16:9 for gods, 4:3 dlya loxov
4:3 bigger head = EDSHOT MACHINE
4:3 blackbars my fav.
not gona change. idgaf
Actually pretty interesting.
Like your effort.
who gives a shit about res in 2K18 lul
16x9 = normies
4:3 = tryhards
16x10 = gods
1152x864 stretched god res
Good effort but it makes it easoer for your brain, only that
4:3 cuz i am used to it too, since 2008
I completely agree, but I still use 4:3 bb simply because to me it feels better, and I've only been playing since 2015. It's weird, but CS:GO is just that game in which seemingly only you personal preferences matter, even if there were more logical choices.
I know. Still using 4:3 bb because it actually distracts me with that big FOV (Just used to it of course). Sometimes when i hold like 2 angles i wish i had 16:9 cause i can't see enough with 4:3, but that's really rare. other than that, i never experienced a big issue with the little less FOV
I like 4:3 because it feels faster though i know it isnt.
Also thats just personal and i probably have to get my eyes fixed but they hurt when playing CSGO on 1080p for too long.
in the end it's all about preferences, one thing is not better than the other thing
i personally use BB because of 1.6, and I feel like I can't watch everything with stretched full screen. It's like my eyes have to "travel" too much
Volvo has to enable FOV settings. Atleast from 90-106°.
>It is bigger, yes, but just as easy to hit
Nope. While it is technically not easier to hit, it is easier to hit for a human. Why? The same reason why you hit better with a lower sens than an insanely high (although it's technically no problem to hit, as you just have to move your mouse to the correct spot).
Larger models help to identify and lock on the target more efficiently. It's called ergonomy.
4:3 stretched models moves faster
every res has it's avantages and disadvantages, there's no need to make threads about it anymore
Well, my aim was quite meh when on 16:9 and upon switching to 4:3 I just became godly in the aim department
1:1 is the superior ratio
i dont care, i will play 4:3 till I die idiot
Who cares? 4:3 looks better, period.
y use widescreen when u can rely on hax. rather get that 1-5 fps boost for even better hax. when playing competitive against other hax that 1-5 fps boost will be the difference between win and loss why you think so many pros use it?
for me 4:3 gives better fps even than lowest 16:9/16:10 res
good post btw
TLDR:- 4*3 > 16:9.
Thank me later.
I was playing on 4:3 because my computer was weak as hell, I had gtx 240, and know I just can’t play at any other res
People say, it's habit, because I played 4:3 for so long...
If n0thing can play 16:9 after years and years of 4:3, so can you all. I switched and it took 1 hour of DM before I felt comfortable. Instead of being so closed to change and asserting you CANNOT change. Give it a real shot (like 2days of 16:9 ) and you will be surprised.
i totally agree with you, shit i was thinking the same things
i play 4:3 because im more confident with it
i was playing 1k hours with 16:9 1920x1080 and i was not good
than i changed it to 4:3 1024x768 and i started playing better i got more kills i got higher ranks-levels so
4:3 > 16:9
For me personally i can 1 tap with stretched, but i can't spray on stretched. However on blackbars i can 1tap and spray accurately.
I literally only play 4:3 because 8x6 crosshairs are nice, if they were different I'd play 16:9, my fps really suck when I play on a 16:9 res where you can get somewhat similar feeling crosshairs because the crosshairs look shit on lower 16:9 resolutions
i played 1.6 using 640x480 and 800x600 for 4 years i have 10k+ hours in it,i started cs go in late 2016 and i have been using 1920 since its just a matter of getting usd to
Stretched makes it easier to hit enemies.
Wrong, obviously. In csgo, your bullet lands on what is the equivalent as the four pixels that are the center of your screen. Stretched or narrowed, the difficulty to hit said pixels among surrounding pixels stays the same. It is bigger, yes, but just as easy to hit, if that makes sense, because the stretched nature of 4:3 stretched just spaces out the pixels with one another, but they are just as hard to hit.
For some people its easier to play with stretched = easier to hit your enemies. So its just personal preference which feels best = easiest for you.
