I can respect Travis's work but I don't enjoy his type of music unfortunately. TABOO was just amazing though, the album really blew me away.

ofc, it even had Zillakami on it Travis Scott is a trendy brainlet btw, he never raps about anything substantial.

tbh 2018 has been a bad year for me in terms of new music that has been released, my favorite artists havent released albums this year except for on of em and it was horse shit

Was a good return in form for em but I kinda wish he had a bit better songwriting and less bashing and beef lyrics. He is so talented, he shouldn't need to call out other artists to create something amazing. Hope he can keep it going for his next record.

I enjoyed some of Carter V, too many skippable stuff for me though. Really enjoyed MGMT and Kanye! Couldn't get into Jack White, not my thing I guess :( I still can't wrap my head around JPEGMAFIA's Veteran, I need to listen to it more I think. The others I haven't listened, will give it a shot, Thanks!!!
2018-11-01 19:02
Buddy - Harlan & Alondra is in my opinion the most under-the-radar album of the year, really good and no one knows about it.

Czarface Meets Metalface could've been so much better if the whole album played out as a battle between Czarface, who portray themselves as the heroes, and MF DOOM, who portrays himself as the villain. It was still dope, and Phantoms is an all time great track, just could have been so much more.

Can respect Travis and can tell he works hard on his craft, but not my cup of tea TABOO was fucking amazing, loved it Post Malone was great too! Carter V had too many skips for me, some tracks were dope tho City Morgue Vol.1 had lot of fun bangers, but I'm still getting used to this Trap Metal sound, idk Suicide boys a little too hard for me, Nicotine Patches was very good song for me though Rich Brian was a fun album too, just needs to work on lyrics... Needs to mature a little. I haven't listened to the rest, will try them, thanks!
2018-11-01 19:10

I am climbing my way out of depression, I no longer have any space for negativity and would rather use my time and energy into discussing things I am passionate about and sharing with other passionate people. Music has been amazing to me, I know it can help other people in similar situations, I just hope everyone can be happy and free from bad mental health!

Classical music???? Damn son, I don't know if I'm ready for this hahahaha. If you really aren't trolling and are serious, thanks for the list! I don't mind pushing my musical boundaries!
2018-11-01 19:48
Absolutely seriously about this list, though for someone coming into classical music this may seem a bit much haha. If you really want to listen to something classical, I recommend to just pick something out, don't think about it too much, and just give it a try you know. Chopin is, by the way, always a good bet for starters, very easy to get into but also a lot of depth.

The closest thing to classical I ever listened to was Chilly Gonzales LOL, it's just relaxing piano stuff that helps me concentrate during work :P Thanks for a list from a different spectrum of music, I'm sure its beautiful!
2018-11-01 19:55
I know Chilly Gonzales, the reason I first came to classical music was music like his :) If you don't feel a need to get into classical, that's fine, but if you want some more stuff, purely for relaxation, Bach solo piano works (Goldberg variations, well-tempered clavier,...) and Chopin solo piano works (Ballades, Nocturnes, Preludes,...) are definitely very well suited for that as well :)

Was a fun summer-y album, liked Brian, NIKI and Joji's stuff and Higher Brother's energy too. But It's not an album that I will come back to often, I prefer their individual projects better!

Still wish that Eminem found better material for his lyrics, but good return to form in terms of flow and energy. He is a lyrical genius, shouldn't have to diss other artists in his verses to prove a point. Let your bars and rhymes do the talking, Em!

People don't understand that old Eminem will never be back. He just not that person anymore. You need emotions for good music and good lyrics. He doesn't have any more problems in his life like he had when he made bangers. I still love him and his music is just on another level for me.

I don't want old Eminem back, I believe artists can only get better and should evolve with time as long as they work hard and keep creating so their style doesn't get stale. I believe Em has all the tools to keep making good music and I want to hear new and different sounds from him for sure. I still believe in him as an artist, he didn't need to put down others to know it, that's all.

Only enjoyed a few songs from the album :( He took a big risk with this project with the new r&b-ish sound and can respect that... just didn't enjoy it as much.
