-10-22 20:33
The whole planet is. 1st world greed is what is driving us in to such oppression, we've got enough to distribute but 1% owns 90% of the worlds wealth and the lower you get in that equation the worse. 1st world is 1st world only because we're slaves in a different kind of setting, we've got TV's and such commodities but it doesn't make it any less so that most of 1st worlders are struggling to save money past the ongoing month. People don't have such things as buffer funds and it will be kept sure that those won't be at least easily emerging. You are blaming our problems on the society itself but it isn't so simple. The finesse of the way the system we're in brings people down especially in situations where they need support the most is impeccable. It's so hard to see that you can't even fathom what is wrong with it, easier to blame the individual for everything.
2018-10-22 21:06
Sugar is NATURALLY in almost every food as well. A sugar free lifestyle is not better. Just control the amount of sugar you consume. We are much more effective if we have some sugars to work with.

Look on the calories of a coke zero
2018-10-22 15:20
Why is 0 calories more important than having something your body was meant to process? Artificial sweeteners are quite often WORSE than a controlled amount of natural sugar.
2018-10-22 14:48
Maybe I should say that artificial sweeteners are better if you don't want to gain weight. If gaining weight isn't a problem for you, then sugar is better.
2018-10-22 15:22
You won't gain weight from white or any other sugar if you don't digest more calories then you spend. If you are getting fat, cut on your consumption in calories. Isn't that hard. :p The only thing what I don't like is how sugar has reached a point where the addictive nature of white sugar is being used against us by adding it to products where there would be naturally very little or next to no natural sugar. The ethics of the people who aim to sell is often more then questionable. Also interesting to me is the issue of a lightbulb lasting too long. Originally when lightbulbs were invented there was a massive competition going on about who would create the most perfect lightbulb - one that would be bright but would never die (or almost never) - and such a bulb was created. One of them still shines it's light in the roof of a US fire departments garage, there's even a webcam stream for it. Nowadays what we get? Lightbulbs that will only work for a specified amount of time as if it'd work for a century after buying one people wouldn't buy as much lightbulbs. This same shit is applied to pretty much anything you buy nowadays and there seems to be a some kind of a general compliance to this shit happening and we're just stuck in the hamster wheel working on, facing forward, struggling 110% but going nowhere.

The Problem about artifical sugar is the possibilty of an ascending insulin level which means mor graving for sweets. . .it wasn't fpr humans proven yet, but with mice.

They substitute that with the sweeteners you mentioned. If the macronutrient list on the back of product don't mention carbs > sugars, then there is substitute.

sugar is something that naturally exists in all living organisms and almost all (if not all) foods, and your organism needs it to survive.
2018-10-22 14:54
Never buy anything "sugarfree" or "diet" the substitutes are worse than sugar and sugar is cancer in the first place. Stevia, Xylitol seems ok but I wouldn't actively go out my way to get it. Just quit sweet foods all together the addiction goes away after a while, fruits and honey are good but in moderation of course.

how much aspartame do u have to consume daily to get cancer. I thought it was like 150 cans of coke zero a day
2018-10-22 21:19
I think its like as long as there are less than 5g of anything. Its legal to put 0g of __________
2018-10-22 19:56
fun fact: Every Tic Tac weighs just under .5 grams, and each little mint is considered a single serving. The federal regulation states that if an individual serving size has more than .5 grams of sugar, it has to be reported as such, but any less and the serving is “technically” sugar free because the manufacturer is allowed to report the sugar content as zero. Tic Tac is able to make the claim that its pure sugar breath mint is sugar free simply because the mint weighs less than the amount needed to report the sugar content in the first place.