It doesnt change any game mechanics, but it could still be easier for some people to play with that setting. Just like some people find 169 easier than 43.
tbf, i am just as good on 16:9 as 4:3. Even though i prefer bb on either 4:3/16:10
Why?, Bcuz it makes me feel "calm". I started playin with 4:3 cuz i thought that pros use it, so it's better, and then, well i got sort of used to it. So my main reason. I jsut prefer the looks. Neve had any problems with walking past ppl bcuz of 4:3.
I played cs with 1920x1080 for 2k hours, then switched to stretched 1280x1024 and damn, everything changed for me. Now I feel like 16:9 models are too small but can't deny the facts that 16:9 still better than 4:3 a bit but its all personal preferences
>In csgo, your bullet lands on what is the equivalent as the four pixels that are the center of your screen
Maybe in theory but in practice it's much easier to hit a enemy's head with a lower fov.
I've used streched for some time now and everytime i switch to 16:9 or 16:10 its less smooth and i cant spray as good
i switch res all the damn time,
i kinda see it like this
4:3 stretched for superior spray control on rifles and mp9 xd and timing taps on enemies around the corner,
16:9 for allround accuracy and good STEADY spray control and better overview of the situation due to higher FOV,
4:3 BB for superior awp n deagle and hitting peoples hitboxes when they stutter step around a wall/corner
16:10 stretched for better pistol aim, spray control on rifles kinda suffers but still good accuracy due to good visibility
16:10 BB for kjaerbye shaker aim xd
so much useless text from mad baguette lmao. Feels sad4this guy and ppl who read that. Get some friends.
4:3 bb> 16:9
because you have less area to focus on and if you dont have crosshair placement like a monkey you wont need those side bars anyway
but u cant deny that its easier to spot enemys on 4:3
but either way 16:10 is god res
stretched makes it easier to see people but they also move across your screen faster
you dumb af, models are bigger on stretched so they are obviously easier to hit.
they move faster tho so it's preference
STOPPED READING AT WRONG 4:3
It feels easier to play on it, it's personal preference, but it is easier to hit, but they do move faster.
Also problems with eyes.
I feel that it’s harder to switch from 4:3 to 16:9 than vice versa
jzargo plays on 5:4 so enemies look as fat as ur mom
If it looks bigger ofc it is easier to hit wtf are you on about lmao 0/8
4:3 or 16:10 stretched is zoomed in so it's easier to see
i don't like the "there are other res' on 16:9" argument. yes, you can get a lower res on 16:9 for better fps, but there's a difference between removing pixels by blurring out stuff vs removing pixels by blurring out stuff AND chopping off basically 30% of your screen. the 30% of you screen that you lose is what gives you the edge in fps.
tl;dr, 4:3 chops off pixels; its better than blurry 16:9. theres a reason no one uses blurry 16:9
mm player spotted, you might as well go buy 4k monitor in that case. Go kys.
I get the same fps regardless of what video settings I use, and I believe anyone else with a modern gpu does too. So I don't see the point of that argument.
16:9 is for me a bit too much to look around with my eyes and 4:3 too less its weird with bb so 16:10 is absolutley perfect
I agree with everything what you said, but there is one thing that keeps me with 4:3....
And I dont want to change my habit. At least in PUBG, Overwatch and other games I always play 1920x1080 ;)
i feel like the game feels so fucking fast on 4:3. 16:9 feels like it slows the game down a bit and makes it easier to track people. still would force myself to play 4:3 if i still played tho
In my opinion, as a player that tested both resolutions and played csgo since the release date, i feel in 4:3 the game runs smoother, for every type of situation you can face, example: spray in 4:3 is smoother vs spray in 16:9. Peeking with awp in 4:3 vs peeking in 16:9. But by the way, i preffer 16:9, and i just change to 4:3 when i've got pissed off because the low fps, tearing, etc. PS: i've got a i5 4590, not the best processor to play csgo :(
Misconseption #3 is wrong
4:3 feels way faster for me
The movement on 16:9 is so slow
4:3 is easier to hit because you are basically zooming to your enemies
